Upon moving in to the trails, the third story flooded the second floor and my floor. I could not stay in the apartment for over a week due to them trying to replace carpet and trying to dry out the walls. After that we had a roach problem. This was consistent throughout the duration of the lease. They would come and spray and then I would find more. The maintenance guy told my fiancé and myself that there is a roach problem in most of the buildings and that the pest control skips over a lot of steps when treating apartments to insure that pests are kept at bay so since they do that it isn’t treated properly and that’s why there is an issue. There was also an electrical issue which did get fixed but again we were out of the apartment and paying for hotels again to which we did not get reimbursed. Since our electric had been out for days, we lost every bit of food in the refrigerator and freezer to include breast milk for my infant that couldn’t be replaced. Again, we were not reimbursed for anything lost. I had asked the ladies in the office what it would take to terminate early with all of everything we have had to deal with living here. They instructed that I only pay the next months rent and that was it to which I do have witnesses to the conversation. I paid October's rent even though I was not residing there because that is what was asked of me. They had also told my fiancé when he had called to check if we owed anything, that we were paid up to date and that they didn’t need anything other than the keys. As far as we knew everything was taken care of. Here we are in almost December and I get a call from a collection agency that I owe $2,000 in early termination charge that they NEVER told me about. I was unaware completely and had they said I would not owe that, I would have figure something else out. I had to replace things I lost due to their poor electrical systems, doctors costs due to us getting sick from the mildew and probably mold. I have been out expenses I shouldn’t have and they want me to pay more!?!?! For what???? The mold and roach holiday inn????? The place is never clean and trash is always everywhere. My apartment consistently stunk no matter what I did and the best part is that they are acting like nothing is wrong there. If anyone needs the proof I got it.
I don't understand why they think they can raise rent every month. Way too strict yet there is trash laying everywhere and the turn around time on maintenance is minimum a week.
Nice place and very good maintenance, but some of the front office people lack customer service and just don't know how to talk to people!
I've lived here for almost a year, and love it. I was concerned because I read all the bad reviews, but I went and saw the place, and was impressed. Then I reread the bad reviews and noticed for the most part people sounded bitter and unhinged. The staff is awesome! They plan events for the community, are super friendly and helpful (some more than others, but mostly they are...the manager is awesome, and hard to see Ericka without a welcoming smile on her face). They're super attentive to our needs, and if I submit a maintenance request, it's typically handled within hours. Maintenance has been a total non-issue, except how quickly things get handled...it's noticeable. Overall, I'd describe it as a family atmosphere. As far as the residents, it's most mature folks, many families, and some singles. As a parent, I have observed that most residents either have kids or love kids. They worked with me, and have with others on the unit, price, deposit, etc...proving very flexible. Overall I've loved living here. The complex is super spacious, not the typical "cram in as much as we can," campus. Buildings have 20 yards between them, as does the pool, tennis courts, etc. All are well maintained. Nothing is paradise. There is garbage/junk that residents leave around, like drink cups, etc....and it can sit there longer than I'd expect. I'm a responsible neighbor, and I like to teach my kids that if you see a mess, even if you didn't do it, clean it up. So when it's one or two things, and they're able to be touched without gloves, I will help out. But my biggest negative is that they really need speed bumps. People drive entirely too fast through the parking lot. However, it's a nature of the design, as the lot is very wide and spread out. Enough for three or four cars to pass side by side. If it were tighter and constrained, maybe people would drive slower. As it is, speed-bumps would solve it, but puzzlingly, they don't install them.
I was needing an apartment same day of moving out. I had been looking for several months at every apartment online, and several in person. There weren't too many I was impressed with, and the ones I really liked were too over priced for even a 1 bedroom. I went to visit Trails at 10:30 am and I was approved and moved in at 7 pm that night. The office staff was friendly and professional. The buildings are very energy efficient and I was able to get a 2 bed 1 bath for the price of most 1 bed 1 bath apartments in OKC. It's in a great location. Sunset views here are beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a nice and safe place to live.
Went in to look at their apartments. Very nice management. The price you pay for all that you receive is really great. Washer/Dryer, tanning, big gym, etc.
They asked me to put a deposit down at the beginning of September to be put on a list for October. When I contacted them at the end of September I was told I was way down on the list for November and when I asked for my deposit back they told me it would take 30 business days.
Trails at Rockwell is an excellent apartment complex. I have not had one complaint since living here. It's affordable, luxurious, and great customer service. I also like that there are always two police officers on duty that live at the complex so that added security is great. Location wise, you couldn't ask for anything better. It's in a safe area and close proximity to everything you need. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I give it 5 stars.
This company will ask for a deposit and promise you an apartment between two months date. When it comes time, there are no apartments available. They are liars and you don't want to waste your time with them!!
