Laurel enjoys a unique position roughly halfway between DC and Baltimore, and its relative seclusion makes it an attractive option for commuters who work in either city but prefer a small-town home environment. The close proximity to Fort Mead also makes Laurel a popular option for Department of Defense employees and military personnel seeking off-base housing.
The cost of living is rather affordable, and apartments tend to rent for much more reasonable rates than closer to the major cities nearby. While almost exclusively residential, Laurel does feature a handful of large shopping centers along its major roadways as well as a quaint Main Street district, the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee in a friendly café before heading off to work.

Property Ratings at The Views at Laurel Lakes
The apartments are very nice and clean upon move in. has a fireplace which is nice also pets allowed. some of the apartments offer a view of the lake behind it.
Wonderful place to live. Quiet and friendly neighbors, excellent leasing office staff and maintenance crew. Access to a range of amenities including secure exercise facility and amazon lock boxes. Location give access to nearby shopping centers.
Love this place! The staff is great and the apartments are very roomy. It's right next to a lake and park which is great if you have kids. Moderate noise levels, but that apartment living.
Beautiful community. I love the convenience of the shopping centers in the area. My apartment unit is beautiful, it has everything that I was looking for. Neighbors are a bit noisy upstairs, and there is A LOT of dog poop outside. Other than that this is the perfect community!
So far so good. Maintenance seems fast acting, front office is responsive and friendly. Neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves. Parking spots are always available and trash is near by.
Pros: community-feel, fireplace, laundry in-unit, safe, calm, quiet, lakeside, and close to everything I could ever want and need. Cons: units are outdated and should be renovated (popcorn ceilings, full carpeting, lighting, old appliances, small kitchen, funky bathroom, etc.)
I feel like when something goes wrong in my apartment they’re waiting outside at my door waiting to help me. It’s incredible how they care about things that happened in my apartment thank you so much. This is the maintenance.
I'll have to say that this place is almost at rock bottom. Everything is always breaking. Either in your apartment or outside.... For the 15th time this year. Literally. The elevator again. It's been a week already. It's definitely time to move.
The neighborhood is really quiet and relaxing nobody bothers nobody here , people are friendly the but also the community is safe . The fact that they have a gym here love it
The apartments at the views at Laurel Lakes are beautiful and the location is very great with lots of different shops within walking distance.
The community is located in a great area and the staff is so pleasant and helpful. It’s been one of the best move in experiences I’ve had into an apartment complex. Can’t speak enough great things about Ashley, Darryn, and the whole Views Team
Maintenance has been great and responsive! Always a quick turnaround on requests. Great staff and always willing to help. Leasing office is also pretty timely.
Love living here and the maintenance and office teams are great! Everyone is super kind and helpful. Neighbors are really nice and there is a great sense of community here.
It has just been a few days since I’ve moved to this community but, I absolutely love how quiet, peaceful and calm this community surrounding is. I also like how cozy and comforting my apartment is with a beautiful view of the woods from the balcony.
The rental experience with the ladies in the office was excellent. However I wish that I had new carpet when I moved in. The carpet in my apartment is worn.
Buildings are old but the staff are kind and do their best. Excellent views of the lake and lots of shopping nearby with easy access to major roads. Overall the price isn't exactly worth what you get, but you won't find much better around!
So far everything has been great. The neighborhood is peaceful and all the amenities create a relaxing experience! The pool and playground is fun the kids and the shopping centers are convenient for me
They have mice. Trying to get out of my lease now, this is a nightmare. The lack of communication from management is even worse, they are not taking it serious at all. It seems like they are actually avoiding me. no one should have to live with MICE.
Amazing and smooth Move in process. I felt like family the moment I walked through the door. Im super excited for my future here. They sure do know how to make you feel safe and welcomed.. I’m so looking forward to my stay here .
1-year Resident Review! I've officially been a resident here for a year now. I am very happy with my decision and proud to call this complex my home! Pros: • No rodents or bugs (minus the occasional spider) • Awesome maintenance team. My maintenance requests are usually accomplished same day or next day! • Neighborhood is quiet, safe, friendly, and diverse. Easy walk to Laurel Lake and Grandville Gude Park. • I have neighbors above, below, to the left and right of me; rarely do I hear any sounds from them! The carpet helps a lot. • Complex is kept clean. • Lots of renovations and upgrades are being done. • Friendly and responsive staff! Staff consistently communicates important updates in a timely manner. • There is a convenient app to pay rent, make maintenance requests, and send/receive messages. • Keyless door entry (You type in your code on a keypad to enter; you can create a temporary code for guest). • Heat/ Air conditioning can be controlled from an app. • Appliances work well (All electric btw). • Super convenient location with LOTS of nearby shopping and restaurants. • Pet friendly community. • Storage closet on the balcony. • Amazon Lockers. • Clean pool and gym. Cons: • The outside radiators can be noisy at times. • Some amenities mentioned on the website are misleading: -There is no business center (This is what I was told after calling to use this service). -The clubhouse hasn’t been open since I’ve lived here. This may be due to the pandemic. We were told it is currently being renovated, so maybe it will be available in the near future. -The gym is not 24 hours (since I've lived here). The gym hours were from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 9am to 5pm, but has been closed since September for renovations. Hopefully they will extend the hours once the gym reopens! If you are considering moving to Laurel, I definitely recommend The Views at Laurel Lakes Apartments!
I can’t wait to write my review because good things deserves good treatment. The point at Laurel lake is a place you call home. Very clean, calm and the maintenance team respond very quick. I just moved in on the 5/30/2020. Lakel was so nice during the moving process. I’m happy to live here at The point

