Love it here! Just wish we had balconies. No carpet, pet friendly, and you can literally walk to TARGET!!! Quiet for the most part and great amenities!
It started cool but lately they’ve been a little lax when it comes to sanitation and upkeep. I enjoy staying here but i really need them to get it together in order to renew for another 12-15 months.
Nice place to live. And fun pool. the guy who works in the leasing office (I’m not sure if he’s the office manager) is also helpful and nice.
I have thoroughly enjoyed living here. We recently got neighbors and they are extremely noisy in the middle of the night and they no longer change the filter for ice and water on the fridge since getting new management, but overall my stay has been good.
Since there was a change of management the environment and community reduced. The apartment was great until management changed. The community spirit quickly declined, and maintenance became slower with poor communication. Disappointing.
10/10 experience living here so far. Only small thing they could tidy up on their cleaning on property. Pool also seems to be closed way often than normal
Someone just died in this neighborhood yesterday. It was on the news. Look it up before signing your lease. ALSO NO CAMERAS on property. Several cars have been broken into.
The property is well kept. The location is idea for easy commute. The property is safe. I have kids thats very important. The staff is always so welcoming.
I have been living here for 2 years +. The new management that took over for the past few months don't care about anything. They never use the portals to communicate to residents as before, the maintenance culture has degenerated and they keep increasing your bills anyhow. Can't wait to get out of here asap.
It’s a hit or miss place. Maintenance is good. Parking can get difficult. Gates are broken at least 2 weeks a month. Not the greatest from what it was but not the worse there is.
Prose Champions is a very quiet and calm community. Office staff is always willing to help and maintenance does a great job. The location is super convenient and I have never had issues with bugs here which is a huge plus here in houston. 10/10 community.
I love my homeeee! Everything so peaceful here. New management does exactly what they should be doing. I been here going on 2 years & I will be my last apartment home before moving to my house!
It’s been good so far. I recommend almost everyone to come check the complex out and possibly move in. The up keep of the property is really good
My experience here has became a nightmare the moment the name of the apartments change. The gates are never working , the complex is not well kept and the maintenance here now is horrible ! I no longer feel safe currently counting the days until I move .
I'm a local real estate expert, but when it came to downsizing, I used an apartment locator to find the perfect "temporary home" until I was ready to purchase again. The deal was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. The Standard was originally called Prose Champions and quickly got new management in early 2024, and did this change anything? Nope. Don't get me wrong, they have amazing floorplans and an "okay" rent price. But this has got to be the worst apartment atmosphere I've ever been a part of, and I moved to Houston in late 2012. Please, whatever you do, if you're unfamiliar with the area, talk to a local real estate expert, or do some good ole' fashion digging on your own. Think twice about putting your John Hancock on any piece of paper y'all!!
It’s been a OK experience the grill was down but they fixed it. The pool was dirty but they cleaned it so it’s been pretty good. Each experience is determined by the individual. The only thing I don’t like is the gate entrance is complicated. If you stay here, they need a clicker.!
It’s been more than 3 weeks without AC in my apartment now. We’ve been contacting everyone and still no action has been taken and when we called they say our 90 degree apartment is not an emergency. All these new reviews are fake, on the outside it looks nice because the previous management kept up with the property but it is quickly downhill. Dog poop everywhere and front office never answering phones. Please do not consider moving here it is not worth the price. Counting down the days until our lease is up.
Great location, awesome management, and love the amenities. Would recommend for pricing and haven’t had any issues, maintenance would always accommodate in a timely manner.
Since the new management came they have done nothing. Since the new management came the gate has been broken and they haven’t fixed it. They take so much time before attending to maintenance
I have enjoyed living in this community. It is very kid and pet friendly. The pool is typically busy with neighbors sharing food and music. The property is clean with the occasional exception of animal waste not being collected here and there. The office staff is nice and friendly as well.
The community here is great, the people are friendly and the area is nice. Staff is very helpful as well as maintenance being that the request are fixed quickly.
Do not move here! we’ve been under new management for about 1 month and the complex has made a complete 180!!! What used to be a nice, peaceful, CLEAN complex is now a ran down poorly kept property! I renewed my lease twice under the old management and under this new management I’m counting down the days till my lease is up! Trash is everywhere, gates are broken or left open at all times, tires get stolen, vehicles get scratched and damaged, dog poop is every where, trash and dog waste all in the hallways at all times. You can find much better for the same price!
The leasing staff, and most of the maintenance crew are friendly and professional. Any resident concerns, and maintenance requests are resolved in a timely manner. All units have wood floors, so as a 1st floor resident that has been an adjustment. The amenities they offer fit my lifestyle, so I’m looking forward to utilizing the gym, and taking a swim in the pool!

I love living here at prose champions it’s a very calm environment and there haven’t been any issues since I moved in.
Walls very thin! Back gate broken or off track a lot. Management is a 6/10 there were communication issues with front office staff. The assistant manager was a bit rude. We grew past that but I don’t see myself referring anyone to this apartments unfortunately.
Great maintenance staff, very efficient and proactive. I love my apartment.
Apartments are awesome and staff is even better just the whole issue of safety. I would not recommend anyone moving over here to this area.
The staff members were very helpful. They provided all the information regarding delivery service, valet trash, amenities etc. The apartments are located in an area convenient to 2-3 major highways. Also located near lots of places to shop!
