Once a bustling railroad town, Nampa has evolved into one of Idaho's growing commercial centers. The city's downtown and detached homes retain the original frontier feeling of a bygone era, creating a palpable sense of historic charm. The state capital lies just 20 miles east of the community, allowing Nampa residents to enjoy the peaceful feel of a rural town without sacrificing access to the amenities of a much larger city.
Residents are often drawn to Nampa for its affordable rentals, congenial atmosphere, and easy access to Idaho's plains and mountains. The community delights in a broad range of recreational activities at the expansive Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, which borders Nampa to the southwest. The popular Roaring Springs Water Park sits just a few miles east of town, offering plenty of water-based fun close to home. Interstate 84 connects Nampa to nearby Boise, Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, and more.

Property Ratings at The Station Apartments at Gateway
Everything is wonderful here at the station! I’ve been living here for about 3 years and have enjoyed my time here. The amenities are great and clean and the staff has been perfect for everything I’ve needed!

Thank you for your kind words. We are thrilled to have you as a resident and are glad that you have enjoyed your time here. We look forward to continuing to provide you with quality amenities and excellent service.
Where do I begin… The maintenance people are horrifically rude, and the office people are absent and extremely hard to get ahold of- unless they need something, then they are very available! The apartments are not worth the money and they will hit you with all kinds of surprise fees anytime you ask for anything. Come renewal time, they’re going to hike your rent beyond what I’m sure even Donald trump could afford, so good luck! They tried to justify the rent hike by offering some nice “upgrades”- which was a choice between 1 (one) usb outlet or a keypad lock for the front door. That definitely justified the 400/month rent hike! And also- don’t expect to get your deposit back upon move out, instead expect to pay twice what you originally paid in “fees.” Walls are super thin, which is tough for anyone who works from home. The “central” ac doesn’t work for crap and they have one garbage area for the whole complex. The noise in the area is awful as well, since cars are constantly speeding by and it makes it a really loud and obnoxious place to call home. Parking situation is also really terrible- some people have multiple cars which is definitely not allowed, but they only enforce the rules they want to enforce. Pool/hot tub is out of commission all the time, and grounds are a dump. Definitely worth it to spend your money somewhere else worthwhile, like maybe on a tent to live in on the side of the road since that would be a better value!

Hi there. Due to the anonymity of this review, we are unable to identify you as a resident. Please stop by our office so we properly can address these claims in the most efficient way possible. Thank you and we hope to hear from you promptly.
I don’t recommend living here. For the monthly cost of these apartments anytime you need something fixed they will try to charge you for it. Additionally I gave my notice on the first of the month not thinking about the fact there are only 28 days in February. They are now charging me a $500 fee because I did not give a full 30 day notice and I’m responsible for utilities the month of March which I won’t be here for. They did not do any kind of decrease or incentives considering they pretty much completely closed down amenities during covid. And when they pool is open it’s almost always packed and filthy because of how big the complex is. All in all not worth the money.

