About 40 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth, Denton is an energetic, progressive community in the heart of the DFW Metro. Even by Texas standards, Denton is booming – it is one of the nation’s fastest growing communities. It’s a college town, home to the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University, but it’s also a hub for business and tourism, located near Lewisville Lake and only a few minutes south of Ray Roberts Lake.
The 35 Denton Music Festival and Denton Arts and Jazz Festival are both signature events with great tunes and dancing. You’ll find tons of things to experience in this suburban city. Spend your days at nearby Lewisville Lake or shop the stores at Golden Triangle Mall.
Local restaurants thrive in the downtown area, like LSA Burger Co. With its unique burgers, rooftop patio bar, and live bands, this Lone Star Attitude-inspired eatery offers a true Texas atmosphere.

Property Ratings at The Venue
I give partial credit because maintenance is usually fast and friendly, but the complex is not worth the money in my opinion. I was charged $30 one time when my first payment didn’t go though and I had to switch to an alternate payment. I’m still unsure as to why I was given this charge but never was given a response. I recently had my new car towed from the complex and had to pay $286 to get it back because I wasn’t quick enough to get my new sticker. We have issues with our toilets running, sink disposal, and dishwasher. There are lots of times where water is shut off in the building. Just generally not a pleasant experience, especially not for college students trying to save money.

I have been here since July of 2021, maintenance gets here as quick as they can but they are short staffed so it takes a couple days if not more to fix your issues. I have had several leaking and mildew/mold issues maintenance comes in to fix it and then the problems start all over again like it was never fixed. I have also gotten wrongfully towed here and it took a good while to get my money back, they messed up the amount that they were supposed to give me back twice. It’s a decent apartment just crappy experience I guess. There were cockroaches everywhere when I first moved in. Also apartment was trashed on move-in day, toothpaste in the sink trash on the floor hair in the shower. just not the ideal apartment

For my entire lease there was roaches and ants everywhere! Spent almost half my paysheck every week in bug killers. Walls are paper thin and when I moved out they charged outrageous amounts for the smallest thing! They also shut your water off with no warning and send a text with “sorry for the inconvenience”

I moved in in December of 2021 and I DO NOT HAVE HOT WATER. Management has been saying they are going to fix it but they never have. There is also a lot of crime that goes on in these apartments and the cops are always here. DON’T MOVE HERE!!

So I've lived here for two years and usually when you live somewhere for a while, the rent goes down a bit. Nope. My rent got added on $50 extra. My first year, we had a terrible roach infestation, and mind I add my sister and I were NEVER home to eat so there was never food in the kitchen, and it took us 3 maintenance request for them to finally come out and bring Orkin. Second, there was a leak in my bathroom every time it rained and I hadn't noticed until I noticed MOLD and MILDEW growing on the ceiling. Instead of fixing the roof, they SPRAY PAINTED it. The mold IS STILL THERE. Lastly, I've made SEVERAL complaints about the washer and dryer they provided, and how it rumbled every time I turned it on. Instead of fixing it, they said they did something to it and it should stop. IT DIDNT. It finally broke. Also, I've vacuumed a few times around the apartment but I started deep cleaning it. Tell me why I found blonde hair and a BELLY BUTTON RING. THEY DON'T CLEAN THEIR APARTMENTS BEFORE MOVING IN THEIR NEXT TENANTS!!

I'm lucky to have military benefits to where I don't have to pay for my 1 bedroom, but it is very expensive for what you get. The washer and dryer in unit is great, maintenance is always super helpful and quick, office staff are nice, and the grounds are kept clean. No issues with bugs, and I never hear my neighbors through the walls, but the windows don't keep out any noise from the street. The apartments are also gated; one of the reasons I specifically moved here. Also, having the UNT bus route is super amazing. They're also pet friendly, and the deposits and fees for animals aren't outrageous. For the cons, the apartment was "clean" when I moved in. As in, it looked like somebody did a quick job of it and didn't try too hard. The floors were streaky, the window tracks dirty, and behind the washer/dryer and oven are kinda gross. As I said before, it's very expensive. The trash and recycling dumpsters fill up very, very quickly. Either they need more or they need them picked up more often. There is only one walk in closet; it would be nice if they also had a small closet for cleaning supplies and stuff. Overall, I've loved the two years I've lived at these apartments, and I've felt very safe and welcomed for my first time more than an hour away from home. If you can afford it I would recommend! Honestly, I would give them five stars if the price wasn't as high.

Hello! We appreciate the time you took to leave us feedback. Your input, and the feedback from all of our residents, is vitally important to maintain our customer service. We deeply apologize for the experience at move-in. Again thank you for sharing your experience.
I have lived in this apartment (premium 1 bed 1 bath) for almost 7 months and I can tell you its not worth the price whatsoever. The apartment hasn’t been renivated (except for the kitchen), they don’t clean the apartments before move in, the bathrooms and electrical outlets aren’t patched up, and its overall disgusting. My front door doesn’t even close all the way when its not locked and ants are constantly being found through out the apartment. There’s also no light source in the main room and my light doesn’t even more in my bedroom. Do NOT waste your money!!
It is not the best apartments in the area, but it is far from the worst. Maintenance usually has a good turn around time and do a good job. The inside the apartments are okay and the walls are not too thin. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing and they are strict on parking. Management needs to do a better job. Overall the apartments are decent for college students.
If you are moving here, make sure that you ask to tour the exact unit you will be moving into. We settled on just looking at a random one and ended up with something totally different that what was shown. There were many things wrong with the apartment, it was very dirty, and there are cockroaches. We have asked many times to have our problems fixed, and received promises that they would, but nothing has been done. It is a nice enough apartment, just wish we had a better personal experience.
I've lived here for a few months now, and while it isn't perfect, I'm definitely happy with my apartment. I'm in their smallest floor plan, and while it definitely isn't roomy, the layout is very efficient. The bedroom is small but the walk in closet it great! I've put in a couple of maintenance requests for minor issues (vent in the bathroom not working, small leak under the sink) and they've been resolved very promptly. The location is great - it's about a mile from the UNT campus, so it's close (but not too close). The pool and workout room are both small but clean and well maintained. The staff have been very helpful and friendly.
I loved this place! From the beginning they made it a fun experience for me to move in. I didn't have any issues with this apartment complex. For student housing, it was perfect. They have a tanning bed, pool, gym, and lounge area! Great for student living :)
The venue has really pretty apartments. That doesn't make up for the fact that during the summer the air conditioners do NOT work and it is a cool 84 degrees in my apartment at night. I also do not like the fact that my washer works half the time and the other half of the time it shakes violently. There online bill pay is a great idea, however you can not see your previous payments and it never says how much you actually owe. This online bill pay also charges you a $9 convenience fee for each card processed per month. When you go to tour the apartments they will tell you that for a 1x1 the electric should be no more than $40 and the water $30. This makes no sense and I can tell you that my water ranges anywhere from $40-60 and my electric $65-120. Also during the tour they will show you the computer lab. This is a great feature of the complex except that most of the time there are viruses on the computers and there is usually no printing. When you are about to sign a lease they will say most 1x1 apartments have hardwood flooring throughout and fans in both the bedroom and living room. 1. The floors are laminate 2. Fans are only in bedrooms. So I hope you chose to not make the same costly mistake as I did for the past year. Thanks but no thanks venue I will not be recommending you to anyone.
