Midwest City is a medium-sized suburb located about eight miles east of Downtown Oklahoma City. This planned community sits directly north of Tinker Air Force Base, making it an ideal suburb for military personnel. Most of Midwest City consists of residential neighborhoods holding affordable apartments and single-family homes for rent.
There are many events, celebrations, and places of cultural interest in and around Midwest City. One event is the “Made in Oklahoma Wine, Beer and Food Festival” held annually in May. This event includes a motorcycle show, live music, food, and drinks from local vendors as well as an air show. For military buffs, there is a display of several retired Air Force Fighter Planes located on 29th Street across from the military base. Additional green spaces in town are located along Soldier Creek and provide playgrounds, trails, and picnic facilities.

Property Ratings at The Ridge
Haven’t had air conditioning in 2 months just for them to tell me it’s annoying for me to email them about it continuously. ?? but I’m living in a apartment that consistently 85-90 degrees
I would give it a 0 Star if I could, I applied a few days ago and later that night I got a email saying "Congrats on your lease signing and welcome to your new home". I downloaded the app they told me too, made a profile and everything. It even said I was in 614 (Pending) with rent due in 14 days. I called this morning because I had a feeling something was off, turns out I was actually denied??? Why would you send out a email saying congrats??? I start school in less than 20 days and have been apartment hunting for 2 months now. I legit started packing and ready to go to my new home. now im having to start looking again. Just save your application fee money to go somewhere else.
I have waited an entire week, during the hottest week of the year so far, for them to fix my air conditioning and still no end in sight. I have waited almost two years for them to fix the light outside my apartment (my porch light) to no avail. I thought the new management would be more responsive to issues but I am learning they are no better than the old management. There is always trash on the grounds, dog poop everywhere, unsupervised kids on the playground who have destroyed the slide and use foul language so loud it can be heard in my apartment. I do not recommend you move here and I will be leaving at the end of my lease.
I just moved in the end of May 2021. I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment with my daughter, apon moving in I applied online for a 2 bedroom down stairs by the kids park, they said they don't go off online applications, so I didn't get what I wanted, the first week we had heavy rain and my ceiling above her door frame is down pouring rain, (it's July and still not fixed and no updates, the door frame has now split in half contacted them twice they said the roofing company is busy.) My stove is broken knob doesn't turn its cracked, my kitchen sink consistently drips. Lots of earwicks for some reason here. I've found about 5 dead roaches on my kitchen floor, I think my neighbors have been spraying what ever they got and they've been coming over here to die. I live on the dog park side of the apartment complex, and boy does nobody clean up after their dog, first week here my daughter stepped in dog poop on the side walk, moving in my furniture I had to navigate around the dog poop in front of the stairs... and last but not least they gave me a move in special and didn't input it in the system when I finally got them to fix it they still charged me a $50 late fee, from having to wait for them to fix it? Aside all that it's pretty quiet here and I've talked to my neighbors everybody is pretty friendly and stays to themselves. They take really good care of the lawn and are consistently fixing things around the complex, (lights, trees, painting the parking spaces etc.) I think this is the best apartment complex you'll get for the price, and the management seems to really be trying.
Management had been less than helpful in moving out. They continuously tried to add “hurdles” in the process. Having rented for years prior elsewhere I found this appalling. Moving in I found that my apartment was riddled with mouse droppings. The whole place was a mess. It was as if the previous tenant had moved hours before I got there. It was disgusting. As a previous reviewer said, this mismanaged, rundown property was renamed after it caught bad news.
I can't speak for others I can only speak for myself. I've lived here for 8 years and went through several groups of management. I consider myself a decent and responsible tenant. I've only experienced minor issues that come with living in a place for 8 years and i haven't had any major problems with my apartment, appliances or management. I pay my rent on time, follow the rules of the tenants and keep to myself. I work 5 miles from where i live and everything i need is within a 10 miles radius like grocery stores, gym, gas, department stores, etc. The rent is cheaper than anything else I've seen, i don't have any problems, not too many people live around my area, the Ridge is remodeling and upgrading so that's good, too. I like my apartment and don't plan on moving out anytime soon....
