Great apartment and price, quiet community, and great amenities
The management closed their doors and sent out an email notifying everyone the office is indefinitely closed. That was around four months ago, and they still have yet to send a follow up acknowledging their leasing office is actually open. They do however send NoReply emails regarding the water being shut off daily, and warnings that if you do not bring your valet trash inside after their service no-shows they will charge you. On top of this, a few months ago they “lost” one of the Apartment trash compactors, so the other one has been overflowing with mismanaged garbage- and they have the audacity to comb through it and charge anyone who left trash near the filled dumpster $100 per bag. This place is an outright scam and has changed their name/management multiple times to seemingly reset their website ratings. Avoid it at all costs, a lack of commute is not worth living here. 1/5, putting 2 in case they filter “one stars” out.
With almost every issue we've had we've been beyond patient with this company. Water leaked on and off in our apartment in both the livingroom and our office for over a month before we demanded to speak to management (emails and phone calls are hardly answered), and we were told we were rude and impatient for doing so. We had a broken fridge for 4 months, but when we address it in person and are clearly upset about it (a couple hundred dollars lost in groceries to a broken fridge would upset you too) again we are called rude and impatient. We asked for pest control and for 6 weeks didn't get it until I showed up in the office and watched them write our apartment number down on the list for the following week. This management team will lie to your face but then call you rude for pointing it out. If you want anything done, you have to be at the office upset before they care at all, and by that point they're just trying to save their own butts from their own negligence. Having water leaking in apartment for over a month before becoming upset with them is hardly impatient. And believe me, water is the most common issue here. Almost every one of my neighbors has dealt with water leaking in their apartment at some point. I've come to expect the water getting shut off to the property for full days with little to no warning, and boil water policy has just become the regular policy at this point.
I get that it’s a pandemic but it’s VERY hard to get in touch with the staff! You can’t contact them through phone. They hardly never answer their emails. You have to be lucky to get a reply. You have to bang the office door for them to help you. It’s almost as if they are using Covid as an excuse to do nothing. I complained for months of an actually beehive being in front of my door! And they never assisted! This place is not worth it! I’m delighted to be moving out!
They neglect all your needs and hide inside office, your place probably got flooded and they threw som drywall mud over it painted it and called it a day. So good luck i’d give them 0 stars if I could.
Disgusting to sum it up. No parking, maintanrnce doesnt even acknowledge work orders let alone fix anything. Moldy smell. Constant water leaks in apt. Kids constantly. Fights in parkong lot. Trash everywhere. Lets not even talk about the office! Nasty- dont communicate at all. When they do- very condescending. Can barely open windows. Lifting floors. Gym has been closed since march last year- but we get charged for amenities! Pissed off! Stay clear away from here. They sold the company right from undr us- dont even think that it is any better because its Not! Stay away!
The untimely nature of these work orders being done is making me heavily regret living at these apartments at all, especially when my A/C isnt working and they dont care enough to fix it in a timely manner or even come out to look at it same day, and as a result I have to temporarily live elsewhere while I wait for maintenance to finally be forced to fix my A/C.
Worst apartment complex I ever lived in, unfortunately we are stuck here for a little while longer, due to COVID 19.
They left my door wide open for several hours while I was at work all day long. Not just unlocked, wide open.
I had a terrible experience here and I’m not willing to even go back there because of it. I rented an apartment and the person who was in communication with me had a very big attitude. That was the start of it. But I brushed it off. We found me one that I liked. I was out of town so I was doing this all virtually. I got the apartment and then a few weeks later I moved my stuff down here to move in. When I got there everything was a disaster. Trash was everywhere. Nothing was maintained or taken care of. Trash in the grass. On the sidewalks. In the door areas. It was so gross. Not to mention people’s balconies were cluttered with things. It did not look presentable at all. People were grouped next to the picnic tables listening to loud loud music. It was a place that you see and just turn around and walk out because you don’t want apart of it. I told management and gave them my keys back. They told me that they had to talk to higher up to see what could be done. My keys were turned back in within an hour of me getting them. They kept my keys for three more days. I had to find a hotel for me. And a storage unit for my things. And become in a huge rush to try to find a place to live because my plan was that place. It was a mess. After the three days management reaches out and says they can’t refund my money. Super super disappointed. And I want to save anybody and everybody from experiencing what I had to experience. Do not rent here. It is not what the website and pictures make it out to be. It is HORRIBLE!!!!!!
