Property Ratings at Timberline on the Green
I have lived at Ruckus for a year and ended up renewing my lease. Previously the reviews that people have posted were true but now that there is new management things have done a complete 180 on the property and is so much better. Which is why I ended up renewing my lease with them. I talked with Connor and Joseph at the front desk which were very helpful in answering my questions I had and ended up helping me renew my lease. I would definitely recommend coming by the property interacting with the staff and checking it out for yourself.
Our son lived at the Ruckus apartments for two years while attending WSU. Their customer service is quite friendly, but these are students working there. The management underlying the operation is *ridiculously* incompetent. Monthly our payments had been made very much on time, yet monthly they claimed payment was late, then monthly they would discover our payment had indeed been made on time.... I'm talking literally EVERY MONTH! Unbelievable. And communication? Not once did I *ever* get a promised callback from management over any issue I had called about. Particularly over the issue of the final payment, my multiple emails, phone calls, text messages and portal messages were ALL flat out ignored! I was told a final payment I had made 6 weeks before the end of the lease was all that was owed, completely satisfying our obligations. Weeks later, near the end of the lease term, we get another bill for several hundred dollars! My multiple contact attempts (originating PRIOR to the application of any late fees) were made to simply ask how they came to conclude that we owed more. They didn't answer. I called, got a student who said they would pass my message on to management to call me back, got no callback. Portal messages, unanswered. Confirmed the email I was sending messages to was correct, but still no response. $75 late fee applied and the payment was forcibly taken from our security deposit. We never did learn why the final payment wasn't actually final. Is it worth a couple hundred bucks to take them to court? No, so they got away with it. Instead I am telling my story here. Good luck with your Ruckus experience! Hope it is a better one than ours was. Don't say I didn't warn you! ;)
If I could give 0 stars I would. We toured this place in April. Signed a lease then, too. Asked for something not on ground floor. Was told no problem. Had a couple of questions during the summer so tried to call the office. They never answer, it always goes to answering service. They tell you they will call us back. They don't, EVER. Well, apartment assignments were sent out. Guess where we were assigned? Yes, ground floor. Called multiple times to get it fixed. Never got a call back. Daughter's roommate shows up today to move in (8/19/2022). Apartment assigned is being used by some people not on a lease. And the complex is not interested in removing them. We paid rent last night, and have no place to move in to. At this point all we want is our rent money back and lease to be cancelled. We will not be living in this place, and do not recommend anybody else move there, either!
Halfway through the year, on two days notice they forced us to move out for construction. They offered absolutely no compensation, apology or anything. They said giving us a new unit to move into counted as compensation, basically giving us the finger to any reasonable requests. They advertised a private gym, study lounge, pool and hot tub and then immediately placed them under construction after move in without telling us when we signed. Also the walls are very thin and you can hear basically everything your roommates and neighbors are doing. Live literally anywhere else.
They take advantage of kids that are just getting into the world of leasing, gave me a disgusting apartment, and they made us pay for a whole month of rent and didn't allow us to move in until the month was almost over. Terrible service, it's hard to get a hold of anyone here. Overall, they will take your money.
Love this all inclusive student living community! Having everything so close to home makes life so much easier! The staff is so friendly and helpful!
