Fans of HGTV's "Fixer Upper" are already familiar with Waco, a fast-growing city along the Brazos River in central Texas. But long before Chip and Joanna Gaines began remodeling the city one fixer-upper at a time, Waco was attracting savvy residents looking for a home deep in the heart of Texas. Downtown Waco is where the city began, growing around the iconic Waco Suspension Bridge, completed in 1870. The bridge is located in downtown's Indian Spring Park, with Doris D. Miller Park on the other side of the bridge. Indian Spring Park is the site of Waco's original settlement. Today, in addition to the bridge, the park contains the "Branding the Brazos" Sculpture and a riverwalk.
In addition to Magnolia Market at the Silos, Waco is home to the Dr. Pepper Museum, the Earle-Napier-Kinnard House, Cameron Park Zoo, and Baylor University. The soft drink Dr. Pepper was invented in Waco in 1906, and the museum is a popular tourist destination.

Property Ratings at The View on 10th
The View on 10th has been my home for the past 2 years of my undergrad experience at Baylor. I love the staff as they have always been great in assisting me with any of my issues and quickly responding to complaints. Daniel and Lyndsey are fantastic in truly putting the resident first and I could not imagine a better place to stay while in college! I would recommend The View on 10th to anybody looking for off-campus housing while in the Waco area!
The management is quite professional and the main manger Mr. Mortensen makes each apartment and resident a priority. Often times you will see the manger working hard alongside his employees for the upkeep of the apartment. The employees are kind and the apartments are very safe. Excellent place to live as a college student as it's also very close to Baylor campus (about 2-3 blocks away).
I love The View so much! The rooms are so spacious and the apartment is well kept by management! I love the pool and courtyard as it never gets too loud but always provides a lot of fun for my friends and I! If you are planning on moving to Waco, I would definitely suggest signing at The View!
The View on 10th is a hotel-like complex that takes up the block off of Speight Ave (across from the fire dept). It's very luxurious-feeling for an apartment geared towards university students! It's a short walk from the heart of campus and the amenities here allow me to take peaceful breaks between studying. In terms of the office and maintenance staff, everyone is friendly and helpful. They're great when it comes to helping out with small issues I have. They also get to know your face if you get packages a lot!
The View has a lot of really nice amenities! The gym, pool, and study areas are nice. It can definitely can dirty in hallways and stay that way for awhile. Also pretty regularly the wifi will be spotty or the coffee machine will break - things like that and the view isn’t super quick at fixing them. The actual apartments are pretty nice though. Sound is an issue, I can sometimes hear the people around me pretty well. I live on the third floor and can even hear people outside sometimes. Overall it is nice though. I would give like a 7/10
I just moved into the View on 10th Street this year. Not only is it a convenient walk from campus, but the apartment complex is super modern and updated. The kitchen is in top condition, the bedrooms are spacious, the hallways are clean, and the lobby is always filled with fun events or celebratory treats. All of the amenities are included, from a swimming pool to a work out facility. And all of them are well maintained and managed. But the best part of the View on 10th is by far the employees and managers. Everytime I walk into the lobby, they will greet me, ask me how my dog is, or simply ask how my day is. Not to mention, they are extremely helpful. The other day, I dropped my phone down the garbage chute. I was extremely embarrassed and couldn't stop apologizing, but they took a solid hour and a half out of their day to help me. They were digging in garage, calling for more help, and never once making me feel bad. And after we finally found it after nearly two hours, they took the time to bring it back to the lobby and wash it before returning it to me. I could not speak highly enough about them and how helpful, sincere, and welcoming the employees and management staff are. 10/10 would recommend the View.