This place was disgusting. Trash EVERYWHERE. I was moving from Iowa to Florida, and I got approved and they wanted me to move in in 3 days from my approval, but I had to load my car and drive down (25hr drive) . I emailed and asked if I could pick up my keys a week later, Kelsey was very rude emailing back as if it were a huge hassle redoing the contract. I get down there and get my keys give them deposit and all paperwork done. The office area was very nice. Walking to my apartment throughout outside there is trash everywhere. There was a huge nasty clump of hair sitting on the steps, Cigarettes' butts everywhere. I walk into the apartment and it smells HORRIBLE. It was a musty, wet carpet smell. I had family waiting to help me move in, and as I was in the office talking they were talking with people living there asking how they liked it. They stated that maintenance is horrible. They knock on your door and if you don't answer right then they leave and don't come back for a month or so. And They stated that trash pick up is very far and few between (which i could clearly see). After opening the door, I immediately went back to the office and gave them my keys and said I couldn't live there. The lady stated she had to get with her manager the following Monday. The manager stated that since the lease was signed she would not give me back my deposit or my first months rent. I am currently renting a storage unit, and a hotel. I would rather pay extra money then live there.. IT WAS TERRIBLE!!!! They are rude and a joke! I couldn't believe the customer service that they had.
Overall, its a very spacious and decent apartment for the price. I have the biggest closet Ive ever seen in real life. The grounds are clean and well lit, I feel safe here. The office staff is responsive. Its an older community and the apartment isnt in as good of condition as some newer complexes (think chipped paint, pot holes, cracks under windows and near sliding door, etc) but nothing unbearable.
The outside maintenance has been going steadily downhill since I've lived here.the railings on the stairs were supposed to be replaced a year ago. The landscaping that was done a year ago is not being maintained. They dug a trench as phase 1 of fixing a leak and that's as far as it got. Yes please use these comments for marketing purposes so others can know before they even think about moving here that this place is on the decline
I am completely unsatisfied
I am very pleased with my experience here so far. The staff has been great; they have been very helpful and friendly in every interaction that I have had with them. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking for a nice place to live.
Not really happy and I only been here for 3 months
Maintenance in improving! Finally a team who cares.
they treat you as if instead of renting a service you were asking for a favor or a gift
I love living at the standard, I always drive by other apartment complexes wherever I am going and think mine is just so much prettier than all the others. Mine is not updated on the inside but I never cared about that. I live having carpet and I think the complex is beautiful. I love the color of the buildings, the size of the patios and the landscaping is gorgeous. Im obsessed with it. I love how close I am to the amenities, I truly love my apartment.
I have tried emailing as well calling to get more info about this property and not a single email or call back! This was one of my top choices and its sad that nobody can respond!!!!
We lived at The Standard for 1 year. Kevin was our main contact in the office. He was very professional and has outstanding customer service skills. Please consider him for a Property Manager position in the near future. The maintenance staff was very responsive, professional and skilled at their job duties. The only improvement would be a consistent Property Manager. I believe there were 2 or 3 in the year I was there. However in their defense, when I called, the Property Manager always returned my call. We are only moving because we were able to buy a condo. The last thing I wanted to mention is the neighbors watch out for each other and the property is very safe, even at night.
All updates and upgrades or me to the front of the apartments or around the office. I live in the back where the road also known as the parking lot is completely falling apart with no lines in the parking spots my car has been hit by other cars multiple times because of this. Its dirty and for the price, I cant wait to move out
Friendly community and clean!
I cannot say that the Standard is not a place to rest your head, it's just not a place to call home. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything on all sides on the apartment, especially upstairs. The parking is not the best and they feel that mold issues are for the tenant's to deal with.
A great community with very responsive and friendly management.
The community looks great, in a very centralized area.
It is still early for me to give a full review of the property, but I am cautiously optimistic. The grounds are beautiful, the apartment is a good size, and the price is good for the size. My only issue thus far has been with maintenance - I need several things fixed and have needed them for a while.
