Jacksonville is gigantic. At nearly 900 square miles, it is by far the largest city in the contiguous United States, in terms of geographical area. The landscape is so vast and varied that you are almost certain to find any kind of environment that suits you. From the high-rise buildings downtown to the marina condos along the river to the suburban neighborhoods farther from the urban core, your apartment rental options in Jacksonville are nearly endless.
Jacksonville is never short on leisure activities. The dining and entertainment offerings are top notch, from the bustling nightlife in downtown to the upscale shopping at Saint Johns Town Center and everything in between. Football fans will feel right at home in Jacksonville as NFL Jaguars games tend to draw big crowds no matter how the team is doing. The Jags’ home field has also served as neutral turf for the annual University of Florida-University of Georgia rivalry game each Halloween weekend for decades.

Property Ratings at The Villas at Marsh Landing
Firstly, these are not apartments but condos that the majority are owned by the person living here. Secondly, these are by far the best condos at the beach for the money. Very private. The reviews are correct in saying that this is an “older” population. This is not for young renting party kids. The board has also changed hands since these reviews were written. I and most my neighbors have lived here 15 years. It’s wonderful!
The people that run the management company and those on the board of the HOA are the rudest people EVER! They think they own the place. The HOA fees are high. Landscaping is a joke. Parking is extremely limited and they absolutely love to tow vehicles
I have lived at the Villas at Marsh Landing for about seven months and the HOA here is the rudest entity I have ever encountered. I have lived in HOA communities growing up and as a young adult and have never encountered anything like this one. My roommate and I are both young Teach for America volunteers in Jacksonville and are clean, respectful neighbors. The HOA woman has been rude to me each time I've encountered her, including right when I moved in and literally just went by her office to ask her a question about a remote. They left an extremely rude note on a receipt from one of my boxes crammed into the slit on my mailbox because I placed the empty box in the dumpster because the cardboard recycling bin was full, telling me not to take up space in the (obviously large) dumpster with my box. They have my phone number and license plate number and have called me to ask me to move my car before because they had to do work on a pipeline under the parking spot. However, one evening my car alarm was going off and instead of calling me to let me know or knocking on my door, they had my car towed and I had to pay to get it back on a Sunday night before work. They managed to find a way to serve us a noise complaint the literal one time we have had more that two people over on the weekend. It also took them an entire month to repair the dry wall after our upstairs neighbor's water heater leaked through our ceiling and it molded!!!!!!! They are also constantly doing inconvenient maintenance. We are surrounded by a ton of older people who have never been nice to us, in fact they've been rude, and who have far too much time on their hands. I wouldn't recommend living here simply for the atmosphere-it feels that abrasive.
This apartment is ok. The place is nice but paper thin walls, old neighbors and not much parking. Also there are so many rules it is ridiculous.
