A charming historical town located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Boone was named after the famous explorer and pioneer, Daniel Boone. Home to Appalachian State University, Boone exudes a lively college town spirit while retaining the ruggedness of its pioneering past. Boone is also regarded as one of the best outdoor destinations in the Southeast, equipped with endless vistas of the High Country.
Renting in Boone allows you to explore an outdoor wonderland, whether you prefer to go fly-fishing, canoeing, zip lining, white water rafting, black diamond skiing, or cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway. Residents enjoy a strong sense of community in addition to plenty of natural beauty, crisp mountain air, farm-to-table restaurants, antique stores, and museums in Boone.

Property Ratings at The Village of Meadowview
This place is absolutely ridiculous and their employees in force absolutely ridiculous policies. After putting pumpkins in front of my door for Halloween I was sent an email the next day that said that I would be fined $100 if they were not removed later that day. After moving out because I couldn’t stand their policies, I got hit with a move out packet that had absolutely ridiculous charges. There was a stain on the wall that even after they repainted the apartment was still visible and they charged me for that. I was also billed for brand new blinds because according to the front office they were dirty. Now does that make sense? I don’t think so. I will never plan to live here or recommend this complex to anyone. They do all renovations during the school year so while you are in class they are having contractors come in and rip up your entire apartment, so if you end up living here I hope you don’t expect to be happy or have privacy.
I've lived at the Village of Meadowview for two years and it's been great until it was put under new management. It started going downhill during the renewal period. A "tier system" was put in place (which the residents were uninformed about beforehand). This means that for the first people to resign, rent was significantly decreased while it would be increased for people later on. In the new lease it also states they could place someone in your bedroom or move you to another apartment for any reason, with or without informing you. Maintenance has also come into my apartment several times with no prior warning. The internet was out for over 24 hours during the school week recently. If you have a pet, they will charge you $100 with no warning if you don't pick up pet waste. I always try to ASAP, but we are all human, not always in the position to pick it up immediately.
Yeah, the surely are an apartment complex. They work hard and there is always cold air, which sold me on renewing my lease. And they have heat when I need it.
Village of Meadowview is the ideal place to live at in Boone. It's reasonably priced in rent and I love that I pay one set price a month rather than having to keep up with the electricity bill, water, gas, etc. It's conveniently located and is within a short drive of many things in the town. One of the many things that I love about living here are the many things going on in the office during the week. It's convenient with my busy schedule to swing by and grab lunch or breakfast whenever there is food in the office. The office staff is always super friendly and willing to help.
These apartments are really nice for the price you pay. They're spacious and the views are breathtaking. Management is friendly and willing to help. The free 24 hour printing and gym are a great resource! My only complaint is that parking here is not always fun. The parking spaces towards the visitors lot are so small that I often have trouble getting my car to fit in the lines. Other than that, these apartments are really nice!
Village of Meadowview are super nice apartments for the price you pay. Staff is easy to get along with and the amenities are great!
I have really enjoyed living at the Village of Meadowview this year. Great location in Boone. Maintenance responds really quickly to maintenance requests and
I would not recommend this complex to parents of ASU students. Its late policy is intended to generate more revenue with only a 4 day grace period. Rent is due on the 1st with a $39.50 late charge if not paid by the 5th, which is per renter, and could amount to $118.50 monthly. When I received my check back in the mail and discovered that the address was written incorrectly, Meadow Ave instead of Madison Ave. I immediately called the office to say another check would be sent right away but requested they excuse the late fee this once since we had a problem setting up the bank draft. They would not and the staff was rude and condescending. When I asked for instructions on how to pay on line I was told that only my 19 year old was privy to that information. It did not matter that I was the guarantor for the lease with my credit on the line. The apartment itself is cramped, old, far from town, with cheap fixtures, old low grade appliances, and one of the more expensive in Boone! Many of the apartments have no view but of the building in front of it. The parking spaces are incredibly small, steep and extremely difficult to maneuver. Avoid at all costs!
Property Manager at The Village of Meadowview, Responded To This Review
We apologize for any miscommunication you felt occurred during this period; however, unfortunately we are not able to waive late fees as stated in the lease. In regards to the online account, the resident is the lease holder; therefore we are only permitted to release access to their account to them specifically. Their account information is given to them upon move-in and they are welcome to share it with their guarantor if they choose; however, we are not legally aloud to do so. Additionally, 11 of our 12 buildings do have a view of the town of Boone. Our appliances are up to date and ensured to always be in working order by our exceptional maintenance staff, so we apologize that you felt otherwise. Lastly, we are located at 304 Madison Ave. Boone, NC 28607, exactly 2 miles from campus, approximately 1 mile from the Boone Mall, and approximately 1 mile away from Walmart and it's surroundings.
If you're looking for a place that looks over a beautiful little town then The Village is the place for you. It sits on a mountain side overlooking the town of Boone NC and the view is second to none. I wouldn't live anywhere else in Boone, the staff is nothing but helpful no matter what the issue is.
Moving in to an apartment can always be scary but here at the Village of Meadowview its amazing. The apartments are all wonderful from the smaller ones to the large, they all have a very cozy and home life feeling to them! The staff that work here are all wonderful and the amenities are so much. The amenities include a gym, recreation area, and clubhouse! Its all right here at your apartment and the bus line comes right up into the apartment. The views over the town are amazing and just one of a kind! If you need a place to live you should really try and live here for its just as amazing as possible!
The people who work there are very helpful and friendly, yhey all have that Appalachian state vibe. It can get noisy and if you're in a gurage in the winter the snow gets piled up infront so you can't get out. You do get free 24hr printing and gym use though which Is pretty great.
The view from these apartments is breath taking, over looking the town of Boone every day is absolutely amazing!
