Lakeview Tacoma, also referred to as simply Lakeview, is an excellent option for renters seeking a new home that’s close to plenty of amenities. Lakeview is packed with shopping plazas, restaurants, parks, and service-based businesses. Similar to many Washington locals, Lakeview residents enjoy spending time outdoors, so you’ll find them at Gravelly Lake or Steilacoom Lake right outside of the neighborhood. Seeley Lake Park is another local favorite for its loop trail and view of wetlands. The neighborhood offers mid-range to upscale rentals in a variety of styles including single-family houses and apartments. Lakeview renters also appreciate the neighborhood’s proximity to several major destinations. The neighborhood is convenient to McChord Air Force Base, Pacific Lutheran University, and Clover Park Technical College. Interstate 5 allows commuters to travel to Tacoma, Federal Way, and Seattle with ease.

The prices aren’t worth what you actually get. Most apartments don’t look at good as the ones in the picture and they charge a hell of a lot of them

When I first rented out here, the place was great. But a new company took over and suddenly maintenance was completely unresponsive, same with the main office. I've had to invoke the law several times in order to get them to even replace the washing machine that was busted for 10 days. I have maintenance orders that are not fulfilled constantly and are still unfulfilled to this day. I don't know what the new company's deal is but absolute incompetence would be the description that I would provide. I miss when the old company was still in charge, at least they took care of their tenants. I now no longer have anything good to say about this place. It is in disrepair and the poor service provided is absolutely unacceptable. I would give it a 0 stars if I could.

We are so disappointed to have received this review. We apologize that you have not received the level of customer service that we strive to provide all of our residents. Trash everywhere. In the hallways. In the parking lot. And occasionally used condoms outside your window. I have emailed them twice about it & still no pick up. Cleanliness is a problem. Spiders and their egg sacks all over front door & back patio.
The rent is ridiculously high. Maintenance has not fixed multiple problems since moving in. Work orders are blatantly ignored. The "year around" Pool and hot tub are rarely open. The out door pool and hot tub are often closed during the summer, and when they are open they are over crowded by rude teens that don't even live in the complex. When you call the office, you are transferred to an off site person who can never help you. They give you a "direct" number to an answering machine without a response, ever. They will only give you one parking space, that you pay for, per family. There is rarely enough parking spaces unless you manage to get home from work earlier than most. During the weekends and late at night, people are forced to park in no parking zones. Worst run apartment complex I've ever encountered, and I encountered a lot as a travel nurse. ??
When you go to sign the lease everything looks awesome and they really suck you in to wanting to live here. Fast forward a few months and some of the amenities that you want to use such as the gym or the pool are either broken or closed down. I have been living here since march and it that time frame half of the equipment in the cardio room has been broken. I went in to use the treadmill today and they are literally down to 2 working pieces of equipment. I called the office about it and their response was well unfortunately after hours it does get vandalized quite often. Same thing with their pools, the pool is once again shut down due to vandalism, which seems to be pretty common around here. This place is filled with nasty little teenagers that ruin everything, and the management doesn't give one care about it, just collecting the money from each of their tenants. DO NOT MOVE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Read before signing a lease. Shady & unprofessional. All current & future residents should be aware of their illegal behavior in regards to resident mail and money. A student client of mine didn't get her financial aid check. After a week or so, she checked with school, who said it had been cashed already. After investigating, she found that staff at Seeley Lake had taken her mail (addressed to HER) containing the check (also made out to HER) at the office. Instead of returning the mail, which would be the appropriate step, the staff instead signed & cashed it. Wait what? A check made out to the resident. In a sealed envelope addressed to the resident. Cashed by the staff in her apartment office. You'd think if a business made a mistake with such a large amount of someone's money, they'd want to discuss & resolve things asap. Well, Seeley Lake had a very different response. The office staff did not provide anything in writing, nor would they explain why it happened. Instead they told the resident they'd "contact their attorney & try to have the funds back in 7-10 days." Try?! I immediately called to resolve the situation so that this student (single parent on fixed income) can resume classes & was treated rudely by office staff, who told me the client should "make sure her mail doesn't go to the office." I asked, "Isn't the bigger issue that someone in your office not only opened mail addressed to a resident there, but also signed & cashed a check made out to the resident?" She'd only say "I don't know," "I can't say," & "That person isn't here today," & "Well, we get a lot of checks & didn't look at it." So in summary, if you live here, know that if the office gets YOUR mail by accident & it happens to be a check, they may open YOUR mail, take YOUR check & cash it ILLEGALLY, & then when you ask how/why someone in their office signed YOUR name on a check, they will blame YOU, the resident, for your mail ending up in the office. Since they would not confirm with us on paper that the money that was taken will be given back to the resident (or exactly when), the police are now involved to make sure she gets her financial aid funds back, so hopefully they will not do this again or to anyone else, but still - Be very aware. Lots of shady stuff at this place. You can find better.
I have lived at this apartment community for eight months now and I absolutely love it! The apartment has everything a family needs to live in peace and comfort, including dishwasher , washer and dryer and a beautiful fireplace for cold winter nights. The apartment is affordable and classy. The maintenance is very timely with even the smallest of requests such as a light bulb out in the walkways outside. Honestly I feel so comfortable and at home every time I walk in my door and my wife is just as happy , especially with the bathroom vanity area in the master bedroom. The only problem is we can't purchase the apartment like a condo , otherwise we would so we could stay forever! Love this home. Five stars! Mason Shurtz and family
I swear it seems like every night there is a party, all night yelling and drunks stumbling around. No one cleans up after their pets and rent has gone up by $300 over a year. Aside from all that the buildings are well kept and there is a pool, gym, dog park, and a walking trail.
