The Riviera at Clear Lake

I’ve lived here since october and we’ve had so many issues. I came back from a trip and my whole bathroom was flooded from a leak in the ceiling. They patched it up but left the mold. A couple weeks later the mold just got worse and i’ve contacted them multiple times and they say they’re going to put a work order in. Well a little time later there was another leak in the ceiling in a different place. I called and they said the same thing. They’ll put in a work order. They finally sent someone over and he looked at it and said he would come back tomorrow. Never showed. So we called again and once again they said they would put in a work order. So finally my boyfriend called and asked to speak to a higher up and they put the property manager on the phone. She said she would come do a walk through at 230 that day. 230 hit but it was raining so i wasn’t too upset, she didn’t show until 5 o’clock. Did the walk through and said they would have to fix the upstairs neighbors first but they would come asap. It’s been 2 weeks and nobody has came. Not to mention the bugs. We called about bugs multiple times as well and they said they would put us on the list for pest control and that took months. They finally came when the property manager did and only sprayed behind the fridge and it hasn’t been any better. The new management haven’t made any changes. Do not recommend moving here.

I lived here for 1.5 yrs and it sucked. I have terrible allergies that started when I started living there and I moved out 6 months ago or so and I'm still dealing with it. The entire master bedroom ceiling fell and I saw mold in the vents and that is how I found out I was living in mold for 1.5 yrs. Don't live here. Please don't.

I am seeing a lot of changes since a new company took over - they are cleaning up laundry room, pool, walkways and making repairs, they put in cameras, some roofs and apartments were repaired so it seems they are upgrading.

I've been here at The Riviera at Clear Lake for about (2) two years and new management as brought a smile back to me as if I moved in for the 1st time! Thank you very much for all that you have done here.

It is has good service. The staff is very friendly and will do whatever they can to help you. Schooling in this area is excellent as well.

Everything is poor in this place from staff to Maintenance they have no communication whatsoever they are lazy and have no common sense there is roaches all over I have paid myself to clean up the mess not even the roaches..my lease I made just for 6 moths worst place to stay

Very Good Office Management, Apartment Is In A Nice Location Nothing Is Too Far , Maintenance Is Very Nice , Brennan Living Here For Almost 2 Year & Haven't Had Any Problems. ????

I've been waiting for almost 6 months for maintenance and after multiple requests I have gotten nothing but excuses. A/C barely blows (they say that's common), heater does not work at all, bugs - lots and lots of bugs, appliances are on their last leg, windows are sealed shut, water stinks like sewage, water temp is never steady (it will literally go from scalding hot to chilling cold), and if you use the microwave all of your lights dim. Since anyone can review these apartments, if it is a positive review it is actually the property management doing their own review. Feel free to stop and talk to anyone you see walking to their car, the truth will be told then. Overall I've seen more money and time spent on the shrubs and office repairs than anywhere else on this property. I will definitely be moving and making sure I post this review everywhere.

I moved to these apartments in the middle of july and I love it! Since I have been here I have had one or two small issues and The staff and office manager addressed them quickly. I know there is a lot of negative reviews on here, but I have never once had a issue with the staff or anything like that, in fact I have left all my windows on my car open in a high foot traffic area and in the morning nothing was missing or damaged. Its my personal opinion that a few of these negative review's are from people who are use to getting there way and problem people and dont like the fact that the new management is doing there there best to get rid of the the trash that causes the problems...

The first day we were supposed to move in we couldn't due to the lock on the door not working and then we finally move in we immediately find out the A/C doesn't work, there are bugs in the fridge, everytime it rains the ceiling leaks, the property is littered with trash, and constant gang graffiti, the staff is very unprofessional and unorganized, maintenance takes months until they finally show up only to not fix anything, the trash is constantly overflowing, some of these reviews are very questionable and seem like they are written by the staff themselves. Apparently we pay pest control but it's virtually nonexistent since there are roaches and rats on the property, there is a huge hole in the roof where there is clearly decaying wood and termite damage. The bottom line is that this place needs to be demolished.

This place is under new management now! They have really been trying to give their residents a better quality of living and get rid of how trashy it was before! Apartments have new flooring, appliances, the works!! Definitely go check it and get ready to be surprised at how well they have turned around this place!

I love the location of our apartment. The place itself is old and needs a lot of work. We have mold that never gets fixed, paint peeling off the walls, cant ever get rid of roaches and horrible water pressure. They also have problems with sewage backing up a lot. The office staff always makes you feel stupid and like they dont have time to fix your problems. There are a ton of stray cats everywhere. Like i said, location is great but these apartments are not that great to live in.

Never in my life of renting have I ever encountered a more unprofessional and unorganized property! To begin with the management and employees are constantly fired and relocated. The same person is never in the office. Maintenance calls are answered when they get time and if it falls on a weekend they will NEVER be answered. Cars that are LEGALLY parked are towed and the management of the day does not make it a priority to provide the information to help you claim your car without having to pay for the ILLEGAL tow and storage fees. The tow company information that is posted is incorrect and is a scam orchestrated by the management and the tow company. The so called property supervisors are unprofessional in person and on the phone. The pool has NEVER been in working order, trash is strewn all over the property, and the landscape looks like a desert land after they cut ALL the trees down. If you can find somewhere better to live, DO SO! It is not worth the headache or stress to deal with these unprofessional and untrained so called employees. They should be ashamed how they treat hard working people who pay their rent on time and cause no property issues. When I get through with Karya Management in court they will be sorry they ever crossed me. RUN RUN RUN! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! ZERO stars!

The management here will lie to you to get you in and take your money but once you are in they will never fix anything you have a problem with. I've lived here for 3 years and the pools have never been open but the pictures look nice. There is trash all over.. broken playground, broken water fountain that has glass ... they will cash your money order and then say you never pay rent.. this has happen more then one time and why they keep changing management. they are being taken to court for being Thieves.. this is not a good apartment to be in and the management and the employees are liars and thieves.. please be careful when trying to live here

After looking in many places for a new place to call home, I came across the bays I have lived here for the past 2 months and I couldn't be happier. great location, and very nice girls in the office ... I have never been in an office where they offer you coffee and donuts. really nice. I have had one problem in my place but they took care of it that after noon. I even canceled my 24 fitness membership I now have access to my personal gym in the property and its not even crowed.. YESS

This is awesome great to live at nice and quiet, great amenities close to everything. staff just changed but they are super nice. they are doing a lot upgrades.super happy

I have lived here going on a year and have not had many issues. The office staff has changed but they are very friendly. It is not a brand new complex so of course there are unexpected issues however when I call to report an issue, maint is friendly and efficient. They are building a gym now and have resident events once a week. My lease is up in a few months and I dont plan on going anywhere

Office staff is really bad, they treat you really nice when you go to get information for a new lease, then after living there, the way they treat you makes you avoid going there again, at all costs. You don't get your account statement every month so you don't know how much to pay for utilities. If you need something repaired, they take weeks to do it. You go to the office to ask something or complain they tell you yes we'll fix it, but you have to go there again to ask them when are they going to to do it. they send you notices about money you owe them while you don't and when you go go to ask about it they tell you to ignore it, they'll fix it, but then you go there three days later to ask if they fixed it and you found they didn't do anything and keep receiving notices of late payment, even notices to vacate in three days. Trash dumps are nasty. My apartment smelled like excrement for weeks, and I am not exaggerating it, it did. If you want to move out, even your lease contract ended, you can't unless you tell them with two months in advance.
