Property Ratings at The Sixton
I was the first one to live in my unit and this will be my 3rd year living here! It’s the perfect location, located right off 169 and directly behind a Hy-vee. The management team are friendly and helpful. Roger, the maintenance guy, is hands down the BEST person at the Sixton. He always makes sure to wave at you and responds quickly to any maintenance issues. Generally, the building is pretty quiet, but I have had some noisey neighbors above and next to me. I have had to frequently remind them to watch their noise after quiet hours. It seems as though the insulation between apartment levels aren’t the greatest, as I can hear people walking around (but it is apartment living). The units are beautiful - especially the kitchen cabinets and tile backsplash. I have had a wonderful time here - just a little sad that the rent prices have dramatically increased and I might not be able to renew my lease for a 4th year. The rent prices do reflect what you get with the units though. The game room (which has a N-64) is amazing. The sky deck has beautiful string lights with an awesome electric fire pit. The workout room is slightly small, but there is a yoga studio. I love living here!!!
Property Manager at The Sixton, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for shining light on your favorite parts of our community! We hope to see you stick around for a fourth year of residency.
If you look at the building and apartment on their own, they both look great. The amenities are amazing, the building is new, and the location is very nice for Twin Cities commuters. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the community. You would never know that there is a statewide mask mandate that applies to this building because it has never been enforced. As far as I can tell, there are only a handful of people who ever wear masks, and the community on the whole is very anti-mask. The office is also now holding mask-optional indoor events for the building, and I don't feel like my health is very safe in this building or that the community is all that neighborly or respectful.
