Chula Vista, Spanish for “beautiful view," is one of San Diego’s largest communities. Situated halfway between Downtown San Diego and Mexico’s border, North Chula Vista boasts a diverse community with a rich culture. The area has a mix of older homes on the west side and modern developments to the east. Surrounded by the San Diego Bay and the foothills of the Jamul and San Ysidro Mountains, Chula Vista offers abundant natural beauty.
The city has a small but thriving business district, though the main economic stimulus for the area stems from tourism. North Chula Vista continues to attract renters seeking the year-round good weather, panoramic views, and proximity to several points of interest.

Property Ratings at The Somerset Apartments
Had a horrible experience living here for 6 years and Eric Sutton who owns the property refuses to provide mantainence even after living here for so long things will tend to wear but instead you will be charged for any maintenance you request.
I lived in these apartments for 2 years and it wasn't a great experience. The management always tried to blame me for cigarettes being everywhere even though I threw all mine in a trash can in front of my house. I had 4 different neighbors move in next to me and they were always crazy, having the cops come on numerous occasions. None of the second story patios were up to code(some have been fixed). I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but if you in a jam and you need a spot then good luck!
My apartment is amazing, yes its a bit cozy but it works. I love the privacy. I enjoy the new windows becuase they are sound proof so i can blast my music and not bother any one. I currently live with my parents in this 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment but it feels like a small house. For us being in the first floor it feels like a little house. The rooms are spacious and cool and warm when they have to be. The kitchen is cozy but it does a great job, especially the oven. Also the fridge is very spacious and works wonderful, never worry if it s too cold or not cold enough. This is a greqt home for anyone just starting out and or looking for a good area to live.
