Simply called Whittier, Whittier-Boulder is one of Boulder’s trendiest enclaves and illustrates the quirky, bohemian vibe the city is known for. This historic neighborhood is home to an abundance of colorful bungalows and Victorian houses, including the house featured in the 1970’s hit, the Mork and Mindy show. Along with unique architecture, what sets Whittier’s apart is its eccentric front yards. Many residents enjoy decorating their front yards with sculptures and other items to amuse passersby. The Pearl Street Haunt, a locally famous haunted house, goes all out to celebrate Halloween every year. Due to the area’s proximity to Downtown Boulder, there are typically expensive rentals in Whittier, but there are also more affordable options available including student apartments.
Similar to many Boulder neighborhoods, Whitter is pedestrian-friendly and convenient.

Property Ratings at The View on 26th
Great place to live in, quite accessible to many important places in Boulder.

Hey there - our pleasure! Happy you had a great experience.
I lived at this apartment complex from February 2024 to June 2024, and it was an incredibly frustrating experience due to poor management. In just five months, I witnessed three different office managers come and go. Each time I approached them with a question or concern, their response was always, "I'm sorry, I'm new here; I will follow up on email." But would not even reply to emails. I paid my advance before moving in, but the leasing documents were not signed until a month later. It took the management one month to add me as a new resident to an existing lease. Despite numerous follow-ups via email and in person, I never saw my name on the lease document till date, they only showed me the addendum form. I never got access to my portal and pay rent myself even after multiple follow ups. I had to send and ask my roommates to pay for me. While I was out of town, we received the lease termination form. When I returned and promptly submitted the signed form, they told me I was late and needed to pay a fine. For such important matters, I expected an email or message notification, especially since they would send messages for minor issues like lift breakdowns. They never kept us informed about anything significant but were always quick to charge late fees. At the end of our lease, four of us signed the lease termination form. However, for the deposit refund, they sent us a link to have it deposited with five people, including an old lease member. Once again, there was no response from the leasing office despite multiple attempts to contact them. The worst lease management I have ever encountered. To add on just realized the pictures online look fancy, but the actual apartment does not match the images. Now I have moved to a different apartment, still struggling to get my deposit. This is not what we expect for the prices they charge.

The View on 26th is a decent space, my first apartment was infested by bugs but they gave us a prompt solution at the time. The office staff was not the nicest to me upon my first visit alone until my dad was with me. The building is secure for the most part and kept clean. For the price I pay out here in Colorado it is a good apartment.

Thanks so much for taking the time to give us this feedback! We appreciate you.
The View is in a great location. It’s surrounded by many retail shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The management is very kind and helpful and I feel comfortable in my apartment home. I’ve lived here since May 2023 and I look forward to living here for many years to come. Thank you.

Management is all over the place and needs help. They have been not very polite or kind to me. Cockroach infestation, too small of parking spots - I don’t think this place is worth the price.

Do not rent from this property. There is a serious cockroach infestation that they refuse to adequately deal with. There were a lot of building leaks last year that led to the roaches (plus disgusting tenants they let stay too long). Management is practically never reliably on site, even at their posted office hours. The trash constantly overflows and is gross in every single common area trash. The dog area trash has been full for weeks. The common area is frequently not accessible until way late morning or inconsistent times, which includes access to the courtyard. The supposed pool grill doesn’t have propane. There are no actual bike storage areas. Utilities are split equally across the whole building so even if you don’t use utilities a lot, your bill will be high thanks to everyone else. The elevators regularly break. The list goes on. A lot of upkeep isn’t addressed and management turnover is HIGH. Really a shame because the location is great and last year management was really good. Didn’t last.

Do not sign this lease. Management is terrible. Never respond. Run away when problems come up. No hot water for 4 days in the middle of February. Zero communication. Only 2 stars because of location. I do not write reviews but felt compelled to spare someone from this disaster of an establishment.

Do not rent from The View on 26th; though the location is excellent, the management turnover, the numerous issues with this location relative to the rent you pay, do not match up. Issues such as their fire alarm panel consistently going off on numerous days at all hours of the night, no snow removal on weekends, no hot water for 4 days during winter (Feb 2024), the list goes on and on.

The manager is nasty and does not respond to tenant inquiries. Fire alarms go off frequently in the middle of the night. Fire Dept has declared it a nuisance building. Bug infestations, homeless intrusions, poor trash management, security access issues, no in-unit washer/dryers, no unit updates ever. Just run away!

Trash. The ceiling fell off and was not fixed for three months. For THREE MONTHS we were in a temporary apartment, and we were not moved back until this temp apartment was leased

Great apartment complex with a great staff. Quick and easy process for applying for and signing a lease. Can be pricey for the amount of space being offered, depending on the unit, but the rooms are in great condition and the building is clean and provides great services.

PERFECT PLACE for those seeking: yappy little dogs, chain smoking and package theft

Hi, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but our new management team would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Please contact our leasing office if there's anything that we can do. -The team at The View on 26th
I doubt that this will be shared for marketing purposes, but do not trust the apartments websites or the tours they may take you on through the grounds. The place is junk with fixtures falling apart and holes in the wall providing the appearance the place has not been touched up since the 1970's. Beware of the lack of management, and be prepared to have your car towed at any moment even if you pay for the parking pass. Otherwise, if you are not checking it could be days before you realize it has been towed from your own lot, and owe an exorbitant amount of money for just parking at home.
Great location and a fair price. The amazon package locker is awesome, I will never have to worry about my packages getting stolen. Only negative would be that our room was a dump when we moved in, they didnt clean or fix anything up at all. There is also a homeless person problem in that area, hopefully theyll do something to keep them out of the halls and front entrance way.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience with us. Juliet A. Community Manager
I do not live at the Hub but was house-sitting for a friend and accidentally got locked out on her balcony. I called the maintenance line at 8:30pm asking for help as it was 25 degrees outside and I was completely locked outside from her apartment on the balcony. The maintenance was there to let me in within 5 minutes of my call and didn't even ask for payment and refused a tip, shows how much they care about their residents! I really appreciated their promptness and their devotion to customer service, whether it is a resident or non-resident! Could have been a very bad situation, thankful for their amazing maintenance team/response!
