Pioneer Meadows is a rising neighborhood in northern Sparks. Pioneer Meadows feels suburban, featuring newer single-family homes and upscale apartments available for rent with expansive views of the skyline and the mountains beyond. This neighborhood has a small plaza with grocery stores, casual restaurants, and other businesses, but residents don’t have to go far with several shopping centers like Sparks Crossing nearby. Why vacation when you live in a resort? I absolutely love living here. Andrea & Chris have done everything to assist me whenever I have questions or need assistance. Everyone in the office is so pleasant and professional. My friends in Monterey schedule their vacations to visit me because all the amenities here feel like a perfect vacation spot. We are 2miles from restaurants, groceries, convenience stores and miniature golf courses/ water parks. Everything I need is within a few miles while being surrounded by beautiful homes and residence. It feels like a peaceful suburban community a stones throw away from everything you could need. I absolutely love living in this spacious apartment that feels more like a home. The layouts of these apartments, the large closets and raised ceilings give a home vibe. I challenge you to find a more spacious apartment with these amenities at this price!! 5 stars to the new owners and new management!!

Everything is great so far. Been moved in for 5 days. Only thing i would change is getting someone to answer the phone when we call or at least call back. Love the place, waiting for the amenities to open back up so we can use them.

Best Place Ever!! This is true luxury resort living. The management staff and team are incredible from everything you could think of. The property is incredible and the apartments are Immaculate and extremely well designed. Very smart. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. Andrea and her staff are amazing and make the place even that much better.

New Lease Being able to view and sign your renewal lease online from your living room is so convenient and easy. You can take your time going through so many pages before signing the lease. However, I still wish and hope that the property owners will consider offering lower rent fees to seniors, especially those of us who have been here over 10 years, if they don't and everything raises again next year I will have to move on.

Maintenance It takes several requests to have needed maintenance completed. It can take a week to a month to have work completed when you leave a message or email.. At times received notification had been done but no one had come to my apartment. I have found the best way to have work completed quickly is find the head of maintenance and talk with him directly. He is helpful and makes sure all work is completed in a timely manner. Once the maintenance crew comes in they complete the work quickly and effectively. The maintenance crew is always friendly and makes sure you are satisfied.

