Property Ratings at The Village at Heritage Court
The Village is still a nice new complex. I've lived here for nearly 3 years. It is located on I-15, the apartments with east, south, and west exposure have to deal with the freeway noise, the south and west with the sun blasting in all afternoon. North exposure has a nice view, but is cold in the winter. There is scanty insulation between floors so it's freezing in winter and hot in summer, making utility bills high. Also causing problems with disturbing noise from an apartment above. Very costly to get internet, cable and phone service. The best manager and her husband left. Now there is an absent manager, supposed to be here 1 to 5 pm Monday thru Friday, which got bumped to 1:30 to 5, then 2 to 5 pm, currently with no posted hours because she might not be able to make it. Most of the time she doesn't make it. Maintenance is handled by a stubborn angry punitive man who gets even if someone crosses him. Both management and maintenance have made it clear that assisting tenants or any involvement in tenant activities are not their responsibility. There are meetings that stress discipline and obedience lest we create work for them; they're busy and don't have time. It's all about their convenience with virtually no incentive for the tenants. The Village at Heritage Court has shifted from a really great place to live to a punitive hostile environment. The amenities such as community room, big screen TV, library, garden, computer room, etc. are still here; using any of them involves squabbles among tenants fighting for control. If I could give minus stars and still write this review I would do so.
I live in a 1 bedroom that just open up end of September 2013. so everything is brand new ref., stove and dishwasher. Kitchen has lots of cupboard space, It also has an island to work plus more storage. Living room is perfect size. The bathroom has the perfect shower, it's probably the best shower I've ever had. Bedroom has a closet that has shelves for towels or sheets. this apartment complex is for 55 year old or older on a fix income. We have an exercise room, laundry room on each floor (3 floors), a multi purpose room with big screen TV with the big couch that wraps around, computer room, kitchenette, and tables for meeting or family affairs. There's a sitting room with fireplace and shelves for books to read. We have the best manager and her husband is the maintenance. If we have a problem they answer right away and take care of us. We also have a patio area with tables and chairs and barbeque grill. Also an area for gardening. this is the best place for seniors to live,
