Property Ratings at The Venue At Montecillo Apartments
I have lived here for over 4 years and the new girls in the office give the complex a different vibe. They are fun to talk to and get stuff done quick. The maintenance has been painting the Buildings and making this place look great again. You can see how new management reflects on this place. I hope to see more updates and changed.
I am extremely happy with my stay here at Montecillo Apt. I’ve been living at the Montecillo’s since 2015 and I Absolutely love it. It’s a family culture here. The staff is very professional and whenever I need maintenance they are always efficient and get the job done. I have to say that living here at The Venue at the Montecillo’s has been and still is a great experience. I love it here! I highly recommend The Venue or any of their sister Apartments.
My little dog and i went to the dog park at the view. She enjoyed her running and fetching, and then we walked back up to Mesa and over to the Hillside Coffee Company. I thought i was going to have a cappucino, but i ended up having a beautiful experience. There were three cellists from UTEP playing classical music, and those present enjoyed the beauty of the morning at Monticello. In the summer my windows are open to hear the music from Malolam, and the people walking and talking on the sidewalks below. Monticillo, The View has a great vib, fantastic staff, and a diverse friendly community. I recommend checking out Monticello, The View.
First off, do not trust the 5star rating on this page, unless you are overwhelmed by the flowery language. Next, The Venue is no longer what it was, I suggest going elsewhere. I have given my notice. In all honesty, some of the issues below are partial to the "rental effect", they are likely in part to who neighbors you. In great part however the Venue, managers and smart developers partially cause and certainly own the problem. The rent is highly inflated. The place is noisy, inside and out. It is surrounded by construction in eternity. Security is poor, why is there no gated entrance. Trash in parking lots, occasional dog pooh, thanks to friendly neighbors and absent enforcement. The pool is not patrolled and i see many people i dont recognize. The smell from Iburger is ever present in pm and nights. Dending on wind i hear the band play outside patio. now its completely smothered with lot and road traffic, and N. Mesa traffic is the worst offender, could have been avoided with smarter design. Its supposed to be a so called smart community, and my political rep for the area told me the developers received tax money to make it a smart community. I am waiting, no bike roads, exercise path, ripped open parking lots, connected side walks, solar, recyc, anti noise pollution, . Now that i am moving i see coveredd parking under constructioonnever mind. In short its completely commercialized. If you like young , bousterous and active crowd, this is your place. If you enjoy a mostly qiuet respectful neighborhood of professionals or middle adulthood families this i am afraid is not a good place.
We moved into these apartments a month ago after touring many apartment communities in El Paso. We moved here for the upscale amenities and have been extremely disappointed in the poor quality and workmanship. When we toured the apartments it was during office hours so most people are working and we weren't aware of the noise level. The office staff told us it was state of the art sound proofing and you couldn't hear your neighbors. This is anything but true. We can hear the vacuum cord tapping on the floor above us, every foot step, laughing, children jumping off furniture, etc. For the amount of money being charged to live here they should have invested some money in sound proofing the ceilings. The appliances are also very cheap and you must use AT&T universe for internet and cable because you have no other options. Overall the aesthetics of the apartment are nice but don't be fooled. They are extremely noisy at all hours and I would not recommend living here.
If you are looking for a quiet place to live, this is not the place. It advertises the "smart community" design, but who knows when that will actually happen. N. Mesa is really loud, the windows and walls are so thin, you hear all the cars running throughout the day and night. You can even hear your neighbors walking around and listening to all their music. the appliances are really cheap and the sink is rusty all the time with the cheap faucets. The management acts nice but they really don't care, they just charge and do whatever they want. Parties are to make it seem like they are being nice. Don't live here, it's not worth it. Maybe the other apartments aren't as new, but trust me, it is better to live there and pay less than to live here.
I have been living here for more than a year know and the apartments are wonderful. not only are there unique and spacious but management works with you on any issue you may have or they will just help you out on anything. The floors to the scenery this is a place were you will forget about a house and want to ask if you could buy the apartment. Great people and great location.