I have been living here for about 7 months. The property has nice grounds and the layouts are hard to beat. We have had some intrusive bugs such as large spiders and ants. Most disturbing however is the trespassing of non-residents coming into the property through the gates and going into the pool, using the facilities and etc. Myself and other neighbors have documented this and submitted our concerns to management. Although there are pedestrian gates which are lockable, driveway gates which have access code capability, and security cameras, none of them are on or functional. Today my car hood was smashed in with a blunt object (most likely a rock which is part of the landscaping here. I ask for security footage but they said the cameras do not work. Yes, I said it publicly. I spent the morning calling several law firms however it generally a waste of time, most attorneys are lazy over charging people that do not want to fight a corporation. The property says they are not liable for vandalism but as someone who has some experience in law, this would easily be circumvented with the negligence that this corporation has with the non functional gates and security equipment. Bottom line, choose another place. Looks can be deceiving as we have learned living here. And just to get ahead of any response from the management team: You have been saying for months that you would get the cameras and gates working but you have failed to do so.
Worst experience I’ve ever had renting. I spent more time sleeping elsewhere because of the stomping from upstairs that started at 4am EVERY morning, the tv loud enough at 6am on weekends to be able to hear every word. Fortunately my job transferred me across the country. I asked continually about the final bill and three weeks after I turned in the keys I got a collection notice. No explanation of the final charges at all. Straight to collections. Definitely one of the worst (and costliest) mistakes of my life.
We have lived at the Trails for 5 years, the apartments and grounds are beautiful. The management team has changed over the years several times. The current team is very friendly and has resolved any issues I have brought to their attention in a quick efficient manner. The maintenance team is excellent and has taken very good care of us over the years.
I see lots of bad reviews on different sites that I wish I would have seen before moving into the placeI rented furniture from this complex, as I was only going to be here 4 months. When I moved in, only half of my furniture was there. When confronting the office, they said that I had called them and said that I didn't need one of the two bedrooms furnished. This was not true, and it was reflected in my contract that I needed a fully furnished apartment. It took over a week for the rest of my furniture to be delivered, so I had to go out and buy an air mattress for my friend who had traveled with me to sleep on. Included in the rent is money for pool upkeep. The 'year round' pool at this location was closed more than it was open. Mind you, I was living here all summer. Claims to be a gated community, but gate is always broken so left open. The final straw was moving out and how complicated the staff at The Trails makes the process. The male in the front office, Jeremy, takes every opportunity present to screw his leasers over when moving out. I had scheduled a time for the furniture rental company to come pick up my furniture, but I had to schedule this through The Trails. I set a date and asked if I could have a time frame as I was in the process of moving. He said that he didn't have one at this time but he would call and let me know. When the day came for the pick up, I got a call from him. I was this call to be the giving of a timeframe. I was incorrect; he was telling me that they had already been by and that I had items on my dresser that prevented them from collecting the furniture. This meant they had to reschedule the pick up, which could not be done for 4 days. This means I had to pay for 4 days of rent passed my signed lease end date. I take partial responsibility due to the fact that I didn't have the furniture ready, but it was something that could have been taken care of in less than 15 seconds, and no one gave me a time frame that I had been expecting. After my refund came, I noticed I had been charged for a few blinds that I had clearly noted as broken in my move-in inspection. I called the office and talked to Jeremy, who in turn told me that he could refund that money, but if he did would add a charge that he had previously 'cut us a break on'. Staff here are so unorganized and SUCK at costumer service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
They DO NOT treat their tenants with consideration. They DO NOT follow through on their word. They're sneaky and go behind your back and WILL find every way to charge you an extra buck. Find a better community if you enjoy being treated like a decent human being.
Don't get sucked in, they're beautiful apartments and beautiful amenities, but absolutely the worst laziest staff I have ever had to deal with. They never answer the phone during business hours, forget leaving a message you will never get a returned call. The walls are so thin, you can hear all neighbors, especially if you're on the bottom, I would call and complain all hours of the day and night about how loud my neighbors were, nothing ever got resolved. I actually was suppose to switch to another apartment, I scheduled a walk through and the manager missed my appointment, I called left messages never called me back until hours after my appointment, they always had an excuse never took responsibility for their actions it was always a "misunderstanding". The bugs I would get in my place absolutely disgusting, everyday I would wake up to multiple Rollie pollies in my kitchen, I would have at least 2-3 huge spiders a night in my place I would watch them seriously crawl right underneath the door, I found two stink bugs in my bathroom, forget going outside and enjoying fresh air on your patio, with the wetlands right behind the apartments there is so many gnats you can't even open your patio door without the whole inside of your apartment getting swarmed with bugs. But I guess my final straw was when I was at home and I walked out to a man unlocking my apartment and walking inside. When I asked what he was doing he said spraying for bugs! I DID NOT give my consent for them to enter my apartment. I broke my lease after that, once again I had scheduled a pre walk through and the staff was a no call no show once again. I didn't even waste my time making a new appointment, I could never get ahold of them anyways. I will say during my last month there I dealt with corporate instead of the staff at my complex and corporate was very understanding.
The front office withheld money from me AFTER agreeing they did in fact owe me money. Jeremy in the office called and told me a check would be in the mail and after TWO MONTHS never received it and now won't return my phone calls. This is all after I received my security deposit a week AFTER THE legal 30 days you are suppose to receive it. I remained calm and understanding through all but was instead taken advantage of. The beauty these apartments are completely overshadowed by lack of professionalism. Whats the point of paying on time and keeping the apartment well kept to only have money withheld from you for no reason. I lived at the trails for 7 months as a mid-step between moving into my boyfriends house. I fell in love with how beautiful the apartments were and decide to pay the extremely high rent. My rent included dog rent and an increased price for a shorter lease. All in all it was my choice to pay it so oh well. I moved in to an apartment with broken blinds and was told they had a handy man to fix it coming the next day. Needless to say I moved out with those same blinds broken. Everything went smooth until I received my security deposit back AFTER 30 days of move out. I was charged small fees for touch ups which is expected and was even complimented by how great I left the apartment. What wasn't great was the 400 dollars that was taken out of my check for month to month charges. I paid a full months rent before moving out when I should have paid a prorated and the prorated amount included the 400 dollars is LESS then a totals month rent. They AGREED and yet never sent me my check and did not return my phone calls.
Way too many kids in my building. Parents seen to think that they can l let them outside and let them run wild and annoy other residents. I am talking about apt 2427. As a Sr. Citizen I want peace and quiet. I was told before I moved in that this this was a quiet place...
Love the interior of the apartments. We never hear any of our neighbors. The grounds are kept nice and the pool and office area are fantastic. My only complaint is that they advertise stainless steel gas grills throughout the property when in fact there are only small little charcoal grills that you would find at a camp ground or public park.
I've lived her for over a year now and I love it. It's very quiet, very clean, and gated. The staff is very professional and always willing to help. Maintenance is quick and efficient. Love this place.
