Don't move here
If you're looking for apartments that are "renovated" only aesthetically, management that doesn't care about lease terms, and typical old apartment problems, look no further than Chasen. The noise in my apartment is incredible—I might as well be on the sidewalk. I've lived here for four months and blinds have not been installed, meaning everyone from the street can see right into my apartment. We didn't have trash cans for a month, meaning tenants were forced to put trash bags on the street (now we have 3 tiny cans for 11 units). There are bugs... And they withdraw rent from my account on the wrong day of the month (counter to what it says in the lease). Worst of all, they won't even take the time for a phone call. So if you're looking for an over-priced old apartment run by people who don't seem to know what they're doing, check out Chasen
