My wife and I moved here about 2yrs ago and we have loved every second of it! We even switched from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and management was so easy to work with!

No matter what the issue is… big or small the office manager/office was NEVER helpful. They are very rude regardless of situation. Also, expect fees and a continual increase in rent despite no real improvements. The property would be much better off with a complete restructuring of management.
Increase your rent every single year, without making any actual improvements and the property is covered in dog poop and they don't do anything about it except ask you to spy on your neighbors. Add fees for anything they possibly can.
The first year after I moved in, it was so quiet and peaceful, I thought I had finally found a nice place to live, but since some neighbors moved in with their loud big trucks and motorcycles, it has turned into hell. Apartment management here is very concerned about appearance. Nothing can be placed in front door or on the balcony. Not even a plants or a Welcome sign. If you put up Christmas decorations after New Year's you will be notified. However, they will not help you with noise. Noise should be the most important thing for an apartment.
Lived here from June 2019 to October 2021 in a 2nd floor one bedroom. It was perfect for me. It was reasonably priced, especially for only having one tenant before me. Area is quiet, but being just off of Fort Henry/John B Dennis makes it easy to move around the Tri-Cities. Has a small but usable gym and dog park. Pool is too small for adults but can be good for kids. Cons: Staffed clubhouse hours are during the day and weekday only so it can be difficult to get a hold of someone. Also, move out can be a hassle as they will ding you for repainting even if you have lived in the apartment for 2+ years. Overall: Best apartment I ever lived at. Wouldn’t have moved if I was staying in Kingsport.
I lived at Riverbend for a little over three years. They became my extended family. The area was always clean. Maintenance was always on top of all repairs. The staff always willing to help in any situation. The apartments very well maintained. It is a great place for pets to walk or enjoy the dog park. It is a quite place. I never had any problems. My dog and I visit from time to time. I would highly recommend Riverbend, I don’t think you will find a better place to call home.
My elderly parents were placed here by insurance after their house burned as part of the temporary accomodation allowance. Reconstruction of their house took longer than expected and Riverbend agreed to extend the lease on a month-by-month basis, and did so for several months. Then, they decided to stop and kicked my parents out. My folks had to find storage for the things they had accumulated and go back to a hotel for the final two months it took to finish their house. This was undue extra stress on top of an already very stressful time. But that's not the worst part. The worst part was management's attitude. They would not even discuss the matter with me or my Dad, instead hiding under the cloak of some contrived contractual non-disclosure obligation between them and the placement company serving on behalf of the insurance. I could understand if they wanted to rent out my parent's unit to someone who was willing to sign a long-term lease, but they would not even consider putting my parents in one of the other units that was available. Just pure obstinance and heartlessness.
I love my home at River Bend! I have lived here for a year and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. The property is very well-groomed and has many amenities available for use. The pool and fire-pit are two of my favorite! I love that this property is also so pet-friendly. The waste stations set up all over the property are so convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am always greeted with a smile and genuinely helpful assistance when I go into the office. I look forward to coming home each day and enjoying my space at River Bend.
We have been here for 3 months and have already put our 30-day notice in! DO NOT LIVE HERE! The maintenance staff DO NOT respect your space and the managers say nothing to them. I work night shift and asked for the sink to be fixed around 2:30 pm (when I'm awake), I even had the manager put the request and the note in for me! At 10:30 am the next day, a man tries to force his way into my apartment! He took his full body weight and was slamming himself into my door to gain entry! I woke up terrified and screamed down that I was coming to the door, but he kept throwing himself against the door. After he did this 3 times I oped the door and it was maintenance! After telling the manager of this Inappropriate behavior and unprofessional action, all she said was "you put a maintenance request in" Do yourself a favor and avoid this place for your own safety!
Lived here for two years. Realizing that this is a low-income area, my expectations were set going in. There a not a lot of options in the area that are new construction (look at Town Park Loft Apartments, Overlook at Indian Trail, or The Retreat at Meadowview). I think the ownership would expect better service from the management company. They were generally not well informed and difficult to deal with. I would go so far as to say the service provided was a bit lazy. The property itself is extremely cheap construction, they do have end units with slightly better finishings but overall things like the sheetrock have nail pops in all the units.
