Nestled just seven miles west of Downtown Nashville, Hillwood is a desirable neighborhood with a country-club feel. In fact, the Hillwood Country Club takes up a large portion of the neighborhood and reflects the finer things offered in the area. An upscale community, Hillwood stands as a reprieve for its residents from the hustle and bustle of Nashville, while still offering the proximity to everything Music City has to offer.
With access to Highways 70 and 705, as well as Interstate 40, commuting is a breeze. Families flock to this neighborhood for its wonderful amenities such as excellent schools, community parks, and a variety of restaurants, markets, and retailers in the Nashville West Shopping Center. Take a stroll through H.G. Hill Park or take a quick drive into Downtown to visit popular spots like the Parthenon, Music City Center, Bridgestone Arena, or the Ryman Auditorium.

Property Ratings at The Still I & II
The management is horrible. Everyone in the office is rude and heartless. The grounds are not taken care of. Well, there is dog waste everywhere, and from that, flies are all over. The pool is not taken care of and is closed most of the time for repairs. The AC in the complex doesn't work, and they can't seem to get them to work. They answer that it is as cold as they will get. They tow cars even if they belong to the tenant. Please, this is a nightmare of a place, and again, the staff are heartless and rude. This complex is poorly maintained, and at one time, the gym was even vandalized.
I have lived in this apartment for almost three years, and dealing with the management has always been challenging. They are difficult to reach, do not keep their commitment to communicating, and are very defensive in their approach. Also, be prepared to encounter bugs in the apartment despite paying for bug control services. I have always had issues with spiders and insects, which is frustrating. The units have also been remodeled, but the craftsmanship could be better. I lived on the lower level, and the floor above is very squeaky. You get what you pay for.
Despite being a resident with a valid tag and parking pass, they decided to tow my vehicle. It was parked in a spot all residents have been parking in for months. This complex does NOT have enough spots. The leasing office told me the towing company makes the decision on who gets towed, but the towing company told me that's not correct and that they cannot tow a vehicle unless on property signs for it. The leasing office refused reimbursement and offered no follow up as to how to address the lack of parking spaces. DO NOT LIVE HERE it's cheap but you get what you pay for I suppose.
Prices are fair for the area. Location is great. Property is well maintained. Maintenance is quick & office staff is very helpful. Best place I have lived so far.
My puppy and I live at The Still II and love it here. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. office staff makes sure us a residents are taken care of and property looks great. These are older building but the upkeep and Maintenance on them are good. Pricing is very affordable for Nashville. The property does try to plan events like the one we to. The puppy pool day the property had and was shocked they even had this type of event. I have lived in nashville for 9 years and have never lived at a property that has had this type of event. Office staff works hard and are super sweet and should be able to enjoy fun events like these. We were very appreciative. Thank you for all of the staffs great work for taking care of us residents the best you know how keep up the good work.
Office staff has always been helpful and polite. Maintenance is very quick to respond. Would highly recommend this property to my friends and family.
You use to get what you pay for as a renter here (decent price, great location, very poor maintenance, falling apart buildings, spiders, etc). The cons finally outweigh the price. It shouldn’t take 8 months to fix a dry rotted door, which is a safety issue. It shouldn’t take multiple follow ups to get an AC fixed. This property just changed names from Views of the Cumberland, but it’s the same management team who gets rude without provocation and the same maintenance team that doesn’t get things done in a reasonable timeframe (or says they are going to do something and never do). Don’t live here, unless you just really like spiders lining all of your light fixtures. Due to price I’ve renewed multiple times, but I heavily regret it. Last renewal, management told me they were going to fix some issues for me so I’d renew. I fell for it, and many months later, STILL no progress. I have to wonder if that’s where the name originates. STILL the same.
Really need to be updated. Not worth what they’re asking for in rent. Definitely renting from elsewhere.
