Property Ratings at The Rochester Apartments
This place is great! I moved here over a year ago from Illinois and didn't have the opportunity to take a tour so I was very nervous. I was looking for a place on the first floor or with an elevator for my dog with a bad leg. I was relieved when I found this place! I am renting a storyteller and love the quality of the apartment. My bathroom has plenty of cabinet space which I was really lacking at my old apartment. Water pressure is great and grateful for hot water. I was worried the bedroom would be slightly too small, but I can fit my queen sized bed, a large dresser, a vanity, and a tall thin dresser. Also, I am pumped about having a washer and dryer in my walk in closet. I am in love with the kitchen! There is so much space to food prep and keep my appliances on the counter top. There is plenty of storage and I love the buffet countertop. The living room is large enough for a couch, tv, computer desk, and some bookshelves which is what I brought with me! I love having wooden floors, especially with a pet. We have always had great management here that are available when you need them and extremely helpful. They also have small events throughout the year for fun including hot dogs, pizza, small gifts for a holiday, etc. The dog park is great! Everyone is very respectful of each other and make sure every kind of dog has the opportunity to use it. There is also a water bowl out there, lounge chair, and an umbrella during the summer time. I have to admit I haven't used the gym as much as I would like, but it is never jam packed and has enough equipment for people to use during the day. There's also a lounge area where you can sit and watch tv, work, play ping-pong, and there are vending machines available for a late night candy bar. All packages are delivered to the package room where you can also store your bike. I have never lost a package and there is a dolly available for any of the large parcels. This complex is always kept extremely clean and the cleaning staff are great. Everything is so welcoming here and it's always nice to see your neighbors. There are also a bunch of pets and we love them all!
I moved in December 15th of last year and there have been three managers part time in the office since, none of which ever seem to physically be here. The general attitude seems to favor dogs over people. If you are a musician, don't even think about living here. Even at reasonable levels, listening to music here is in violation of other's reasonable enjoyment of the premises while obviously no one carea about yours. Two noise complaints in 30 days, (one of which I wasn't even home for) renders me now homeless. The autoclosing doors slam during all hours of the day, the weight room needs regular cleaning.
Property Manager at The Rochester Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are so sorry to see a 1-star review. Rochester has always had a part-time manager due to the size of the property, but you are correct there have been 3 part-time managers since you moved in. 1 of those 3 managers was our "fill-in" manager while we searched for our new permanent manager. The gym is professionally cleaned 3 times a week. I do not show you have ever contacted us about the cleanliness of the gym. I apologize for the doors, they are on auto closures to ensure the property remains secure. In looking through your file it appears that there have been several times that police and property security have been called to your apartment. We have received multiple noise complaints from several different neighbors on you. It also appears that the Humane Society removed your dogs and they were not returned to you back in April. So you are correct. Anyone that violates the lease agreement will be evicted and we will protect the rights of our other residents in the building.
The apartments are pet friendly and very spacious! The property manager Nicole is awesome and very helpful!
I absolutely LOVE living at The Rochester! The apartments are really nice and I love the exposed brick in the hallways as well as the high ceilings. I have had nothing but good experiences here with neighbors! And our property manager Maria is the BEST!! She is so quick to respond to emails and questions! The amenities are really nice too! The workout room is small but it's still nice to have one. The only issue that I have occasionally is parking since we don't have designated parking. HOWEVER, it is merely a small connivance and is only an issue during the CWS (but we have a back parking lot which comes in handy!). Another great part of living here is the proximity of the building. We are in walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and shops. I am a student at Creighton University and also appreciate how close it is to campus! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend The Rochester to anyone! I have had such a great experience here!
I moved to Omaha to attend grad school at Creighton and I love being so close to campus! The building is really unique in that it used to be an old warehouse and there are still a lot of the original structures in the building. I have a sliding barndoor in my apartment and a huge kitchen that I love! The walls are fairly thin so I can often times hear my neighbors conversations, but other than that the Rochester is great. Management is wonderful and always so helpful. Rent is decently priced, but one of the cheapest, yet livable places in town. You are close to many entertainment facilities and resturants which I am able to walk to all of the time which is nice so I do not have to look for parking. I have already extended my lease once and intend to live here until I am done with school in 2020.
The Rochester is quite unique as it was once an old warehouse and now a trendy industrial themed apartment building. I very much enjoy living in this building because of the individually that it possesses. There are tons of amenities such as a large common area that provides a great space to study, a gym, and even free wifi! Management is very friendly and always trying to find ways to do nice things for the residents. During the holiday season there was a gift wrapping station set up for us in the common area and theres always a bowl near the main entrance that’s kept stocked full off dog treats for the furry residents of the Rochester. It’s the small thing! I love living here and I think you would too.
I have really enjoyed living at the Rochester! It is at a great location especially during College World Series time. The apartments are very new and nice, they come with current appliances. The apartments have a very modern feel to them in the design and several two and three bedroom apartments are lofts with a ton of space. The property manager is very nice and responds immediately to any concerns. Whenever there is a maintenance issue it is taken care of that same day. The apartments are very reasonably priced and come with a lot of amenities not included at other apartments like free parking and free wifi. Overall great experience!