Welcome! We couldn't wait to thank you for your review! The Point at Laurel Lakes appreciates your residency, and are grateful for your kind words about our maintenance team and peaceful environment. You deserve a wonderful place to call home! Please let us know if we can be of any assistance as you continue to get settled in. Many thanks!
I love it here, the staff is outstanding they are so nice and very helpful. Whenever I've had a problem in my unit they where on it I never had to wait to long for them to fix a problem. It's nice and quite outside no one is hanging around or blasting loud music. The mail room is a blessing around the holidays because I don't have to worry about my packages coming up missing. I've lived here for 2 years and I love it I am spoiled and really don't want to live in another complex. The only complaint I have is the walls are really thin but hey its an apartment and the parking in the back is kind of bad but I feel safe parking at the top and walking down to my building. I live in the only building with an elevator so that's another bonus. You have direct access to the lake and the playground area. The gym is always neat and clean! I also like that the complex has events for the residents for the holidays and just regular meet and greats and at the end of summer they always have dog day at pool which is really cute!

What happened??? New management??? The best part about the property is that maintenance will respond to in house service requests quickly.
Property Manager at The Views at Laurel Lakes, Responded To This Review
Hi, We are sorry if we failed to meet your expectations. We value our residents and strive to provide the highest standard of customer service for them. We are happy that you are pleased with our maintenance team. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please contact us at leasinglaurel@panco.com or 301-498-4111. Thank you.
I know that five star ratings without concerns are sometimes questioned by prospective customers or apartment inhabitants, but I absolutely love this place. I have lived at The Point for a year and haven't had any complaints since living there. The maintenance staff is extremely helpful, the Manager Cindi responds to all concerns in a timely manner, and the location is superb. Prior to The Point, I stayed at 3412 Gateshead Manor Way, and the apartment complex was infested with roaches. Not only was Cindi incredibly helpful with signing a lease and moving in quickly, but understanding our uncomfortable situation prior, she checked on us several times. The only bad thing that happened was during a rain storm a part of my carpet was drenched due to flooding. The maintenance crew treated the situation, provided a new rug, and handled everything without me having to check in or even be present for their work. I can't say enough about this place.
I just moved into the The Point of Laurel Lakes community and absolutely love it! The leasing office staff is outstanding and very welcoming, efficient and courteous. My apartment, well I just love it! There were a couple of things that require attention but although it was not urgent, the staff responded immediately and quickly resolved my concerns. The neighborhood is very quiet, clean and pretty. I am so happy that I made this choice.
THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING , MY NEIGHBORS ARE GREAT AND ITS PET FRIENDLY. ANYTIME THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY APARTMENT IT IS ALWAYS TAKEN CARE OF ASAP.
We lived in our owned home for 30 years and The Point is our first experience at renting in all those years. We didn't know whatwas out there or what to expect. Our first appointment at The Point was so friendly and nice we couldn't wait to sell our house and move to this luxury living. We have never been happier with the beautiful apartment and the really nice property managers who know us by name and make living here better than we hoped for. The Point is luxury living !!!
Very nice location, right on Laurel Lake. Office/maintenance staff has been great, very responsive to maintenance requests ranging from big to small. I have lived here almost a year, and my experience has been very good so far.
I have been living here with my fiance and our dog for almost a year. The application process was a breeze and everyone in the leasing office is very friendly and always eager to help. PERFECT location. Restaurants everywhere and you're close to VA/DC/Baltimore! I would hope they update the HVAC system though, the BGE bill in the winter is shocking!! other than that, great place!
