Hagerstown, MD, is the county seat of Washington County in the western region of the state and Maryland's 18th largest city. Covering an area of 12.91 square miles, the community has a population of 40,638 residents. The city is in close proximity to Frederick, Mount Airy and Westminster, MD. The state of Maryland was one of the country's original colonies, and settlers who arrived in 1736 in western Maryland, then considered a wilderness, were offered land at a very small cost as an enticement to persuade these newcomers to settle in this attractive region
The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, located in Hagerstown's historic City Park, has been praised for being one of the leading small museums in the country. It offers a surprisingly broad variety of fine arts exhibitions for viewers of all ages, housing over 7,000 works of art representing worldwide artists and cultures. The Maryland Theatre is a central feature of the Arts and Entertainment district of the city.

Property Ratings at The Ridge
Never rent here. They are extremely rude. Save yourself from this unprofessionals and absolutley careless staff
Property Manager at The Ridge, Responded To This Review
We’re extremely sorry to that, Oscar. We would love a chance to hear more about your experience with us to better understand where we can improve.
Not worth the price. I've had better apartments in the middle of no where Texas. My apartment is infested with mold and they've been bandaid fixing brushing me off as if I haven't repeatedly told them I haven't been able to live there. The smell is so prominent and I'm still getting sick. It's their HVAC systems. I feel bad for the maintenance crew...
Property Manager at The Ridge, Responded To This Review
Hi Graciela, we genuinely appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We understand how serious mold and HVAC problems can be and apologize for any discomfort you've experienced. It’s definitely not the experience we want for our residents. We will resolve these issues immediately.
I have lived here for about 7 months and I have to give them kudos on the maintenance. They are very responsive. I specifically want to give Kyle a nod. He is friendly, timely, informative, and attentive. I have never had to wait more than a day or two for any issue, big or small.
Property Manager at The Ridge, Responded To This Review
Hi Sandra, thank you so much for sharing your positive experience! We’re thrilled to hear that our maintenance team, and specifically Kyle, has been able to meet your expectations. Timely and efficient service is something we always strive for, and it’s great to know that we’re delivering on that promise.
I've lived here for 4 years and before aion took over it was great but now it is awful the office people are rude they took away the indoor pool matience takes forever for any requests took me a year to get a working dishwasher but they come in to "check" stuff all the time but don't fix or do anything. My apartment is very run down but rent goes up every lease renewal. 25 for parking and they charge for gas and water per month and it varies each month. These apartments are not worth the price.
The gym is closed, the pools are closed and we probably won’t even get the indoor pool back. Higher rent, but nothing is better. We only have one lock on our door compared to 2. The gym and pool have been closed since the summer, they keep saying they will renovate it, I don’t know how long it takes to renovate a tiny room (grass grows faster). I’ve walked over there and I have seen them not touch a single renovation on the indoor pool and gym. The indoor pool looks disgusting (no one has been maintaining it). Bug problem for those who live on the first floor. Washer and dryer are constantly out of service. Avoid.
Martha and Yvette helped me fix a lease issue leftover from the previous owners. They were so polite and operated quickly. They are quick to respond with any maintenance issues. It’s a definite improvement from the previous ownership.
Good up-keep, responsive maintenance, quiet. I am in the "garden" section.
So far so good everyone here is nice home warming everything is nice and quite
Prop management does not keep the peace. Fails to make repairs properly first time. Unaware of hazards on property. Fails to comply with MD LT law. Retaliates against tenants who complain. Avoid this place like the plague
We have been living in this apartmrnt complex for over a year now, and we are very content being here. Comparrd to the rest of the city, rent is very affordable, and in our particular building residents only have to pay electricity; trash, water, and gas are all included, though I believe there are buildings where you have to pay other utilities as well. Heating is gas powered, and we have a gas oven. Things generally stay very quiet here, but any time we have an issue, maintenance has always been very good about arriving in a timely manner. The landlords are excellent with keeping in touch with residents by posting flyers in each building any time they need to let us know when they will need to come over to change filters or check fire alarms, or generally any time they need to be in contact with us. I feel like this is one of the best apartment complexes in the area and would recommend it to anyone.
Coming from a cramped 2bd in Bushwick Brooklyn to this beautiful 2bd in Hagerstown has been a phenomenal change. 2 onsite swimming pools one year round, a fitness room, a dog park, a church and a balcony included in the rent is a dream come true.
Oak Ridge Apartments is a great place to live! There are two pools. An outdoor pool for the summer and an indoor pool for year round swimming with a fitness center. Both are free to residents. Every building has a laundry room with two washers and two dryers that are kept very clean. The trash and recycling are collected every day and each apartment is provided a free storage bin. Maintenance is performed almost immediately when requested. They even vacuum the hallway carpets and wash the glass doors frequently. I recently moved here after living in a 3 bedroom home and I was surprised at how much room I have. I would highly recommend Oak Ridge Apartments to anyone looking for a nice place to live in a friendly community.