I moved into these apartments on October 2018 and been living here for about 10 months now. I absolutely loved living here! I did end up buying a house and did have to move out. I would move back in in a heart beat! My model was the Bridgeport and it was so very roomy and comfortable. I loved the breakfast bar and the overall flow of the apartment. If you're looking to move in these apartments, they are worth it! The internet is sooooo fast! And as far as noise I only heard my upstairs neighbor maybe twice my whole time being there. And never heard my side neighbor. It was great!
I lived at the station for just over two years. MOST of the time it was ok, but there are quite a few problems there that aren't being addressed, and haven't been for years. Firstly, if you think you're pricing yourselves away from idiots and bad neighbors, think again. We had one family in particular leave garbage bags hidden behind A/C units and even right under my son's window. They did absolutely nothing about this, as it continued to happen for over a year, right up until I moved out three weeks ago. This same family would double-park almost constantly. I made management aware, they did nothing about it because it continued. This same family filed false police report against my neighbor and had him kicked out, which I found very strange. The one who was forced to leave was never a problem, the ones allowed to stay were a constant problem. Funny how that works. I have seen the cops there at Building H and nearby about six times since I've lived there, over obnoxiously loud drunk people and even firefighters to put out a fire in their recycle bin, which they were completely unaware of when I asked about the following day. I had a family move in above me a few months ago that were so obnoxiously loud it woke my children and I past midnight on more than one occasion. I had spoken to the neighbors themselves face to face on five separate occasions. They claimed to understand and said they would stop, it never did. I made management aware of this on at least 7 other occasions, and it never stopped. What kind of apartment complex allows a family of five and two large Laborador Retrievers on any floor but the 1st? This is partially due to the incredibly poor construction of the place, too. There is very little insulation, especially between floors. I believe Building H in particular was probably insulated incorrectly and maybe even out of code. The amount of noise I heard from that family was beyond ridiculous. I also found plenty of garbage laying round the playground on a regular basis, including broken glass. At move out, things were still pretty stupid. Document EVERYTHING you find on your initial inspection, don't let them try to rush you or blow off anything you find either. They are currently trying to charge me for some things that were wrong with the place when I moved in to it. I'm pretty sure it'll go nowhere.
Avoid this place at all costs. Lived here for 12 months. Quality is far from the advertised 'luxury'. Amenities look nice on the surface, excellent 'hook'. In reality they are sub par for the price. They will have your appartment professionally cleaned NO MATTER WHAT so your security deposit is long gone from the get go. The maintenance team deserves recognition. They advertise a washer and dryer in each apartment but they dont mention they charge you. They advertise premier parking, they also charge for. They say pet friendly, they are so restrictive on pets that it's anything but 'friendly'. They have rentable storage shed but dont mention that you MUST park a vehicle in. The security company they contract is overzealous to say the LEAST in regards to ticketing and booting vehicles. This apartment complex is smoke and mirrors. Avoid unless they make much needed changes.
I visited the station looking for a one bedroom apartment, and I fell in love with it! It’s very nice, clean, and updated. On top of all of that the staff was super nice and helpful! 10/10
I rented at the Station for a year and had a very pleasant time living there the staff seemed very great... at the beginning. We had no problems when we were living there, no violations, no noise complaints, absolutely nothing. During the move out stage everything went very well, did everything we were asked. Almost after a month after moving out, we receive a bill for over 1400.00... everything from batteries needing replacing in the smoke detectors, ect... but the big one was the carpet in the entire apartment was replaced. Nothing was said to us during the move out process about maybe needing to replace the carpet, nothing... no phone call, email, just a bill sent to us. We did have pets in the apartments but the carpets were cleaned and during the pre-exit walk though, they said "everything looks great". I emailed the Station with questions and and asking why the carpet was replaced and they responded with saying the apartment smelled like urine. Knowing that yes, my pet did soil the carpet not more than 3 times I asked for proof and so they sent me pictures. One of the pictures they sent us the carpet was completely stained with urine, just a complete mess. Funny thing was, that wasn't our apartment! They sent us a picture from a completely different apartment! I lived in a three bedroom and they sent me a picture of a one bedroom. The other three pictures were of stains no bigger than your hand. Nothing that justified replacing an entire apartments carpet. Since I knew that wasn't our apartment, I confronted the Station staff about that and they told me the carpet company sent them the wrong picture. Long story short, after talking with the Station the bill was dropped 10%. Our two deposits were applied to the charges but the Pent Rent that they charge you everything month is NOT applied to anything. Meaning they are billing you for absolutely nothing. Don't really get why I was charged a Pet Rent fee if something like that is not what it can be used for. I had no problem staying at the Station, just after receiving this bill and having to go through all of this with absolutely no facts, or talking to them face to face was very difficult. Basically after you move out, they can charge whatever they want without you knowing about it and send you the bill.

We were surprised by your review as, after our last emails, we thought we had resolved your concerns for you. We went into detail about the move out process and charges (all of which are listed on your lease). It was re-confirmed that your carpet needed to be replaced despite one wrong photo being included in the bunch that we sent you. We provided a discount as an apology for the initial confusion that caused for you. You were certainly welcome to stop by the office if you preferred to talk in person with us about your concerns rather than by phone or email. If you have other concerns or questions, please contact us directly. – The Station Team