Over priced
I move here and I’m super happy for my decision. The staff is great, every single person in there from the leasing center to the maintenance crew. The apartment is a little bit old but good for the price. Quiet place and peaceful. Kevin is exceptional he make my experience super pleasant and easy to move. Thank you guys and keep up the good work
First, there’s mold in the apartments covered by paint, so if you’re allergic, you’ll be sick constantly. Second, smells like dog poop. I also have fleas in my apartment and I don’t even have an animal. Third: although the maintenance people are really nice, they tape and paint things to fix it, that makes me assume that they don’t give their maintenance guys the proper tools or pay to fix anything the right way. The only good reviews are from employees. Don’t waste your money, there’s so many other complexes in the area that are way nicer.
Absolutely horrible place. Only 1 nice staff member in the office. Maintenance is a complete joke. We've had 5 water leaks in 3 months. A few have been serious and they refuse to do anything about it. I'm sure there is tons of mold behind the walls and in the ceiling. No updated wiring or plumbing. The walls are so thin I can hear the upstairs neighbors phone vibrate when it's on a hard surface and every step they take. It's horrible.
It looks nice in the pictures and even when you're looking in the units, but after a couple of days you start to notice that the grounds are infested with fleas, there are cockroaches in all of the apartments and no matter what you do they wander around all over everything! The main office is completely useless, we've given verbal complaints at least twice a week for three months now and nothing has been done. The only good part about this place is that the maintenance people are extremely friendly. Be smart and find a better place, don't make my mistake.
This neighborhood is gross, the buildings are old and not maintained very well; they neighborhood randomly cuts off access to water and electricity, and they never know if it will actualy happen or when it will be restored. Management never answer the phones, they are rude, and take too long to repair anything. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST
They never answer their phone, terrible leasing service. Maintenance ppl just walks into your apartment and don't even know what they are there for. One time, i was home, they just came in and said "is your dishwasher broken", what the heck! The leasing office does not reply back to you on phone, tried to call them multiple times. Multiple times of blackout happens randomly, at least 3 times I can remember. Regret signing the lease here. I would give it a 0 star if I can, their management team needs to read this and really take this leasing business serious! They probably have so many things that is outdated, when you walk in the apartment the whole floor shakes!
This is the truth they won’t tell.. they have a bad drainage system and pray that it never rain or you will find your cars flooding and they don’t care about it, they will deny it’s their fault. There rats and bed bugs also around, don’t be fooled by the nice pictures they have on there it’s fake, they don’t keep up to the maintenance of the apartment, and when work order is put in, be expecting about 3-4weeks before someone shows up to fix it and even after it’s fix, it won’t be a week before that same problem comes back again. There are some people who rented this place and did not even stay or live there three months and have to move out. Another serious issue is pet poop all over the apartment complex and nothing has been done about it. Very very bad administration and community. ** Don’t come here and regret later**
This is the first apartment I've moved into since leaving my moms (i'm 25, not a small child) , so it's been extremely difficult being super excited for independence through these THIN walls. Been here for 7 months and everytime it rains I can fill up a pot by the window and it will fill during legitimate downpour. In additon to that issue, contacting the office about ANY issue take 3 phone calls and 9 business days.. based on my own experience. We've had a broken window (probably a robbery attempt) and after 2 emails and walking down there personally - in the span of two weeks the problem was finally resolved. Also you can't choose your neighbours and i'm thoroughly sketched out when I have to walk my dog at night. Dog poop is not enforced to pick up so the grass has poop on every 2 inches. I see the police in here about 4 times a week. And don't think about having the tv on 1/4th of the way after 11. It won't happen to everyone obviously but our neighbor constantly hollers about it and I PROMISE you when we go outside with them to hear you have to stick your ear to the door and close the other ear, the walls are thinner than thin. I really want to keep going but I'll just add our renovated apartment has a new kitchen, carpet, backsplash in the kitchen, and the grossest full bath I've ever seen. WILL NOT RECCOMEND SEARCHING FOR NEW PLACES AS WE SPEAK
I recently found Madison Place on Apartments.com and applied online. Though in the beginning it was very difficult to get a hold of the leasing office by phone, eventually after I sent my email inquiring about my status. One of the leasing agent, Kevin reached out to me immediately. He walked me through the steps and requirements of the application phase. I have a very short turn time to get the apartment and Kevin is definitely very patient with me and responding to me right away to let me know what is going on. I look forward to living at Madison and hope to have a beautiful home. Overall, I definitely recommend Madison Place and hope my fellow neighbors are just as respectful.