Quality appliances, bathrooms, clean facility. Small but nice work out room, free coffee, free parking (not underground), and free wifi. Responsible to pay for water, MUD and OPPD (approximately $60 per person per month in a 3 bedroom). More of a simple feel than other downtown apartments, but also cheaper (the amenities you'd probably barely use but are paying for in the other apartments. Management is reliable and genuine. No worries about your living situation at the Rochester, no added stress! Sometimes wish rent was cheaper, but very good for the location. Check out the Ped bridge and all the trails within walking distance, perfect for spending time outside.
Great place to live at! There is free parking and wifi. I have never experienced any major problems with the free wifi. Sometimes at night it can be a little slow, but it always works! As far as parking goes, I have always found a spot to park. There is enough lighting around the building and parking spots, that I never feel un-safe when I get home late at night. The gym is small, but it has a good selection of equipment. The management staff is great and I always see Mariah in the office when I get back from school or work. The location is perfect and I have enjoyed my time here so far!
I moved into the Rochester this past August and I absolutely love it here! The little workout room and the free coffee machine have been my best friends. The location is perfect! I'm a runner and I just take off right from the Rochester and it's only about 1 mile away from the Pedestrian bridge. It's also only about a mile away from Old Market! I don't have a dog (I wish I did), but I get my puppy fix from all the residents who are dog owners! The building is clean, our property manager is always helpful and happy, and I LOVE that we don't have to pay for parking (many other apartments we looked at charged a monthly parking bill).
I have been here since July and I enjoy living here! I had a minor problem with my toilet and someone was out here at 10pm! I really appreciated that. Mariah is also very understanding and gets back to you quickly.
This apartment is in a GREAT location, especially being a Creighton student. The facilities are kept clean, the workout room is incredibly convenient, and there is FREE COFFEE 24/7!!! The property manager always responds to my emails quickly and maintenance will always come within the day to fix any issues you may have. I love this apartment!
WE RECEIVED AN OFFER OF FREE TARGET GIFTCARDS IN RETURN FOR POSITIVE REVIEWS!!! (So take any reviews submitted closely around the same time with a grain of salt.) Apartment is primarily filled with Creighton students and definitely has a dormitory feel to it—Not something I would prefer for the cost of the apartments. They are reasonably priced however you are required to pay for all utilities and the free internet is always down (not that it matters because it's slow anyways). I don't believe I'm getting full value. No grill like the other apartments in the area offer; just a dingy charcoal one you'd expect to see at a public park. The free on street parking will likely pose a problem during CWS since management doesn't have a plan for parking during those weeks. ALSO, there were three cars that were broken into recently. Don't mistake the cheaper price for a bargain; you could spend almost the same and potentially less for more amenities at other downtown properties.
Property Manager at The Rochester Apartments, Responded To This Review
We certainly appreciate all feedback from our residents. In September we did ask our residents to "Tell Us How We Are Doing". Any and all reviews were entered into a gift card drawing. The College World Series is certainly a busy time in the area. We were able to get through this past College World Series without any issues. There are also plans to improve parking for our residents in the very near future. Again we do not charge for parking, and provide free private parking to our residents during the World Series. Gas grills are something we could certainly look into and see if we are able to do it this spring. Not all utilities are paid by the resident, trash/recycling and pest control are included with the residents' rent. Water/sewer is charged to the resident based on their own personal usage with individual water meters, and not allocated to all residents as is done in other downtown properties. If you are having any issues with your free wireless internet please let Mariah know so we can get it taken care of for you. If you need anything else or have any questions please contact the manager's office.
I like the apartment a lot. Would prefer a bedroom window.
The Rochester has a great location in Omaha. It is right next to the TD Ameritrade Center and Century Link. It is also not too far from downtown. The Rochester is cute remodel of an old warehouse. They did a really great job with this remodel! We are the first people to live in our apartment so everything is new. The appliances are really nice and they work well. There is a lot of room in the kitchen and living area. The bedrooms are a reasonable size as well! The community gym is small, but it has enough equipment and it is never too crowded. Lastly, the best part about the Rochester is that they have a FREE coffee machine!
I have lived here for about 4 months and am loving it. The complex is always very clean and tidy. The staff is really nice too. Any time there is an issue they are quick to resolve it. I have had to call maintenance a couple times for minor issues, and they arrived within an hour or so to fix them. The location is great as well. The north downtown area already has a lot of fun places to go, and they are continuing to revive the area. It is just a short walk to Old Market as well. I am so glad that I can call this place home!
I moved into this building in mid July, and I love living here! It is located in the heart of downtown and is less than a mile away from the old market. The building is well kept, everything is clean and brand new. I love the fitness center and the latte machine set up in the lounge. Also the property manager is extremely helpful! Anytime I have had an issue i shoot her an email and she emails me back within an hours worth of time.
