The Rustic of McKinney

The new managment here is proving to provide very positive changes! Jaena is the new manager and problems from the past and being addressed. The dog park is clean, the pool is clean and up to code and pest control is provided. Thank goodness for the change! Management matters and Jaena actually listens and is accommodating! Thank you Rustic, we needing these changes!!

Love this location enough to write multiple reviews and found this Unit through this app. Staff was great, apt looks just like the model they showed. Kathy and Toni are fantastic staff members who really cared about making me feel welcomed instead of how landlords usually treat tenants. Best part was the patio and even though there’s a giant park nearby, it still stay super quiet. Highly recommend this location for those looking for a nice quiet living space.

It was refreshing to walk into an apt leasing ofc and be treated so warmly by the agent. I wasn't sure that I would actually like the "rustic" look but one step in and I was sold. Made me feel like I was in a home not an apt!

grounds and buildings are kept very nicely. You cannot beat this location, close to everything but still kind of an oasis with the park across the street. Having been homeowners since 1986, we were worried about apartment living, but so far have been very pleasantly surprised

Friendly staff, unbeatable location, maintenance is very quick, they’re always willing to work with you, the complex stays clean

At first glance, the apartments are very clean but upon further inspection, there are small discrepancies in the details. Examples include, painted over holes, backsplash laminate is peeling, corners on doors are splitting. Overall, it's a nice place to live but I'm not sure it's worth the price I'm currently paying.

I would as it's a nice family community area and the park across the street is great. It's very clean and well cared for.

This apartment complex is a wonderful place to live, It is a safe area and a lot of shops and parks are close by.

The place is very quiet ,clean and good maintenance ,nice place to enjoy with your childrens walking and playing around the parks you feel the nature I love it .

Love the office staff and privacy of the neighborhood. Everyone respects the curfew and is overall a very nice place to be.

Lack of storage- no patio closet or pantry. Otherwise great

my only issue has been getting things fixed in a timely manner or the apt complex saying its fixed when it isnt. not sure if this is more on the maintenance people or on the property group.

The office personnel were great. The location is convenient to shopping. The apartments are large.

The community and units need some maintenance and clean-up/updating. The clutter on balconies and fact that tenants can smoke on balconies which then drafts into other units is not inviting. It looks like several porches have hornets nests and need power washing.

I have already turned my siblings to the property. Love it.

Location beside the park trails, valet trash pick up, dog skill park, fireplace, balcony, pet friendly.

I've been living here for six years I stared out in your one bedroom and in March moved into your two bedroom I can say I enjoy where I live

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!! If there were an option for zero stars that’s what this place would be! I had to suffer 12 days without AC in plain SUMMER time. Couldn’t brake the lease because I was trying to buy a home and didn’t want anything messing up my credit in any way. Kathy the manager has no compassion I had to contact corporate in order to get the AC fixed because Kathy was too busy in meetings to do it! They took off a few bucks from my rent but once I moved out they sent me a bill to replace the apartments carpet when the carpet was not bad at all!! I guess trying to get back the money took off my rent. To make things worse they didn’t even let me know they just sent it to collections! I just moved out 3 weeks ago, how is it already in collections!!!!! Marci her assistant is so ignorant it’s to much to even go in on that. They do not care about anyones safety there! My upstairs neighbor was on drugs one day randomly threaten me with a chair over the balcony while my 5 year old son was with me. I couldn’t go back till 3 hours later that my husband was home because I was scared. When I called the office to let them know they couldn’t do anything about it. I tried telling them over and over they didn’t care until he was evicted then came back broke into his apt stole their appliances and then they cared and tried questioning me about him. Constantly smells like weed everywhere. The pool is disgusting. I would never recommend this place to anyone! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!

The location, the staff and the overall appearance is awesome.

Very nice community, comfortable, well organized and the management is always on top of their game.

The upgraded Apts are nice but unfortunately I can'??t afford one.

The vibe was amazing, and I felt welcome from the moment I walked in the door.

My apartment experience wad my first and I have enjoyed my time here.

It seemed to be a family oriented community which we loved.

Very fast response for water leak, quite a treat in comparison to other apt

I honestly feel the office people sincerely like their jobs and the residents with whom they interact. They're as friendly after the leases are signed as they were before. I've had more contact with Ms.Stamos than others, and feel she's an outstanding representative of Rustic, and a genuinely nice person.

I love the location and the renevated apartments looks awesome!

So many people today want new everything. Some of my family thought less of my choice cuz of this.

For the most part it is quite and good neighborly community.

I really love how spacious and open the layout of the apartment is and has plenty of storage. The dog park is incredibly convenient for me to take my pup out to potty, only thing I'd say I dislike is having to pick up after other careless owners dog poop. The complex is relativly quiet and clean which is all anyone could ask for. Ive recommended this complex to a couple others already, I'm more than pleased with the Rustic.

I would recommend because this is a safe community with access to differents shops and both hwy 75 and 121. Management is friendly and provides positive experiences regarding to meet the needs of their residents.

I love the building i live in, had i been placed elsewhere, i dont think i would like it quite as much.

Rat problems primary constraint here. I don't mind the little guys scurying outside (and poison poses a risk to our dogs) but I know some of my friends would not be open to it

I have lived here for 2 years now and have been very happy with the apartment itself and the dog park down below me. I don't have a dog but being an animal lover, I like the fact I'm able to see all of the other dogs in the complex enjoy the nice park downstairs. It has been an overall great experience here at the rustic

Love the updates, the apartments are very nice. Only complaint is that our apartment constantly smells like smoke due to smoking neighbors. They should have non-smoking buildings.

What a terrible place to live. I presently live here. Things are old and break easily. They respond to the bad reviews online with such care and respect, but there is no decency for those who are already locked into a lease.

My wife and I moved into the Rustic in October, 2017. Though the initial deposits seemed to be a bit on the high side, once we got past that, everything else has been great. Marci from the rental office is clearly an expert in her field. She’s extremely knowledgeable and professional. Easy to talk to and has a big heart. We haven’t had any major issues since moving in and the few minor inconveniences have been addressed and addressed quickly. The neighbors are great as well. Everybody seems so friendly. I think the biggest thing that surprised me about the rustic is just how quiet it is at night. For a complex of the size, you would expect it to be much more congested and noisy. But it’s not. Very nice sitting outside at night on the patio. If you’re looking for an apartment with high value and superb amenities, I would definitely recommend the rustic. Jim B. Actual and current tenant.

I love the location of our apartment!! We are just off Hwy 75 with plenty of dining and shopping centers blocks from the apartment. There is a large park across from us giving a peaceful atmosphere. The apartments have very large patios and beautiful trees for shade.The fireplace is a great accent to the large living area. The large pool and gym give us the ability to exercise and relax without leaving our home. I really enjoy how reasonable the lease is. We get a touch of the country in the big middle of the city at a price you can afford! K Addington
