With its old-growth shade trees and 100-year-old refurbished homes, the Midtown neighborhood of Omaha combines a sense of old-world charm with proximity to downtown and the University of Nebraska-Omaha, both of which are directly east of the neighborhood. Within Midtown Omaha, many renters opt for the smaller neighborhood of Midtown Crossing, a 16-acre development that mixes apartments, restaurants, and shops for a true live-work-play environment.
Many residents choose Midtown Omaha for its short commute time to the University of Nebraska Medical Center and other downtown destinations. After taking a stroll under the expansive trees of Midtown, head to Turner Park to enjoy Jazz on the Green concerts or stop at some of Omaha's finest restaurants for a bite. Residents head to the Grey Plume in Midtown Crossing for its innovative menu or the Crescent Moon Ale House to enjoy its friendly pub atmosphere.

Property Ratings at The Traveler Apartments
The place is nice and clean. The neighbors and the neighborhood is generally quiet. The problem though, is paying an extra fee ON TOP OF already expensive rent, so that the “blackstone area” can look nice. So if you can find a place for the same price or close to it, choose that place instead. Also, it is really hard to guarantee parking if you do not pay an extra $45-$100 for a parking spot in the back. People from the hospital and the college park on the street during the daytime and people from random places come and park during the nighttime
Property Manager at The Traveler Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello. We thank you for your review and appreciate your feedback. I believe you are referring to the amenity fee. This fee is for the beautification of the Traveler apartments many amenity spaces located within the interior as well as the exterior. It is referred to as the beautification of Blackstone as Traveler is one of our many amazing properties located within our portfolio and the Blackstone District. Traveler is both centrally located within Omaha and conveniently located near the UNMC/Nebraska Medicine's campus. As with all street parking, it is monitored by the city. We understand your concern and are happy to go over assigned parking options with you. We appreciate having you as a resident and welcome you to provide feedback to us.
The apartment itself was nice—nothing spectacular. I had no complaints about neighbors or noise, but the leasing managers were never in the office and were very slow to respond to questions, if I got a response at all. The fees and expenses are, in my opinion, far too high for the amenities and services provided. I would say if you can find something else within this price range, go there.
Great place to live if you go to school at UNMC - short walking distance. Everything is new and clean. Very quiet. No complaints. I would recommend this apartment to a friend!
I love my new home! Great amenities, wonderful layouts and competitive unit pricing. The decor is modern and fresh and I have nice neighbors. I also love the nice large windows and the central location. It is also handicap accessible which is important to me. I would recommend this property!
