The building has great character and clear signs of it's 100 year history yet you still get the new features and amenities of a brand new building. The staff is great too.

We love our 1 bedroom here at the Seneca. It is centrally located in downtown, but far enough down a private street that it ends up being a very quiet and safe area. It was a good building before the new management came. Endless renovation: everything looks ugly now. The elevator was painted about a month ago - it still stinks. Issues with utility bills. It’s absolutely useless to write to the new management’s email - there will be no concrete actions anyway. Only useless apologies and false promises

Fantastic place live, very quiet and renovations are making a huge difference in the community. The surrounding area is vibrant with the best shopping there can be! Finding a dinner location is not hard either, restaurants are everywhere.

The areas are clean and spacious, the lobby always has someone to take your packages and watch the security of the front door, it’s an extremely convenient location for downtown chicago while also being affordable.

Great building and staff. The buildings individual apartment homes are at best builder grade material billed at luxury monthly rates. Many maintenance issues are termed repaired instead of fixed. Overall, the building is located in a great location, is pet friendly, close to public transportation, and has a safe & secure feeling.

This is my third year living at the Seneca. The location is wonderful; about a five minute walk from the lake. The amenities in the Seneca are okay. A lot of the appliances in the units are outdated. There are likely better apartments in the area but what keeps me here are the wonderful front desk staff. Karen and Viktor in particular make this place a home. Karen has been working here since I moved in and I'm always moved by how familiar she is with every resident in our building and how attuned she is to my needs. Maintenance is usually quick to fix issues - which I appreciate. The building is a bit older and only having two elevators can be kind of frustrating and the laundry room often has several out of service machines. Overall the Seneca is a decent place to live.

I have been a resident for what will be 4 years in December and I truly love this place. Although I live in a studio thats a bit annoying at times I am considering this next year to upgrade to a 1 bedroom. Why you ask? Because its pretty affordable compared to what other's in the area are asking for. Also, love the renovations and upgrades the new management has in store for the building. Great neighbors, awesome gym, bike room, rec room is cool too. I truly truly love this place and hope to see myself here for a while. Also the Lake being 2 blocks away helps a lot. Its about the location which is an Old Chicago Uptown feel to it. This building is Iconic and keep the upgrades coming!
