Review Living at The Social has been wonderful so far. Food has been great, roommates are great. The only thing I would critique is getting water is not the easiest thing. I wish there was a water fountain to fill up bottles or if the sinks were a bit more powerful. I also would like it if the dining room was open all day so people could grab drinks or stuff from the cereal/ cookie bar. Outside of those things, it has been a blast.

Almost all Good Everyone was polite, positive . The process was simple and smooth enough. The issue is Wi-Fi my daughter a freshman this year has been there since August 15th. She still has to access her link which is crucial still hasn’t been delivered.

Love living here. Walking distance from everything. The bus that takes you to and from campus is what I like most about living at the social. I've been living here since I was a freshman. I moved from the doorms to the cottages my senior year.

This was by far the worst place I’ve ever lived. There were so many issues when I first moved. So much misinformation was being told to me. It’s a fair price, but personally I did not think it was worth it. We were also blamed for animal scratches on the furnished furniture when none of us owned an animal. Thankfully we took a picture of the furniture when we moved in and I suggest everyone who moves in does this too incase they try to scam you.

I absolutely love staying at the Social Chico apartment! The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance to downtown . The apartment itself is spacious, modern, and always clean. The amenities, like the gym and pool, are a great bonus. The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

I been living here for over a year and half the place is great but the work order for maintenance does take a while to fix. The apartment are very spacious and the amenities are good but would recommend a filter to the water.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Very convenient to have the food court, gym, and pool. Food court didn't always have the healthiest and most enticing options though. Got my locked up bike stolen from there too, even though they claim to have a night security patrol. Saw many cars broken into too, one of my neighbor's cars was stolen from there.

I think the maintenance staff are great and so are the amenities offered. I wish the building/rooms were in better condition, as my room (before i moved in) had the renters special of just painting over things. There are cracks and the floor was permanently stained. Other than that I have been enjoying my experience at the Social.

The apartment wasn’t great but the staff was nice. I wouldn’t live there again though, felt like I was paying for a non ventilated shoebox. And it got so hot and cold in there too.

It was pretty good overall. I wish there was a hot tub especially for the price. I loved the activity ideas and the game room. The staff are all super nice and very helpful. <3

The actual living is alright but the meal service is terrible. They keep switching meal times for dinner and they no longer have breakfast. It just seems to get more and more absurd every day here

The staff is very friendly, and the gym is pretty new with plenty of equipment for all your needs. The food isn’t exactly on the same level. The options are high in sodium and fat. The water is also very hard, so you will definitely need to buy a Brita filter. Be careful because the water will also fade your clothing and leave streaks while ironing.

Our daughter lives in the dorms and enjoys the gym, onsite Starbucks, pool, and the dining hall (that has good food!) they have community kitchens in the dorms and private bathrooms you cannot get in on-campus housing. The rent is very reasonable for all you receive!
They aren’t there to make sure you have a great college experience, they will just try to take advantage of your money.

I lived at the Craig freshman year and the associated apprtements the year after. The staff there was very helpful and I enjoyed my time there. RA Cameron was friendly and made me feel that the staff their truly cared about their residents.

I just moved into the social for my first year at Chico state since they ran out of on campus housing options. I’m so glad I made this choice. One of my favorite things about living here is the friendly and welcoming environment created by the RAs and cafeteria and cleaning employees. The people in the cafeteria are always saying good morning and smiling and will have a conversation with you. They seem genuinely happy to be there. The food is great also with many options. The maintenance crew as well, always asking how everything is. I wish I could compliment everyone who has gone the extra mile by name but I haven’t learned them all yet. RAs Andrew, Leah, Cameron, and Jason have been extremely kind and helpful. Security guard Barry is also a very friendly guy that will have a great conversation with you. Again the cafeteria employees are extremely friendly but I haven’t learned their names yet. Overall great staff. Love it here.

The Social Chico tries to draw you in with their tour in showing you all the great things about the dorms but, in reality once you are actually here for the stay its the slightest bit of great. Some of the workers are hostile and the food is pretty bad and the menu doesn’t get switched up in the dining hall ever besides the “specials” which half the time are chicken nuggets or a chicken sandwich. Would not recommend this place due to the environment for how much you pay.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are very sorry to hear your experience has not been positive. We strive to offer excellent customer service and never want to hear that our residents or guests have experienced a hostile environment. We would love the opportunity to address your concerns so we can find out what happened and make sure a similar situation does not occur moving forward. We will also forward your notes to the dining hall team. Although some fan favorites like burgers, quesadillas, and nuggets will always be a part of the menu (we'd have a mutiny if we got rid of them!), we will ask them to check everything out to fix any unnecessary redundancy!
Craig Student Living appears great (clean rooms, fun activities, nice grounds) but once you move in the living expirance becomes abismle. The leasing office makes many mistakes and is hostile twords most of the residents. The mail room is consistently not open (mail has to be handed to you by an employee) and has even lost packages. I had a pakage lost for 6 weeks in the mail room. The ACs in the rooms do not work. I live on the third floor so in the hotter mounths it can become to hot. If you receive a resident fine they will not inform you, you just have to find out yourself. The price for the rooms is comparable to two and some three bedroom apartments . The only positive I have found here is the staff in the cafeteria; they have wonderful customer service. I asked the head chef about nutritional facts on something that wasn't labeled he instantly lept into action to find the nutritional facts for me. If the rest of the employees where as good as this man this place would be great but unfortunately I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
I lived and worked as an RA at Craig and it was a wonderful place to live. Friendly staff and good food, plus a pool and gym make this one of the best, if not the best, place I stayed at in Chico during my college years. Pros: -Great amenities -Good service -Transportation to Chico campus Cons: -No accommodation for travel for Butte students -Movie rental service has more out of date movies than recent ones