Design, quality, location, aesthetics are pretty good; also, responsiveness of staff, esp the manager, is A+; once completed the neighborhood amenities will be great (if you consider a Neighbhd Walmart etc and a movie theatre "great"); on the negative side, N Mesa location is noisy which of course is not per se fault of apt complex but noise violators speeding up and down N Mesa. Montecl could have built the parking lots fronting N Mesa instead the desert valley maybe, to buffer noise. another negative is, it doesnt quite (yet) feel like Smart Community (thank you taxpayers), its got no connecting sidewalks up or down along N Mesa - unforgivable, connecting it "smartly" with the other communities. also, it has no bike paths or exercise paths (yet?) around the neighborhood. Pools are a bit small but otherwise very nicely designed and amenitised. The biggest negative, for a low-mid tier luxury property: it has no garages, no covers, or parking garage, that is [almost] unforgiveable for this calibre. Lastly, some - very few really - of the tenants are nuisance, mostly the younger and boisterous crowd, littering hallways, dog p9#p and broken glass and litter in parking lot; had minor vandalism to my sedan. BUT: Montclo staff fixes these problems super promptly, and I know they have no tolerance for this.
I moved in about 4 months ago and the place is awesome! I have had some issues with a couple appliances , BUT they always got fixed that same day. Staff is super friendly and is always staying in contact with the residents and they basically know you by name. I am on the third floor and love my view of mount cristo rey and the pool off my balcony. I definately would say these apartments are diiferent from the rest in el paso. Yes I can get a house for a similar price, BUT I am not ready to mow a lawn yet or sweep my drive way. Overall I enjoy these aparments and the sunset view can not be beat.
Moved in September of 2012. First morning I woke up in this luxury suite, it felt as if I was in a fine hotel abroad! The Italian style architecture with it's expansive glass windows overseeing the beautiful mountainous desert landscape. I continued towards the private terrace to enjoy the morning breeze while listening to the sound of the fountain just below. It was this experience that made it all worthwhile to have waited a little longer to move in to this resort-style luxury development. The service from it's highly qualified management team as well as it's prestigious west-side location. The luxury features throughout, the refrigerated air/heat available year round. During the day when most construction takes place, I am away at work and realize that the best is yet to come with it's shopping and entertainment venues. Oh did I mention the Management team organizes tenant appreciation (catered) events with all the bells and whistles! I would recommend this lifestyle living to everyone. My experience living at The Venue has and continues to be a most delightful and luxurious one. I am finally HOME!
Im from LA, the Army brought us to El Paso so I love living in the Venue because it reminds me of the structures you see back home. I wasnt going to live anywhere else but here. Sometimes its a bit noisy but whatever, I grew up in the city. This is nothing. The front office is great and the maintenance staff is all over it whenever I put in a request. Again, like I said Im from LA so for rent costs here in this stunning apartment I have no complaints. This is way cheaper than living in California.
Don't get fooled by the pictures on their website or by the way it looks on the outside. The place is flashy but really isn't that great. Not for the cost. There are only a couple of palmtrees in the pool. That's about all you will see of the 'lush landscaping' they advertise on their website. The rest is just a few desert plants placed uniformly on a floor of pink rocks that you see when you drive down on mesa. The complex is supposed to be friendly to pedestrians with plenty of shade. The reality is that the trees on the property don't generate any shade as they constantly snap with the strong winds here, they are pretty frail. The inside of the apartments is small, you don't really have that much space. Parking is a nightmare, specially on weekdays after 6 pm. Save your money and rent a house, there are no upscale apartments in El Paso yet.
After the construction has been all over the news and they asked the county for a subside I expected the place to look much nicer. The landscape is just boring and unkept. Dead trees and ugly rocks, they have a couple palmtrees in the pool but thats about it. They need to put more. In fact I think the pool isnt even usable. After a year that they opened the pool is still closed. I dont think its worth spending the money they charge here. Save some money and buy or rent a house.
No other apartments in El Paso even compare to The Venue at Montecillo!! Beautiful inside and out, plus gorgeous views. The office staff is very friendly and they will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. I have lived here 3 months and they already had 2 catered parties for the tenants. The quality of the service and the apartments themselves make it ALL worth it!!!
Property Manager at The Venue At Montecillo Apartments, Responded To This Review
Cearly a management post.
I had a list of 5 repairs by bedtime the first day and 16 before the end of the first month. The maintenance crew is great, but some of the office staff are very grudging about having the repairs done. Construction is cheap and insulation poor.
