A Bay Area locale on the rise, West Oakland is poised to be one of the most popular Oakland neighborhoods for its relatively affordable rentals and proximity to public transit. West Oakland is tucked into the area formed by Interstate 880, 980, and 580 complex just across the bay from San Francisco. Oakland’s recent swell in popularity has made West Oakland a common spot for the commuting crowd outside of the Golden Gate City. You’ll find a few parks and plenty of coffee shops and trendy restaurants just off the industrial areas that line the bay.
Modern apartment rentals in mid-rise buildings and charming homes in long-standing houses showcase the contrast of this Bay Area neighborhood. Commuting into San Francisco takes just 15 minutes via car, or 20 via BART, the Bay Area’s public transportation system.

You're the best! We really appreciate the positive review. Thank you so much - hope you have a fantastic day!
Honestly I really like how up to date everything is! Especially the style of units. Especially the interior of the units. The apartment complex is pretty kept up, but can always improve! Overall great first experience at an apartment complex.

Hi there - thanks for your lovely comments about our community! At The Union Apartments, it's our pleasure to serve. Hope we can be off assistance to you in the future! Best wishes from The Union Apartments.
I absolutely LOVE my apartment. I just moved in recently and so far it has been nothing but smooth sailing. From the accurate reviews on Google, working with Tahlia, Victoria, and Miriam, everyone has nothing but helpful and courteous!! The pictures look just like the actual apartment when you take your tour either virtually or in person. That was one BIG thing that really sealed the deal for me because alot of times companies will put the model apt on their website to show and get you all excited to potentially rent at their complex, but when you get there it's nothing like what you thought it would be when you get your apt. Not here at the Union!! I got exactly what was advertised!! I honestly love that I get the privilege to call this place my home.

The Union is located at a very convenient location. Especially for someone who works in SF, but prefers to live in Oakland. There are some great staff members working in the office/ reception that are not only professional, but friendly. Will hear you out and take action on whatever issues may arise.

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Union! We sincerely thank you for the positive review, and look forward to seeing you again soon!
The Union is very clean, spacious, and cost effective. Only complaints are the numerous homeless outside my apartment (which I can see) as well as the very loud music at 7th West (a venue across the street from the apartments), and there not being any blinds in the apartment when you move in.
Property Manager at The Union, Responded To This Review
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We do have our blinds scheduled to be installed in the first week of August. Regarding the homeless people, we work directly with the city of Oakland to get the ecampments removed however, due to covid restrictions they are unable to move them until it's safe to do so. Rest assured, we are working very hard to get the homeless into a safe area and clean the surroundings!
