The Elkridge Hanover neighborhood consists of two unincorporated communities, Elkridge and Hanover. Elkridge is one of the oldest settlements in Howard County, dating back to 1734. This beautiful community features several historic sites, including Troy, which dates back to 1694, when John Dorsey moved to the property. Apartments in Elkridge Hanover provide easy access to parks along the Patapsco River, several golf courses, the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and Downtown Baltimore, which is roughly 10 miles northeast. Arundel Mills provides a wide variety of shops and restaurants as well as entertainment venues such as Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, a Cinemark movie theater, Dave & Buster’s, and the casino.
Neighboring Hanover is a popular shopping destination, home to the Arundel Mills shopping mall and several shopping centers. It is also a popular nightlife destination, home to Maryland Live! Casino.

Property Ratings at The Village at Elkridge
I like so much good services for living very quiet
I live close to the forest. The first 8 months seems to be great. But when spring/summer arrived. Everything went into a downward spiral. I have a infestation of mice in my apartment. I called the leasing office multiple of times to handle the situation. This has been going on for months and now I'm moving out. Leasing agents are wonderful. The Maintenance staff is lazy and horrible. It took weeks for my garbage disposal to be fixed when I first moved in the apartment. And now Maintenance, the exterminator hasn't fix issue which has been an on-going issue for over three months.
We have been living here for the last three years and nine months. The management is very courteous and efficient. The apartments are reasonably laid out, with fitted-in laundry facilities. Maintenance calls have been responded within a short period of time and done to our satisfaction. We've always had good neighbors and the place is fairly secure.
Appliances are always breaking. When I say always, I mean always! Maintenance team doesn’t answer calls and the customer service is OKAY. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything that’s going on above you. We’ve dealt with ant, mice and roach problems. Look for another place. Don’t say you weren’t warned. Lol. They even had to change the name of this place because of the reviews.
No one is in the office to answer calls, I’ve had many issues since we’ve moved in and they have never addressed them, it’s awful. Apartments are small, things falling apart & neglect by management.
Mice Is problem and management hasn’t done anything. They have very poor knowledge. As maintenance team. They can’t fix anything. The mice problem there was in this apartment but they still hasn't warn me or do something. If I knew I would move to here. I met some people and they have the same issue. My daughter got affected very badly. She can’t go to her room alone. And when she hears some voices she scares. Many nights I woke up for to catch mouse. There are many apartments around this location and price is same. Also this one is very small size.
I moved into The Point at Elkridge for my very first apartment and I've been in love with it since. You never have to worry about going to the laundry mat because TPE has in-home washer and dryers. All appliances are modern and up-to-date. Everything is so close and convenient. Neighborhood is very quiet and children can play at the center of the community at the park. The community also has a tennis court and a dog park.
Really tried to love this place. Moved here almost 2 years ago, due to the location, price, and reviews, but it hasn’t been easy living here. The first few months, the leasing office would loose our cashiers check and wouldn’t tell us until 3 weeks later that rent wasn’t paid but would stick a court notice on our door and add late fees (attorney fee, late fee, etc). When we would call they would say “please disregard that”. We have to constantly be sure to get reciepts of our cashier checks because they loose the checks. Cannot pay online because there’s a fee when you use a credit card... my husband had his windows busted out of his car. We had to switch apartment buildings because the walls/floors are SO THIN and there was a family but kids who moved above us that would run around late (please keep that in mind if you are thinking of moving here) you can HEAR EVERYTHING. So we switched to a top floor but had to pay 500$ transfer fees and extend out lease to 14months (which we were told but that is my fault for not reading the new lease) but now you can still hear the neighbors tv below. NO ONE picks up after there dog here. Neighbors smoke week out on the porch and in the hallways. Washers and driers are so old and fragile and VERY small. And now we’re starting to see ROACHES and other small bugs that look like ticks/bed bugs. My husband and I are always at work and when we come home, this just dosnt feel like home. Not a lot bothers my husband (everything bothers me) so for him to really not like this place either is a good reason why I cannot wait to move out. It’s just not worth the headache. There’s a lot of negative but the pros are: route 1, updated appliances, gorgeous picture windows, and it’s dog friendly.

I have had mice problems in my apartment for over two weeks. My friends had the same problem in the same community a few weeks ago. He told me the management did not care about the problem that much in the first place even though his wife is pregnant and he has a little son. So they eventually had to move out. Now, we do have the same problem.I talked to the manager several times so far. She sent the pet technician to set traps and seal some holes as well as search the apartment, but the problem still continues. I just caught another mouse two days ago. I don’t know how many mice are living in my home. Unfortunately, none of the treatments done by the management office worked so far. My wife and I are not comfortable to live in this home anymore. We stay at the friend's house sometimes. We even couldn't use the kitchen and living room. Our life has been ruined. 3 mice have been caught by the traps that I placed so far. I was shown another apartment but that one has the same problem that there are two holes in there!
Being New Yorkers we hoped to find a great place to live when relocating to Maryland . After a long search we discovered Windsor. This is by far the best place to live in Elkridge. The community is peaceful. Management and staff are very efficient and work hard to keep the property immaculate. Any concern is handled promptly. If I decide to return to Elkridge, I definitely know where I'll be. Windsor, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!
Place isn't bad. Its gotten worse since we first moved in, but maitenance is quick with work orders and it's a decent place overall. Its hard to find pet friendly apartments with washer and dryer in the unit However, if you are military and get orsers and need to move out early, they will try to charge you "military concessions", which is against frederal laws. We had to talk to legal to get it straightened out. Now they are trying to get that money from "damages", after saying during the inspection that the place was in really good shape when we moved out. Very shady stuff going on in the office of this complex.
I love my apartment complex. I have never lived at a place where the property management has renter appreciation activities.
My apartment is reasonable for the area; however, a little on the small size for the price range. No major crimes in three years. Large dogs are allowed.
