Property Ratings at The View
Lived here for two years on the fifth floor and I had no major issues living there. The Good: -The fifth floor was quiet, neighbours were friendly, and the dogs are adorable. -Apartments were spacious and modern. -Most people are respectful of the common spaces and the rooftop, gym, theatre and common areas were well kept. -There is a supermarket nearby, which is really convenient and a good pizza shop across the street. -Maintenance requests were responded to quickly. The Not-So-Good: -Guest parking is VERY limited. For the number of apartments, they did not budget for many renters to have visitors (or seemed to care that they would). -Signage for the building needs to be improved in order for delivery and rideshare drivers to better understand where to meet clients or drop off items. -The fees to reserve the theatre, rooftop areas, and private room space is non-refundable (it was previously refundable) and expensive. -Communication from property management can be without tact and be hot or cold depending on the topic.
Beautiful apartment, I had a one bedroom. The first month my oven wasn’t working. It took them a month to have someone come and fix it. During the summer the AC stopped working and i was given these units with a tube that goes out the window. they claimed it wasn’t working because i had the AC to low which is a bundle of crap because I’ve only used it maybe 3x at the time. If you have a pet DONT LIVE HERE, they are definitely not pet friendly and have a sad excuse of a “dog park”. The parking is atrocious. The property manager that is there now is very rude. I feel since she got the position, things were complained about all the time regarding tenants and their pets. Oh and if you have a parking spot by the tracks and “dog park” , you might get a few roaches on your car.
I lived at The View in Middlesex since they opened in 2021. The property is well maintained and they have a lot of amenities, my favorite being the rooftop. The units are beautiful and very spacious and the building was constructed well so I very rarely hear my neighbors. The property management here is AMAZING. It’s always easy to reach them and they are quick to reply. This is by far the best property in the area. I lived at another complex nearby and had a completely opposite experience. I’ve never had any major issues at The View and if I hadn’t just purchased my first home, I definitely would’ve stayed here! 10/10 best apartment complex and management.
My first apartment and I really love it here. Spacious 1 bed with a den. Den worked out great since I work from home. This was my second choice but after speaking with the Manager and she showed me around a 2nd time I chose this place, I'm glad I did also Maintenance have been very helpful.
If you're moving to this complex and are a dog owner run the other way. As a dog owner it is such a bad experience here as the "dog run" they have is a ruined area. There's snakes and the land is uneven and so many tents use that area just for their pets to just do their business. As the building has so many dogs, they like to meet once a day in the court yard for play time but that was forbidden since the tenants with no pets don't like the barking noises dogs make while paying and owners don't fee safe to use dog runs for play time. So basically your pets are stuck at your apartment all day and night. And I'm sure 95% pet owners tenants are in the same boat as me
The apartments are very nice inside, however, it literally is a building in the middle of the road. On the one side is train Tracks and the other side of the building is a main road and a mechanic. So expect a lot of noise. They also give you a way cheaper price for the first year lease, after the first year the price goes up by 25% which I have never seen before and pretty crazy. There is no park or an area for your kids to play. They have a small hot tub and no pool. For the price, you are better off finding a nicer community complex.
Not even summer yet & the central air has stopped working again. Almost 80 degrees in my apartment
I moved in a few months ago and I can’t wait to leave. I have the most inconsiderate neighbors above me . They allow they children to literally jump and run all day.It actually sounds like they’re going to fall through the ceiling. Then when that’s not happening the couple curses and yells at each other . Management does nothing about after multiple complaints from various units. Don’t expect to find your packages either as they strewn all over the floor. Don’t waste your time !
I moved in a month ago and didn't realize when I was touring the apartment that it is about 50 yards from the train-tracks. All hours of the day and night there are commuter trains and freight trains running on multiple tracks. No idea how the city zoned this area for a residential building. No amount of white noise will hide the trains if you are in a unit facing the tracks. Beware. Other than that, it's a new building that is very nice, bright and spacious. Still working some kinks out. Fedex deliveries seem to go missing as there's no way for delivery drivers to get into the building so packages are just generally left outside. So it's a bit of a roll of the dice.