I moved into this apartment complex on the 6th of June (after it was newly opened on the 1st) and I have to say they have done a great job with the whole opening process, I have yet to experience any issues that were not easily and quickly fixed). They are very reasonably priced and the apartments are very cute and homey. The management staff is also wonderful. Mariah is very helpful and is even willing to work with people on holding checks until payday. She does not have to do this but she did any way for better customer service. I am very happy with these apartments and I believe anyone else will be as well. I even referred one of my employees to this location and she loves it too!
My boyfriend and I have lived here since September and absolutely love it. This was the best choice we have ever made together. The apartments and entire building is clean, shiny and new. They are beautifully designed and decorated with updated, modern fixtures and appliances. It is very quiet and private here with an amazing downtown location. I would recommend everyone to these apartments, excellent choice.
The place is pipin hot. Its outfitted with free ping pong and lattes, state if the art gym, and smart tvs. The Rochester is adorned with artwork and least i forget free wifi.

The apartments here at the the Rochester are great looking, a good size and perfect for the young professional or college student who wants to live in an upcoming urban area for a great price. The appliances are all brushed steel and there is a very modern feel to every unit. The common areas are great and offer free coffee and a gym which is great! It's a great and exciting place to live, especially when the College World Series or football season is going on. It's about a 5 min ride into the downtown area/ old market where there are great bars, museums , and restaurants to go out and have fun. It's also located a block or two from Creighton University which is a plus for college students. I love everything about this place and plan to renew my lease for another year!
The Rochester Apartments in downtown Omaha is perfect place to call home! TD Ameritrade Park is right in your backyard and your just a short walk/ or a nice short bike ride to all the Old Market shops and restaurants and Creighton University!! The Rochester apartments offer its residences an indoor workout room, a bike room to store your bikes, a coffee machine, and a community area complete with 2 TV's and a ping pong table! The apartments are brand new and have a modern feel to them! Come check them out!
After looking at several apartments in downtown Omaha and feeling frustrated by the sizes and prices the Rochester was a breath of fresh air! We love the new appliances, coffee bar in the lobby, and original features in the building. If you are looking for an industrial style apartment that is affordable with high ceilings look no further. Maintence and management are very punctual and the location is near many attractions. One of my favorite features is the bar lights in each apartment that were commissioned from hot shops glass artists right next door!
To those of you looking for a new apartment in North Downtown of Omaha, look no further than The Rochester! It has great amenities, and an even better community! Everyone is friendly, and you'll feel at home in no time! As an added bonus, the community is pet friendly, so you'll be surrounded by furry friends even if you don't have one. :) Hope to see you at The Rochester soon!
This is the perfect location and building! It is just a short walk to TD Ameritrade Park, the CenturyLink Center, all different kinds of restaurants, shops, and the riverwalk trail. It is a unique apartment in the downtown location because it is one of few that is pet friendly! The community atmosphere of the building makes it a great environment to meet new people. HUGE BONUS is a coffee machine in the community area that is FREE!
I found this place through apartments.com and love living here! It's close to Creighton, riverfront path, and good local establishments. My search was done remotely and office staff was always quick to respond to my questions and sent photos of the specific apartments since they weren't on the website yet. The weight room has all I need for a good workout, the game room is a fun place to watch football with neighbors, and the Wi-Fi has never let me down!
The Rochester is a great place to live if you're looking for urban living. It is a quick walk to restaurants, parks, and shopping in the downtown Omaha area. The building itself has been newly renovated and has an industrial yet homey vibe, with plenty of amenities (including a coffee/espresso bar) to meet your needs. The common areas are accessible & well-maintained, and staff has been very helpful. As an added bonus, The Rochester allows some pets and has a green space for them as well. Overall, The Rochester is a great place to live in a great location, which can be difficult to find!
This apartment is a great location for a great price. More than satisfied with the amenities. I love the FREE coffee bar, it is the perfect start to my morning. The property manager and maintenance staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! It is conveniently located to many downtown attractions, such as the Old Market, Mid-Town, and Creighton University.
Loving it here at the Rochester - great management and amenities. Great location as well!
I've lived in two NuStyle apartments and I have had an amazing experience at each location. They are personable and take the time to get to know each of their tenants as well as are willing to work with you with any problem or situation you have. They are organized and quick to answer any questions you have and on top of everything they are affordable! I would recommend NuStyle apartments to anyone looking for an apartment in the area.
My roommate and I just recently moved in and everyone at The Rochester is incredibly helpful and friendly. We live in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and absolutely love it. So spacious and comfortable. And the location is unbeatable! I would recommend The Rochester Apartments to anyone.
I absolutely give my new apartment at The Rochester in Omaha Nebraska 5 stars. I live in a two story loft-2 bedroom 2 bathroom. There are 4 of us total and we all have more than enough room! Brand new interior, inexpensive rent, and ideal downtown location make the Rochester a perfect fit for up and coming young professionals. I can personally thank Apartments.com for helping me find my new home!
