Property Ratings at The Summit at MetroWest
Our first impression was excellent. Luis helped us during the whole application process and made it easier, he was extremely helpful, patient and nice! can’t wait to move!!!!
If I could give zero I would. Honestly I’m glad I’m gone from this place! Even moving out was an issue. How can I turn keys in when you leave early but don’t state a time you were leaving early. This property has gone down hill fast. I’m glad I’m gone! Unruly neighbors, trash everywhere maintenance is a joke. Too high rent for nothing.
New management company is terrible. Owners have been slowly letting property degrade for years, first removing instead of fixing the entrance gates and then the hot tub and racquetball court. New management company surprised people without bank accounts with a $45 fee to pay rent with a debit card (fortunately doesn't apply to me, but talk about no sympathy for poorer people scraping by to live here). The previous 3 management companies never replaced the undersized AC unit in our apartment, but would at least stay on property until it was fixed or outside repair arrived. This one wiped their hands and said they'd be back sometime tomorrow. Getting irate got a promise of two portable AC units only and then they only brought one. Making it worse, when I got mad, the two maintenance techs started talking in spanish to each other throwing frequent looks at me while they did. I have no problem with people speaking their own language, but not when you are in someone's home and they are upset with you already. The property manager claimed she has no discretionary spending and has to use only a single company that cannot look at it until the end of the next day (this means she is a hamstrung property manager or she was too cheap to take our problem seriously). The 3rd party AC tech says it needs replacing and has to get it authorized from the apartment manager. We hear nothing for days until yesterday we receive a letter apologizing for all the problems and stating that they have "lost the maintenance crew". Of course, since this has been referred to an outside contractor, this has nothing to do with our problem. Meanwhile, even while cooling off outdoors our AC is still running almost except when we have to turn it off because it is icing over. Pathetic. Do NOT move here.
1. They are expecting me to pay a bill to OUC almost triple what I normally pay because they refused to fix a leak I told them about until it started showing visible damage. 2.Parking is horrible, you must get home early or park far away to avoid getting towed 3. They only respond when they want to and since new management there is no longer an option to speak with someone when calling in. 4. They take days - weeks on maintenance request and you have to request multiple times. 5 . They only care about rent getting paid, not the tenant. 6. The appliances are all outdated for the rent cost. Wish we still had our old management team. I didn't have any problems.
On 09-24-2018 I relocated from Phoenix Arizona and moved into The Summit at Metrowest Apartments located in Orlando, Florida. Choosing this apartment complex has quickly became a decision that I have regretted. Upon move in the apartment was not properly cleaned before being cleared for occupancy. The appliances, cabinets, countertops, ceiling, and base boards are dirty. There was also a broken shelf in the kitchen, stains/ scratches in the toilet, and wasps nests being formed in the roof of the balcony. IT GETS WORST. I woke up at 12 AM from a cockroach crawling up my neck. Upon jumping out of bed to run to the bathroom. There was another cockroach crawling over my personal hygiene items and one in the bathtub. All of these events occurred during my first night after moving in. I am not looking forward to seeing what the future holds living here. No one has offered to compensate me for the additional funds I have spent to replace potentially contaminated personal hygiene items and groceries. The bathtub contained rust, scratches, and stains. The maintenance team painted over the areas with white wall paint instead of having the tub properly resurfaced. The wall paint in the tub is now cracked and bubbling. I work hard to earn my money and I refuse to pay to live in filth. Milestone Management and the management team at The Summit at Metrowest need to respect and value their tenants that they accumulate funds from. No one deserves to live with roaches crawling in bed with them! ** I am working on contacting the local new channels so they can report a story and assist me in filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Orlando Housing.
Never any parking spots when you come back after 8 pm. They made a big ordeal out of everyone getting a parking pass but don't enforce anything. They charge $75 for a garage or parking spot, but it might not even be close to your building. I'm learning to not leave after 7:30 PM or I won't have a parking spot. Guess I could park illegally like everyone else...... Management is no help.
My family moved to the Summit apptmnts from Lake Mary, fl. We had to down grade from 4/2 to 2/2. It's an adjustment for all is us. Even thought we move to Summit apptmnts in the middle of a new company taking over property . The people there were helpful . And made process smooth. There's is a few thing I would like see change, but I understand the have a list of thing the are working on . I have no problems at the summit sofar.
When you first think Metrowest, you think of a higher end neighbor hood but unfortunately The Summit does not reach Metrowest expectation. From the beginning, the gate doesn't work even tho they said it was getting fixed, we have now lived here for 8 months and nothing has changed. The pool is always dirty, and the jacuzzi has been broken since we've moved here. The lobby offers the use of a broken pool table and outdated computer with dialup dinosaur internet. Air conditioning is very old causing the light bill for a one bedroom shoebox sized apartment to have the price of 4 bedroom house. Maintenance is late even for emergency situation. For example, the time we had no air for 2 days in 90 degree whether causing us to sleep which the unscreened porch door open letting in all the fly's and bugs (including wasp) into the apartment. Doors in bedroom, closets and pantries are old, break easily and are constantly locking themselves, easily stained and get stuck while opening. Your last impression would be parking. It's not rational to residents and there's no control over who lives here and who's just parking there car here. Good luck because when you finally find one, most likely its under an overgrown untrimmed tree which is going to ruin your freshly clean car and if its not the tree, it would definitely get ruined by the overpopulation of squirrels.
All 5 stars!!! When I was looking for an apartment, there where a few key things I was looking for: convenience, affordability, amenities, and the size of the unit. This place won me! Walking distance from Valencia College, fast food restaurants, and a skip away from Walmart. The people at the front are very welcoming and their maintenance staff will get your work order complete in a timely manner. It has now been 2 years since Ive been here, and I wouldn't trade this place for anywhere else. I highly recommend you check out The Summit at Metrowest
I have lived at the Summit Apts at Metro West for almost 6 years and I have a washer and dryer and a garage for cheaper than alot of places. The location is close to Walmart, I 4, Universal Studios, International Drive etc. I also have a balcony. I recommend the Summit Apts