Have lived here for a few years with constent promise of fixing things by the old owners. Well the new owners came in with the same lies. Been on the news about the water issues and they arent responsive to issues.
This place was just on the news. Some buildings have no heat and/or water. Some buildings have been condemned. No response to request for statement from management. They're going down fast.
Please do not rent here. Wanted something as a starter home for my family while we get situated in our careers and college. At first it was decent. We could live comfortably. Then came the problems. Leaks in several rooms of the house. Mold in two closets. They sent some dudes to "fix" the roof which only made problems worse. With resulted in our living room roof collapsing. I am horrified and sad that my children have to go through something like this. Please, please, please do not rent here.
Don't be fooled by the low rent. I'm from Texas and started scouting apartments in OKC to move. I looked online and was amazed by the "model" apartments that Eden Cove had, so the next visit I went to view. The models were super nice and the rent was very cheap compared to Texas....little did I know. When I moved in, my gas stove did not work (which took them over a week to fix), it took them over 2 months to get a mirror in the half bathroom and 6 months to fix the rack in the closet. The tub needed to be repainted and there was a constant leak in the ceiling which caused major mildew. There was always issues with the hot water; my building being without for 2 weeks. Roaches were a constant issue. I won't even go into gun shots that would fire in the middle of the night. Upon me moving out, I had the carpet professionally cleaned, spent extra time cleaning the kitchen and bathroom and even did a walk through with apartment personnel. The only issue personnel told me was where we hung pictures and we may be charged for patching..... 3 months later I get a call from a debt collector stating I owe money for carpet, stove, bathroom cleaning and some paint. I have video of my spotless apartment upon leaving and fighting this. On top of everything else, the cops are always there. My car was broken into as well as my neighbors (3 times for her). There is a reason why the rent is so cheap. BUYER BEWARE!!

Eden Cove is the most horrible apartments I have ever lived in. Maintenance is slow with fixing any and all issues. I’ve been here for 3 years and have a roof leak the whole time. Every time I call they come patch the roof in the inside of my apartment. When I first moved in I killed 10 mice in the first month and also had roaches. The hot water is always off, the longest I went without hot water was around 2 to 3 weeks. I could go on and on but last I have a 4 year old child and the air is not working, it’s about 90 degrees out side and 80 in my house. I’ve asked for a air unit and they will not give me one. I wouldn’t give them any stars at all.

I really love my new apartment. It’s spacious and quiet. I put in a request for maintenance to replace my fan in my heating and air conditioning unit and were on it right away. The front office people are very nice and approachable. I have been here a month and so far so good.

Love my apartment, great friendly staff great community LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEE it
Staying here now, def worst apts that I've stayed in! Office staff are liars and never get anything done! Carpet was in terrible condition! Def not worth the amount they are charging either
Do NOT sign a lease with this place! First off, there are WAY too many bugs around this place. Roaches, spiders, silverfish, you name it, they got it. Not only that, but it will take them MONTHS to fix anything after you report it. They will turn the water off at random times without warning, so if you are in the middle of showering with shampoo in your hair and they turn the water off, good luck. They just love to lure you in with discounts, but will hide all these stupid fees in your contract. They will also change the policy on you WITHOUT notice. They now REQUIRE you to pay online, and will charge you to do so. The manager won't solve any problems that were caused by them. No weather stripping on doors or windows. They won't change out the carpet (I guess their idea of a clean apartment to first move into is a big hole in the middle of the living room). I wouldn't even give it a 1 star rating! Stay away!!!
Keeps changing ther POLICY WITHOUT NOTICE. A lot of hidden fee & penalty from policy change. You wouldn't know until you receive bill from them. And the manager wouldn't solve any problem from their side of mistake. Lots of roach. Doesn't matter how much you keep your unit clean. Takes months to repair on simple fix after 10 times of request. They REQUIRE online payment on their rent that REQUIRE fee on each payment. They offer a lot of discount when you sign a contract, but believe me they will charge way more hidden fees during lease.
