An hour northwest of Minneapolis on Interstate 94, Saint Cloud is a charming small city on the banks of the Mississippi River. Saint Cloud State University is central to the community, both literally and figuratively: in addition to the 15,000 students enrolled, the university is one of the city’s biggest employers, and a dedicated fan base supports the school’s hockey program (the legendary Herb Brooks coached the Huskies back in the 1980s and his name now graces the Saint Cloud State hockey arena).
Just north of campus, Downtown is a charming riverside district with a strip of restaurants, bars, galleries, and performance venues along St. Germain Street. The city is home to over ninety public parks, ensuring that you’re never more than a few blocks from trails, lakes, and relaxing green spaces. For weekend excursions into the great outdoors, Saint Cloud is only a short drive away from Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge and Mille Lacs Lake.

Property Ratings at The Village Green Apartments
I move here from the Twin Cities Metro area. I have seen a lot of apartments around St Cloud area. These apartments are by a long shot a little more cheaper and cleaner than a most i have viewed. The housing prices are very high here so most apartments are not so spacious and clean for what they want in rent. I have never had a problem with management in getting things fixed or problems with drugs here. The drug abusers are cleaned out real fast and you never see them again. If people think they can find something better, then go ahead and go there but i found they are worse overall.
I've lived here for about a year now. My car has been broken into 4 times. It's not just mine either. The cops are called here about 3 times a week. There are drug deals going on downstairs. The apartment smells like smoke and pot, everyday. The apartment is running with bugs and there is mold on the walls. Avoid this place at all costs!!
This building is quiet, in a nice neighborhood and is pet friendly. The staff is quick to getting needs taken care of. There is a park down the street with a playground, basketball courts and a pool. If you ever want to grill, there are grills that you can use right outside. The location of the apartment is easily accessible to shopping centers and only a few minutes from the down-town area. For those without vehicles, no need to fear! The bus line is right outside these apartments! If you like the city life without being in the city, this is the place for you.
