Property Ratings at The Village Lofts
Was a good tenant for several years. Claimed that my oven door was almost “falling off”and I wouldn’t be able to get my deposit back. Funny how it wasn’t noted in the walkthrough. Don’t sign a lease here
Was a good tenant for several years. They scammed me out of my security deposit claiming that my oven door was “almost falling off” funny how I had been using it with no problems for years. It was also not noted during the walkthrough! You’d think I’d notice. Don’t sign a lease here. You will not get your deposit back.
Horrible location, no amenities what so ever, the apartments themselves are fairly nice and roomy but very dusty. Noise is bad. Unsafe area lots of car theft
Theres a laundry room on each floor except the fifth floor, which would be okay. However, there's always an issue with the washers, so we all have to play a game of cat and mouse to do laundry. There's always a musky smell and leak. Its been that way for a year and instead of them fixing the problem they tell tenants just not to use specific washers or not to "fill it to much." They have cameras in the building which they use to their discretion. Like I've stated when cars are broken into they don't use them to help you. When people are playing around and pulling the fire alarm for sport they couldn't use it then to help find the culprits. Because the fire chief himself was up and down our floors trying to figure it out with us. Tenants have been out of AC for months, on the hottest days of the year, with no concern of management. Any help given to them had to be forced by the tenants via calls/emails/texts. They could've moved them into that apartment that they use to hide from tenants and use their glass office where tenants are able to know if they are there and if they are able to voice their concerns. (Being as though we can never get a response using any other form of communication.) Now, let's talk about parking. There is a huge parking lot across from the building with handy cap access, BUT if people break into your car? Management, neither the police seem to care. Our luxury car was broken into and there was no help from management which couldn't help the police. Overall just find somewhere else to go until they figure it out. And to top it off, ticks, ticks and more ticks.
new apartments/lofts yes but poor upkeep. halls smell like urine. dog park grass is 3+ ft high. can only imagine the ticks and fleas in there. had an appointment with Cara the property manager. never showed up or called as to why she didn’t show up. a current tenant gave me a tour. the place is hugh. all stairwells. one elevator. doesn’t seem to be convienant
I was one of the first tenants to move into the building and when I did it was not terrible. In the past couple months, I have had countless amounts of debris falling all over me. While I’m in bed and getting all over my belongings!!! I have brought this to management’s attention and nothing is getting done. Also, the tenants who live above me are up in the middle of the night at 2/3am on weeknights!!!! I can hear every move, shake and drop and it is amplified greatly!!! I have had to be home this past week because of illness and let me tell you it has not been peaceful nor relaxing! I found myself sleeping in the bathroom which is not comfortable and I get no reprieve! So frustrating that I pay so much money to live in a place that is worse than a college dorm. Also, if you don’t like your belongings smelling like weed... don’t live here... just speaking the truth as it has become quite infuriating.
They should really enforce tenants to put rugs in their units or quiet times. I hear every single step, conversations, TV, music, dog running and playing, it’s everyday for hours. If quiet is what you want, I recommend getting top floor if you can afford it. Other than that, this place is great for its large windows and space.
I've been living at Village Lofts several months now and my son and I really like it here. There is a really cool game room on the first floor which we like and the rooftop deck was awesome on fourth of July! This building is super pet friendly which is so nice to find. The staff are very friendly, always helpful and the building is kept very clean. I also like that the building is really safe.
Nice place to live I've been here for three months now it's pretty nice you got rooftop access in the building and a community center that's connected to it and they allow pets hair so it's pretty cool you also have a big parking lot to park in and a laundry room anda dishwasher inside your room i would recommend it here
First and foremost I have dealt with Angie(Manager) from day one. She is extremely attentive to detail while immediately displaying genuine care about any issues I and her tenants have a concern with. Also, she makes an asserted effort at all times to communicate any pertinent information to all tenants and guests. Kudos to Angie!! I've been here for five months and very happy with the quality, craftsmanship, and great access to EVERYTHING(Restaurants, Fitness, and I-95 highway. Darrell
Angie is one of the building managers and is absolutely amazing!!!She’s so kind, helpful and most importantly professional. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Total exclusivity with an up to date modern loft experience -Porscha Love
Moved in here last month. The first couple weeks were good, since then its been a nightmare. Clearly they were having difficulty renting the spaces as studios so decided to build a "bedroom" inside some of the units. The space a couple doors down from me was a construction zone eight hours a day for a week. I was never notified by management that they would be working. Now the new tenants have moved in and they have dogs that bark constantly every time the owners leave. Now this morning a crew came in and started heavy construction at 7AM! Again, no notification that this would be happening and frankly it should NOT be happening at 7AM. There is a "Quiet Enjoyment" section in my lease telling me that I shouldn't turn my TV up too loud but management sees fit too schedule constant construction projects. This place likes to portray itself as upscale living but doesn't conduct itself as such. If they don't fix their issues they'll have difficulty keeping renters in the units.
I have now lived here for two months and am starting to regret my decision. First, the building is still “settling” so debris is constantly falling from the ceiling. I need to vacuum multiple times a day. Secondly, the noise is atrocious. I hear everything above and around me. Finally, the employee who I worked with on my lease agreement mentioned a special that would waive two months rent during my one year lease. Now it turns out that special was never eligible for the unit I moved in to and I will be unable to benefit from it. Be wary!
I am really enjoying living here, my room is so nice and cozy. I use the gym a lot which is great. The management is very friendly and they respond right away and I’ve had no issues with them. There is a lot to do in the area around the building and most of it is in walking distance! I am very happy here.
I moved in about a month ago now and have had a very pleasant experience! The building is beautiful and management is very helpful and hands on. Everything is clean and well built. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a studio loft building!
What’s not to love...as you enter your apartment you have a beautiful sitting area, (still under construction) but in the interim, looks gorgeous, a game room, a gym and I’m told that a barbecue area/ fire pit is in the works ALSO my mouth dropped when I saw the finished rooftop with enclosed deck. I can’t wait until it’s furnished and be able to enjoy the sun. Staff was very friendly and showed me beautifully decorated units, which is very helpful in getting great ideas for decorating. I love the open concept, my unit is approximately 730 feet and I have room to sit 10 people comfortably for a dinner, thanks to a great floor design. Love the exposed brick and beams. Very warm and homey feeling.
I was looking to move into one of the units with my girlfriend but got denied. And after reading the first review i got encouraged to share our experience. First of all when we were showed the unit we were told they are considered 1 bedroom even though they are clearly studios. Yes they look nice but don't call it something they not just to charge more rent money. We was told after the unit was shown that our income wouldn't be a problem to qualify after i told the individual how much annually we made. Well that was a lied because management and specifically a lady who i probably shouldn't name later told us we didn't qualify because the calculation needed to be done by actual rent not the discounted rent. I submitted a cosigner, DENIED as well with no answer as to why i got denied. To summarize my experience i would like to say by far the worst we seen. It took days to get answers or any sort of information to help with the process. I spent weeks going back and worth with a specific individual for nothing and in all honesty at the end just horrible experience. We didn't get to experience living there and i am starting to see that it happened for a good reason.
If you want your time& money Wasted ; be Lied to & treated like Trash by “ management “ The village lofts is the place for you. The construction zone aka the lofts are not finished . if there’s a floor above you, make sure u have an umbrella 24/7 at all times because the Ceiling Downpours Sheetrock whenever the person above walks . Unfortunately I can upload videos/pictures to prove my words. If I could give zero stars I would !!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME !!!