They offer natural gas in fix price. Sounds pretty good when you sign a lease. But some reason, maybe water tank is too small, can't take even single shower with out cold water coming out so sudden. Roaches are everywhere. Manager doesn't do anything to fix or solve their side of mistake. You will hear a lot of noise or argument from neighbor at midnight. Just one worst place to live. You can find a lot better place with this price.
We have been here 1/&half yr. & they are terrible. Bugs of all kind, takes months to fix a problem or replace. Major problems are ac/ heat will stop working, as well as water cut off for hours. No weather stripping on doors or windows. Our Town House has flooded several times & they won't replace padding or carpet. Smells awful. Call health department once already. Looking to move very soon. Have had enough.would not recommend unless there isn't another choice. You will be very disappointed.I wouldn't even rate one star....
These people will rip you off. We lived here for a year with our pets and the conditions were terrible. No weather stripping on the door, moldy bathrooms, roaches, if anything breaks- it's not getting fixed. What's worse is, we did not complain about any of this and even paid $900 in pet fees. Now that we've moved out we have an itemized list of damages that's $2500 dollars not including the deposit. And they didn't even factor the pet fees into this amount! Lazy, thieves.
The apartment complex is decent for the price of rent. They are a little slow getting some of the matienance request taken care of. It's a pretty quiet complex. the apartments aren't upscale but for the price you pay they're good.
I've lived in a few apartments in my life and nothing is more frustrating than lazy maintenance crew. The maintenance crew at Eden cove are on point and they answer your requests if not same day then next day. The grounds are kept clean. The pool looks good. There's even a little track to take your pets out for some exercise. It's also by a major shopping center so goods are never far away. The management almost always answers my calls, and management is attentive and caring of their tenants. They run a good business here and I'm gonna be partly sad when I leave to look for a house because it's real good over here.
I got a year contract at this apartment complex. I'm newly married, and was excited about this inexpensive, spacious apartment until we moved in and saw it was infested with roaches. I mean, absolute nightmare infestation. Crawling up the walls, in the cabinets, and vents. I kill maybe 20-30 cockroaches a DAY. They have had pest control come in twice to spray but I've only seen a slight reduction. This place is disgusting.
These apartments offer extremely poor service. I have lived here three years and it is a tradition for maintenance to come months after you have requested their service regarding serious issues, and hot water is regularly turned off particularly around holidays and remains off for days. As for the excuse it is always a broken pipe or something of that nature that takes them a month to fix.
mold issues for three months. office manager refuses to fix the sewage problem on back patio. and our a/c hasn't worked and its running up our electric bill.
I have lived in this apartment since December. Unfortunately, I found it on this website but at that time there were no reviews of it. Since my family has moved into this apartment we have had a constant problem with roaches. We moved out for a week and the management was unwilling to let us out of the lease, thus forcing us to live here. We were told that we need to give them time to fix the problem. 5 months later I still have roaches. They have bred and now I have "baby" roaches everywhere. The management has sprayed but it is ineffective as they are in the walls of this building. I have found out that it is not just my apartment but all of the buildings surrounding me. Additionally, other work orders are hard to get done. The grounds are kept up well. THe pics here are deceiving. Kids are not monitored well by their parents and heaven help you if you live near the park. We are trapped in this place and I hope this will help others.
the only thing i could say is the appartment size was great for a 3 bed 2 bath and the park. but there were rotches no matter how clean the house was we had to tos the fernacher bacuse it was so bad, the ac went out in the middle of the summer in over 100 degree temps and took them several times to get it fixt right and by the time it was fixed the heat wave had broke. They never opened the 2 nd pool and the one by the office was only open from 11 am - 6 pm. and be careful with the walls, the paint they used wipes off when you try to clean the walls and if there is anything on the walls they will charge you $500 just to paint when they already have the paint all you had to do was take a cantaner to them and they would give you the paint. all in all did not like the appartments.
