Situated on a peninsula of Lake Wylie along the shore, the area of Lake Wylie, despite being in South Carolina, is actually considered a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina. This place is a popular getaway spot for many, as it has a very active water sports crowd. Lake Wylie (a man-made lake) is the oldest lake on the Catawba – and first built by a dam near Fort Mill in the early 1900s. In 1925, it was rebuilt and now has over 300 miles of shorelines.
Charlotte Premium Outlets are at your fingertips when you live in Lake Wylie. The River Hills Country Club is the go-to place for tee time, to lounge poolside, and dine on exquisite meals prepared by a master culinary chef.

Property Ratings at Village at Lake Wylie
The staff is the most beneficial attribute of the Village at Lake Wylie, because they are very helpful, kind, patient, considerate, understanding, and genuine. From getting locked out, to having a water leak, all the way to having financial trouble, the staff team long with maintenance team has never failed to have my back, and make my experience living here amazing. There’s also a gym, that’s very convenient and has everything you would need, and a very nice pool, along with weekly to monthly food truck visits that come right to the Village! There’s only pros to living here, not a single con. I was originally going to move out at the end of my lease because I just wanted to travel, but after the amazing experience I received I’ve decided I’m definitely doing another 15 month lease! Thank you for all that you do!
The staff is so friendly and they are always quick to fix any issues. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you guys
I have lived at The Village since 2019. I am moving out soon (to be closer to work), but overall it has been a very positive experience. Is the rent high? Yes, but it is also high everywhere else in the Charlotte area. Are neighbors loud at times? Yes, but name a complex that doesn't have loud neighbors. Is there trash on the ground at times? Yes, but people are inconsiderate no matter where you live. I have probably been the loud, inconsiderate neighbor myself at times. My only real complaints are minor--the dumpster doesn't get emptied often enough and the parking spaces are smaller than average. Generally friendly staff and a nice trail to the lake put this as a nice place for me...probably the only complex I'd consider if I moved back to Lake Wylie.
We moved Here from Massachusetts. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. Neighbors are very friendly. My dog loves going to the Dog Park. I would recommend anyone to live here.
New and old management awful. Do not respond or probably take care of situations. Can hear everything through walls. Neighbors smoke weed and can smell it in my apartment. Management does nothing about it. Property is dirty. Worst complex I have ever lived in. Don't get excited by the lakeside living it is very small and not worth the misery.
My family and I rented an apartment at Village of Lake Wylie from 2017-2019. I am so displeased with this apartment complex. First, it is very noisy through and through. You can hear footsteps all the way from the street. Second, maintenance is poor. It takes them at least 5 calls or at least 1 week to fix or replace a malfunctioning microwave. Third, the trash compactor is waay to far and doesn't often get picked up. Fourth, too much vermin and trash around the complex. I reported a snake that my son almost ran over in the third floor. Fifth, too much insects in and around the patio. Sixth, not enough storage and the A/C units are so loud. Seventh, there's too many road bumps that can seriously damage your car suspension -ridiculous! Lastly, the parking spots are tight and you will end up getting a lot of dings on your car by the time you've move out. This place is costly and not worth a buck to rent. I would never recommend this place to my vilest enemies. I'd rather lose every ounce of dignity rather than rent from this insect, vermin infested place
Moved in back in July, 2018...Staff has been incredibly helpful...Neighbors are friendly...Quiet neighborhood...Happy to be here!
Great place to go, love it here. Very quiet place and the people make is easy to live there. Beautiful lake view.
