Property Ratings at The Village Apartments
I’ve lived here for 3 years always on time always tried communicating but they view thier own residence very poorly, they give 0 notices for hidden fees or changes with laundry card witch a lot of us lost the money from our accounts. 2 they literally don’t believe anything you will say they carry themselves above everyone else. 3, they just charged me $38 for not returning 2 rubber wrist bands for the pool. So people take this as you will. It’s a quiet nice neighborhood/ but unfortunately the management really brings this place down 3/10 recommend
Very unprofessional and rude management, out dated appliances (like from the 80's), it always stank. The old man under my apartment was broken into and robed, when i reported it to the management they never come over and checked or did anything. When I moved in, I had committed to a 6 month lease on an apartment. Told them that I would only be needing it for 6 months. When I paid my last month I told the lady it was my last month, and that I would move out at the end of my lease. At the end of my lease they tried to tell me I owed another months rent because I did not give them notice. When I reminded them I had given notice not just once but twice, they said it was not a written notice. The lady preceded to scream at me over the matter. So I walked out. A year later I get a negative report on my credit score for a past due debt. They claimed I owed $145 dollar cleaning fee. I have never received a bill from them for a cleaning fee.
Management is SO unprofessional and rude. Nice at first. They truly have no respect for tenants.
Apartment smells like smoke advised new carpet smell, it's smoke. Yellow brown goo on cabinet drawers and stove. Ice box doesn't stay cool seals are cracked and broke. Poor communication. Wish I could post pictures. Would not recommend.
I have been calling this rental for months now, been told rent would be $595 for a three month lease. I put in application with paystubs. They then raised the rent to $900. Completely illegal. I'm appalled at being treated in this way. I will be contacting BBB. I'm glad I found out ahead of time how they operate. Please be aware of this!
The apartment is decent, over all, especially for such a low price. It has been mostly maintained, though there are signs of repairs not being made. The company is apparently reluctant to repair unless something is intolerable. Even still, the upgraded apartment is better quality than the cheap ones, even if not by much. I had to change the air filter because they install the ones that could let a small rodent through them. This revealed huge amounts of dust in the air system, even beyond the filter. Yuck. Seriously, these people are cheap. It especially shows with their personnel. The lady who runs the office is a jerk. Every complaint gets anger thrown back at the client with accusations of not doing something right or not complaining to them enough so that they could have helped out earlier (as if I'd ever want to). Please keep in mind that I am a rather polite person with a long history of experience in sales with customers. I treat people right. That doesn't matter to her, though. She speaks like she is trying to prove that the client is a moron. I've had specific trouble with receiving packages. After a long history of having packages sent to my apartment and getting confused when many would never show up, I decided that there was a thief. I changed to a different apartment (at an upgraded fee) and started having my packages sent to the office, as they suggested that I should, very specifically. Somehow, that became a problem for them. Despite only ordering products from the internet very rarely, that wasn't good enough for the manager. She told me that I can only have small packages delivered to the office. What a joke. The large ones are the expensive products that need serious protection. Recently, she even went as far as to tell me that I should be sending my packages to my apartment, as if it was weird for me to send them to the office at all. This was even for a very small package: a bubble envelope. I told her my history with the issue, and she simply started her routine of trying to prove her clients wrong. Remember that the people in the office were the ones who told me that I could have packages sent there to solve all of my delivery problems. For the price, the apartments are decent quality. The problem is in the people in the office. The unfortunate cost of living here is in getting angry occasionally.
The staff are rude and lied about why my application was turned down
I have lived here for 5 years and absolutely love it. I looked at some of these posts and can't believe them. I talk to the maintenance and office staff quite a bit and I think they are the friendliest around. We have had to call in work orders and they get there the same day. I love that they cleaned up the pond and got the exercise equipment. I use it all the time. I don't like people talking badly about where I live. This is a great place to live. It's the only apartment complex with a game room, exercise equipment and a great pool. I love all my neighbors too.
Office ladies are the rudest people I've ever encountered at an apartment complex and that's without having requests or complaints. I have seen a mattress sit at a dumpster for months with "bed bugs" spray painted on it. Apartments are dated and the floors are extremely squeaky. Hope you don't end up living downstairs or you will hear a pin drop from neighbors above. You are better off renting elsewhere if you want a quiet and up to date apartment
After living here for 7 years, paying rent early each month, the management was unwilling to work with my family when we moved out. We didn't terminate early but because we failed to give 30 days notice we were charged a months rent, even though it was at the end of our 12 month lease. Despite having a death in the family and other things going on the last month of our lease, they were extremly rude and unwilling to care about anything other than getting as much money as they could. Managment has no customer service whatsoever. Try a terrible experience.
I love living at The Village. This is the cleanest, most helpful staff, and the best amenities. Every time I have anything that needs to be done in my apartment it gets done in the same day I call. I will only recommend The Village as far as ANY place to live in Bartlesville. Way to go Village!!! Very happy resident!!!!!!
I love living here. Thought the style is a wee bit dated the apartment is great! My unit is clean, the facilities are clean and the staff if good. Every night a see security patrol the complex so it makes me feel safe living here. I have never had noisy neighbors or loud patrons in the pool. I am very satisfied with living here and it is a great price for what you get. The only thing that would make this apartment get 5 stars from me is if the appliances were newer.
12/06/2015 From Move in to move out, this complex was very impressionable! Very clean, nice, quite, and safe atmosphere. Grounds and maintenance were done on a routine basis. I lived here for nine and a half months and never saw a bug or insect. Absolutely Bug Free! Management and maintenance staff are friendly, courteous and work with you in any way they can. If I had to live in Bartlesville again, I would not hesitate to live at The Village Apartments! Liz Gardiner
