Property Ratings at The Villas at Devils Glen
It is just the right size for me and my two cats. When something needs done the maintenance comes and takes care of it. The office staff is kind and caring. An example of this is when the laundry card machine was broke, they provided change to use the coin operated ones. I moved from Ohio to be near my daughter and found the Villas, which is near her house.
Moved into the Villas at Devils Glen a week ago. Office staff and maintenance have been amazing and helpful. I had an issue and it was fixed immediately. Great place for everyone to live in an amazing location.
I have to disagree with the post from 10/5. Since the new ladies took over the office in late/July - early August, things have improved drastically here. I am so happy they finally have staff that care about the residents and resolve problems efficiently and effectively. The door broke on a Sat/Sun evening, and was fixed first thing Monday. Maintenance is also very friendly! Everyone who now works here has always been pleasant, friendly and caring when we have crossed paths. There are also so many things near by for people of all ages. I would highly recommend!
I wish I would have read the reviews before I moved in. We’ve been here almost 5 months and the office staff has not stayed consistent at all. Now, the current staff is rude and inconsiderate and has no compassion for residents. We’ve had countless problems since living here and have had absolutely NO help or apologies from the property management. Just recently, the building was broke into and the front door is currently broken. They deny everything negative and just desperately try to defend themselves instead of apologizing and trying to help. Rent is cheap for location but it’s cheap for a reason. So cheaply built. I do not know one person living here that hasn’t had problems. There is little to no counter space and/or cabinet storage. If you have an issue, don’t expect it to be fixed in a timely manner. Needless to say, I cannot wait to move out of this horrible place.

Living at the Villas is so convenient. It is a very diverse community with nice neighbors. On-site management staff that are very accommodating. We have clean laundry facilities. An elevator to make moving about easy. A community room for family and friends gathering. Grilling patio with fire pit for relaxing. Crystal clean pool for summertime fun. Exercise room to keep in shape. And so much more. Cozy living in this multi cultural building is home.
The pictures look wonderful and the location would attract anyone, but they are NOT what are shown. Poorly built... our front door knob falls off weekly, the shower from upstairs leaks into our vent and onto our bathroom floor and have yet to be fixed (reported 6 months ago), the cabinets are falling apart. TERRIBLE management... disrespectful and need an attitude adjustment, think that they are better than everyone, and have no desire to help you. Snow removal is not existent... good luck getting out of the parking lot if you don't have a truck or SUV because no one does the snow removal, side walks are NEVER salted so you better have fantastic balance, and people carry shovels in their trunk so they can dig themselves out since there are no snow plows that go through. We cannot wait for our lease to be up so we can move out!
We have no dogs but we do walk alot and we see alot of dog feces. Tenants that have dogs don't pick up after . They should be fined . We always report who it is and they have camaras to view the crime. MAYBE THE CAMARAS DONT WORK. When they have false firealarms that tenant should pay the fine especially when they are caught on Camara and evidence from firemen. And yes the floors are very thin we can hear the kids running down the halls and above us. Been reported and they say they're going to talk to them and it gets worse. It's a shame that a few new tenants that don't follow rules makes the building management look incompatent. We love it here!!!!Maybe they should not except dogs anymore. It's really a beatiful place and the staff is great. They do fix things when reported .
Place is overpriced, with no closets and bad floor plans. This however was at least doable when the management use to be at least friendly and helpful. Now however you'll have to deal with the new management, which is not only incompetent but also rude and disorganized. Think the girls on the office need an attitude adjustment and a course in how to run an apt building.

Have gotten eviction notices because I "Didn't pay the Pet Deposit for my cat", go down to talk to them and it is in their records that I did. Cost for anything that breaks in the apartment is ridiculously high, wish I could fix things myself. Don't seem to really care about the residents as much as they care about the money they are receiving from them. I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND any college students to move in here, their location is the only good thing they have to offer. The pool in the summer isn't cleaned regularly and made my friends and I feel slimy when we got out of it. They offer the rooms at a higher price than they were built for, not only are they small but they are also cheaply built. My roommates closet completely collapsed on her when she had hardly anything in it. When they went to fix it they said it was happening a lot lately don't worry about it. The walls are thin and you can hear everything above you. When they did an inspection they walked in the living room said you are good and walked out, How do they know if people are taking care of the rooms you are about to move into if they don't take the time to look while they live there. Not worth it.

As we strive to make everyone's living conditions a pleasant and enjoyable experience here, we cannot always do so however that is our goal. If any resident has a complaint the management is trying to accommodate them as best as we can. We do sometimes have to charge a resident for items that break however we do not inflate the costs. We have annual inspections to verify that all things are in good working order and test all items needing to function on a daily basis. We encourage residents to come in and discuss any issues that residents have while living at The Villas.
The front office workers are very disorganized and told me I didn't pay rent 3 different months when I actually did. I had to get copies from my bank to prove I paid because the Villas didn't document it correctly. The hallways smell horrible because there are no windows to vent them. There is absolutely no storage, no pantry, no linen closet. Not even I drawer big enough to put a silverware tray organizer. You can hear every step the person above you takes, drawers they open and toilet flushing. Very cheap.

We not aware of any rental ledger issues. If you are referring to an issue before our company took over, we are very sorry for that, but we have standards in place to verify rents being paid and would not need any further verification. In any apartment living there are things that can't be controlled with noises from other residents. However, If anything is excessive and we are told about we do address all concerns is a timely manner.
I absolutely love living here. They have everything a college student would want from free tanning a pool and hot tub a fitness center plus they do roommate matching! I will definitely be staying at the villas for a long time. The apartments are very nice and upgraded and super affordable. You even get your own bathroom! Love love love the villas!