Worst place ever. Roaches, fleas, bed bugs. Plus they will tow your vehicle away if you don't have a sticker. Service is none existent. There are hookers living in the buildings soliciting services. Dog feces every where. The management does not care. -15
Today i went to check this place out with my friend inquiring about a one bedroom. The staff ALONE made me not want anything to do with this place. SO incredibly rude and her snobby attitude was completely unnecessary. How she has a job there I don't even know. Speaks a lot about this place. We even had a resident tell us not to waste our time. Little did they know I had big intentions of renting a three bedroom with my friends from out of state! We will be taking our money elsewhere!!
i have been living with madison place for 2 years and one flaw was that the kids outside are very loud at night and don't pick up after themselves at the playground and the court. i am currently moving because the people who live above me is very loud because they have some kids who jump around and cry all day and night. not only that but the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything that they are doing.the office staff is very helpful when i need to print stuff they print it out for you but i haven't gone there often enough to know if they are rude or not because a lot of people say they are rude but they were nice to me when i went there.the maintenance are good and for me they came by pretty fast depending on how minor your situation was such as if your toilet was clogged they get there that day to fix it or something like you have roaches and need an exterminator then they will get to you in a day or two. i hope this is useful for people and this is my honest opinion.
Don't let the pictures fool you. Apartments are not maintained. If you need work done, it can take up to two weeks for someone to look at the issue. They "fix" the issues but then same issue comes back. Only "nice" place in complex in near the office. The foundations have cracks, and property isn't kept clean. Very bad lighting at night. I didn't feel safe going outside after dark. There are drug deals in the parking lots day and night and staff won't do anything about it. People do not pick up after their dogs. Dog stations are not emptied not have bags on a regular basis.
The property is well kept, there is security on watch at night, with permit restricted parking (Pros and cons to that). Staff is helpful, and maintenance turn-time is great. Very convenient location. LOVE the laundry rooms! Dryers work like it should. I am pleased with my stay at Madison Place.
We moved here recently, and we enjoy the layout of the apartment, but it wasn't taken care of much by the complex over the years
Please don't move here. The staff is fake, the apartments have a lot of issues. It takes maintenance a long time to fix problems. Grounds aren't kept. The only nice area is near the leasing office. The lighting is poor at night. The inside of the apartments have cheap fixtures, however they charge too much for rent. I repeat, don't move here if at all possible! I only selected one star because it wouldn't allow this post without a star! HORRIBLE
Nice units are by the office(which is what they show). Shady units are in the back...Nice units, updated.
I love my apartment at Madison Place Luxury Apartments. The new management really takes good care of you. It is in a good location. The Apartments are very well kept.
I was working in VA and got a transfer from VA to FL. We had to search online for a apartment. We came across Madison Place in Clearwater, FL. So we checked them out online and liked what we saw. Then we gave them a call and WOW!! they were so nice and understanding what we where looking for and the price was great. But that's not all, our kids school was two blocks away and I am 10 min from work. 10 min from the beach and if we don't want to drive there is two clean pools and play ground for the kids. Oh did I mention that they have a dog area for our dog two. We are so happy with our apartment at Madison Place!!
Maddison apartments is ok, very friendly staff but has a lot of problems with units. Some apartments have roaches.. Wish we had a bigger place for my two little girls and our new baby girl due in November..
This apartment is the bare minimum of decent. I have a 2 bedroom/2 bath for $905. The base rent is $855, but there is a $50 charge for water and garbage monthly. My apartment is an upgraded module with wooden floors and white appliances and cabniets. I have twice been without hot water because of the hot water heater. Maintaince is pretty quick about the request. The first time they came by to fix the hot water heater, they did some sort of quick fix and I was out of hot water in a week. The second time they changed the tank. The apartment does not have a washer/dryer or washer/dryer connections, but lucky my apartment was near the laundry facility. The machines in the laundry facility uses debit/credit cards so no quarters!!! My biggest problem with this community is the trash. They have two compactors on site, but the trash is always built up. By Sunday afternoon they trash is piled up on the ground around the compactor. Happy Hunting!!
