Lyndhurst is a suburban township stretching between the Hudson River and the Hackensack River, just minutes due west of Manhattan. The easy access to New York City has made Lyndhurst a popular option for commuters, with NJ Transit rail service to Penn Station only being about a thirty-minute ride. The community’s rental market includes a broad variety of apartments, condos, and single-family homes, including numerous units in beautifully-preserved historic brick buildings.
Shops and restaurants are spread throughout the neighborhoods, making it easy to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat without having to drive. One of the townships’ most famous landmarks is the Lyndhurst Pastry Shop, known throughout the region as one of the best places to find traditional Italian cakes and pastries.

Property Ratings at The Station at Lyndhurst
I had a greeat tour. The people there showed the upmost respect and were very kind. They didn’t hesitate to answer my questions and overall made me feel very welcome. The building itself was actually quite nice to be 8 years old.
It’s a fine establishment the staff are lovely and attentive to the needs of the residents. The building also has some history to it.
I’ve been living in this building for some time now, and unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing. Firstly, the cleanliness of the property leaves much to be desired. Hallways go months without being vacuumed, and the elevators are visibly neglected. The one near the garage looks like a dump, and overall maintenance seems lacking. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the property management to improve their responsiveness and take better care of the building’s cleanliness.
DO NOT CONSIDER! Management is extremely money hungry with absolutely no regard for residents. Rent goes up over $200 every year for all residents. Parking is a disaster due to parking spots being $135 a month indoors, $65 a month outdoors. No visitor spots available since they are full from residents who will not pay for the overpriced parking. Trash rooms are filthy, management is rude, neighbors are for the most part extremely unsatisfied. Will be moving out as soon as possible. DO NOT CONSIDER
Smells like weed all the time, the office staff are just there to complain to the residents without resolving any issues. Just bad.
Disorganized and bad office staff, they charge for everything and office staff always complaining on emails about tenants.
UPDATE: Since this original review was written, I have asked that maintenance not enter my apartment when I am not home, but they did anyway. I also had two emails sent out regarding rent that went unanswered. Because of the inability of office staff to answer simple emails, I stopped to the office in person, was told rent was paid and on time. The following day, the same person I spoke to tells me there is $150 charge for returned check and late rent. The incompetence and lack of respect is unbelievable. UPDATE 2: dogs not allowed in elevators without muzzle.. so if you have an elderly dog with joint problems they are forced to take stairs. If you have a dog with breathing issues they must be muzzled. How dare they advertise pet friendly. My old man struggled up the stairs this weekend. And he is half pug so doesn’t breath well to be taking stairs all summer or being muzzled. They think in stairwells a bite is at no risk? I have a feeling this liability precaution is because of their own negligence not enforcing the breed restriction.
Do not live here. There are far better managed places else where. They charge an annual amenities fee for almost no amenities and close them without cause. The management makes up arbitrary rules on a whim and then threaten tenants with arbitrary fees not included in the lease. There is a cat lady who fees stray cats and they poop all over your car. Management does nothing to address this. There is a drunk on the north side of the complex who harassed people none stop. The entire complex smells like a Cyprus hill concert with excessive Marijuana use taking place everywhere. Multiple cars have been broken into/ stolen while living here. Last and not least, even if they say they will uphold something, they will recant if it is not in explicit writing. I have had my parking spot here as part of my deal since I moved in three years ago. I recently saved up enough money to purchase a house, and informed management that I would be moving out at the end of my lease. Just recently I received an email stating that because my lease did not have wording for a parking spot that I must move my vehicle or it will be tower. Now granted I have lived here for 3 years with that spot with no issues. The management is petty. Maintenance is cool, but often times is side swiped by management to avoid repairs. Avoid this apartment building, as well as the Winston at all costs. The management here used to be competent. They have lost that ability.
This apartment complex is horrible to live in. The walls and floor are so paper thin that you can hear the neighbors sneeze. The stairs are always dirty. The balcony was never cleaned when we moved in. The “central air” is so noisy you cant even hear the Tv. The leasing office is never available to speak about issues we are having. Then on top of all of that, you can never have visitors over at 5pm or any time because there is never parking outside. If they do park anywhere with other vehicles that are on the premises their car gets towed with no warning. You can never contact the office by phone but they always have somebody watching to make their money towing cars. Fair warning do not move-in to this building. Management is horrible, everything has a fee, rent gets raised more than 20% after first year, garage parking is not included. The gym is tiny and the machines are outdated. The outdoor grill area always smells like dog urine. They give out free stuff for fake good reviews.
I have been living here for over six years and I absolutely love it! The staff are very friendly, big shout out or Casey who is always very helpful and E as well! The property is always clean. The neighbors are friendly as well! The gym and lounge is awesome! The doggies are the best in this building. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. My experience here has been awesome! Thank guys!
I never write reviews but i feel its necessary. Let’s start by saying I have nothing but praise for the property Casey. He has made my transition here seamless. Anything I needed he was on top of it. Maintenance staff is professional and always pleasant. They even waxed the hardwood floors before i moved in. Last but not least the residents I have met so far have all been pleasant. Love the indoor parking as well. Chad
An expensive Ok option for the short term but not a comfortable place to call home in my experience. When you tour an apartment be sure to have them turn on the heat or air conditioning so you can hear how loud the HVAC system in the closet is - it will wake you up all night and you will not be able to hear you TV in the living room. I would not be surprised to learn that the decibels exceed a healthy level but not sure. SECONDLY, there are loud late night parties and an occasional dose of vomit in the parking lot. THIRD, the physical property itself is very unfriendly, there are no good outside areas for adults or especially kids to play and no such areas in close proximity to the building. THIRD, the building is embedded in a warehouse district with plenty of loud large trucks passing by 24-7. If you are a light sleeper you might hate this place. Pros - convenient to NYC if you need that, and also some very nice people that live there.
Don't be fooled. No shuttle service. False advertisement.

We're sorry to see this review. Please contact our office so that we might get some more information on your situation and rectify any issues immediately. Thank you.
Residents have to pay $125 per month to park outside in the middle of the Meadow Lands?????? Really? Like space is a premium in a swamp?
Recently the Station at Lyndhurst became a Petrucci Residence and many good changes occurred due to the property manager Esther Quintero. She is a spectacular manager with great people skills, dedication to the renters and to making the property a vibrant community. She is helpful and available. We have lived here for three years and highly recommend this apartment residence. Mary C and Bill W.
