I enjoy living here but there are things I would improve. My parking space is two building away from where I live which does not make any sense and is EXTREMELY inconvenient for bringing things in from/out to my car. The leasing process was quiet confusing and my lease was issued with mistakes several times. People using the pool/spa are often loud, rude, drunk, or all three. Rules do not seem to be enforced at the pool. I do enjoy the apartment and the amenities though.

The Strand was home from the moment I walked in and met Terri. He showed me all the amenities, walked me through the apartment neighborhood and was so welcoming. Everything is as listed as far as amenities and the hot tub is the hottest around. I've met so many people at the pool and we still check in on each other every now and again.

Moved in earlier this week and happy with my decision. Despite being close to downtown and the freeways, you still have just enough buffer distance where you get to drive into a nicely secluded area with landscaping and trees when you come home. The unit is also well maintained with new appliances, cabinetry, and TONS of storage cabinets.

Been living at The Strand for most of this year and it's been a blast! Process was easy and Scott guided us through everything. My wife and I love living here, the amenities are great, maintenance staff is amazing, and leasing office always answers very quickly. One of our best apartment experiences we've ever had! We just moved in but this place is Quiet, clean, luxurious. Parking is normally so terrible and a hassle at other places but here is is never an issue even when there are guests. Front officer is quick and resourceful, couldn’t as for anything else

The strand has gone downhill since 2021. The units are the most spacious/best layout for the price in the area, but other than that it suck’s now. New management doesn’t care about anything but profit. If they make a mistake, you’ll have to go out of your way to fix it and email and call me multiple times yo almost no avail. The leasing agents are running the show alone and they really need managements support.

It’s been 2 weeks since we moved in and we are loving our decision to live at The Strand. We are enjoying using the amenities (gym), our apartment layout, nearby walking trails, and the quiet community. We also love that we are close by to stores and downtown Sacramento (about 10 minutes). Additionally, staff have all been amazing and maintenance is quick as well. We also enjoy the Strand promoting social gatherings and events out in the community. I’d highly recommend to anyone moving to the Sacramento area.

While maintenance is great, I had issues with my initial move-in. (No garbage dumpsters, insect infestation, etc.) These issues eventually got resolved but shouldn't have been issues for a property at the top of the cost bracket. Those issues aside, my overall experience here was good, I just cannot recommend it to others in good faith due to the cost not being competitive enough. The Strand the new Apartment. It's really nice from outside and also nice inside as well. The inside is very modern open living space is good. The master bedroom is good size second bedroom is size is not as big as master bedroom wish if it was the same size. The staff is really good both office and maintenance.

We just moved here from New York and we are very happy that we found The Strand as our new home. I did my tour virtually and Scott help me throughout the process. They were very prompt to answer all my questions. The apartment itself is very new, clean, safe and quiet. It is also a plus that 2 parking space is included on our monthly rent. Highly recommended.

Great place to live. Clean parking lot sand very well lit. Building stairs get dusty and dirty but is taken care of when front office is notified. Apartments are spacious and well thought out.

DO NOT RENT HERE. I would give 0 stars if it was possible. I lived in the Strand for a year and had to deal with a number of problems that were never solved for myself or other residents: - During the summer months, other tenants (or friends of those tenants) would blow off fireworks in the parking lot during weekday nights for weeks at a time. This was never really solved and happened sporadically. Car alarms and loud explosions would make it impossible to sleep even if you had the windows closed with the AC on. - The above point also plays in that Management was unable to enforce quiet hours after 10PM. Whether it was fireworks or extremely loud parties/gatherings at the pool/clubhouse area, noise was always an issue during my stay. - Using the amenities was impossible. The pool area and club house area were always full of heavily intoxicated people that would consistently harass myself and my wife by yelling obscenities at us whenever we were on walks with our Dog. These people always left the place filthy and damaged. I was not a witness to this, but feel the need to report it - I was told by other tenants that there was a gunshot incident close to the property There was a poisonous snake that went onto the property into the walkway of a building. Instead of management problem solving the situation, brave tenants captured the snake and called animal control by themselves I had 1 incident with car break-ins/ destruction Homeless people were constantly wandering the property making it very sketchy to take walks at night No one picks up after their pet. The construction in the back of the property was always noisy at a very early hour The shared billing costs are beyond ridiculous. The trash bill was always over $50 per month. Basically, you are paying for other people’s incompetence of how to use the trash bins We had 3 packages stolen off of our doorstep. Lastly, the move out charges were completely unfair. I was charged close to $1000 (even after the security deposit) due to “carpet replacement”. We had a pet but he was not allowed in the bedrooms. Overall, look at any other property in the area. This place is a waste of money.

Courtesy patrol is provided to deal with after hour complaints and the West Sacramento Police have been very responsive to issues that require law enforcement. Our residents are required and encouraged to look after their pets. We provide many pet waste stations with baggies to assist residents in the clean up after their pets in an effort to maintain a clean property for all. Construction of The Strand was completed Summer 2022 and West Sacramento continues to grow and improve with new projects throughout the City. We have found that the apartment homes are well insulated and noise is minimal during daytime hours. We are happy to discuss any charges to your security deposit. From the start, my fiancée and I were drawn to the Strand. It had everything we wanted - from an island, a spacious balcony, to a gym. The Strand has actually exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t sign the lease fast enough after seeing the beautiful floor plan, state-of-the-art amenities, and the quiet, convenient location. On top of that, the leasing staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. We only moved in about a month ago, but it’s been a great experience thus far.

The maintenance team is so incredibly responsive — in most communities where I’ve lived previously wait times can vary quite a bit but here I’ve never waited more than 24 hours for something to be addressed. Even very minor issues are always resolved first thing. I so appreciate the responsiveness and diligence of all the staff here.

As with any apartment complex located in a city, you'll get a range of people with a variety of priorities. Unfortunately you won't know what their values are (ie: silence) until you live near them for a period of time. If you want to move here, and prefer a quieter environment, I recommend requesting the East side.
