Property Ratings at The Vintage Lofts at West End
As a disclaimer, I gave the maintenance team and leasing office every opportunity to fix ongoing issues, in addition to a warning that this review was coming. Let me start from the beginning; I will keep this concise. Upon move in, there were several issues with the apartment, all of which were resolved aside from the dryer. It took a month for them to fix the dryer, and to their credit I was provided $200. However, shortly after there was a window leak and simultaneously and an AC issue. Both issues have now been ongoing for almost 2 1/2 months. You will open a maintenance request, and nobody cares to respond or review unless you raise hell with the leasing office. The issues still remain unresolved. The lack of care for the amount of rent I’m paying is pretty alarming, to the point where I will likely need to withhold rent next month. Around the same time the leak was reported, I had a mosquito infestation, and pretty much got eaten alive for two weeks straight. The leasing office said they couldn’t assist so I had to take matters into my own hands and place traps around the apartment which took a couple weeks to take effect. In short, if you’ve looking for a place to live where you can relax and unwind, there are better options out there. Dealing with maintenance requests that go ignored have become a part time job. I wish I had taken prior negative reviews more seriously. Do yourself favor and don’t move here.

Was here for 3 years and each year it got progressively worse. Management is the worst and the apartment complex is so run down. The gates have been broken for 4+ months. Majority of the doors in the complex that are supposed to be locked are not. Numerous break in the parking garage and homeless people walking through the building because of the unlocked doors. Packages get stolen despite the package lockers. When something breaks, they take extremely long times to repair it. My AC was broken for 2 months until they fixed it. Management is unresponsive and unprofessional, even with the Billing Department & Corporate. I would lease anywhere else for the $$

This was the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. They didn’t even clean the apartment before I moved there. I found hair and hair gel in the bathroom drawers. They didn’t even dust. I had to leave my things in the boxes until they had the cleaners come. It often had dog waste in the hallways or human vomit on the stairs. Then I try to find me for having a second dog, that I didn’t have. They insisted that someone saw a second dog when they came into my apartment. Then out of nowhere they finally dropped it. Though there was no notification of anyone needing to enter my apartment for any reason during that time, which makes me think they came into my apartment without giving me notice.

The worst place where I have lived in my life! The administration is terrible and they don't care about everything. A lot of noise and all the common areas are in very poor condition. Beer cans everywhere. They don't clean up the trash. The pool is disgusting. Do not rent at this place !!!!
Worst place!!! Nothing works. Unethical. Overpriced! Horrible management. Please please save yourself from renting form this company. They didn’t give me my deposit back, with pictures and proper everything they made things up. I also tried to rent my place out early and they said it wasn’t allowed. So when i had to move for a new job they wanted to charge me 2660$ plus other “fees” They kept changing their story. I went online and saw their reviews and wanted to kick myself. They’re so bad! Rent somewhere else even if it’s more. You’ll thank yourself later
This place is a true nightmare. Not only are they late with taking care of damages, service and maintenance requests etc, but there are cockroaches, they charge a “Pest fee” yet there are more bugs here than any place I’ve ever lived. Irony. Do yourself a favor AND DO NOT RENT from them
For starters, my review would have provided the Vintage Lofts at West End in Tampa, Florida with ZERO STARS, but unfortunately, zero was not an option, so regrettably, I must provide them with a one-star rating that is not deserved by any means. The sales office is a joke. Have you ever heard of the expression, "The customer is always right?" Well, with the sales office, "The sales office is always right". The people in the sales office have ZERO, and I mean ZERO customer service skills. Unfortunately, the Lofts are a convenient 0.7 miles away from the University of Tampa. Roughly half of the occupants of the Lofts are college students, making the apartments a scam from the start. They know UT kids want apartments close to campus, so in reality, the product sells itself. Because of this, the sales office has no incentive to do their job correctly. We all pay our rent on time, so they have no reason to make you happy otherwise. Besides showing guests a tour of the apartment complex, I truly do wonder what these people do all day in that sales office. 1. They regularly tow cars 2. Random $5 extra charge for "Painting" 3. Random $250 fine for taking a picture 4. They have screwed up my mail, that IS ILLEGAL 5. "Emergency" maintenance did not know the address of the apartment complex, and didn't come one time after I requested it 6. Hot tub worked 5% of the time 7. Coffee machine broke all of the time 8. Gate to the garage would just stop working 9. One burner of our stove wasn't working and they tried to make us buy them an entirely new stove 10. Everything in the gym is broke 11. Dog poop everywhere, don't go barefoot in the dog park 12. Trash, throw up, even dog poop and pee are in the hallways Lastly, which is very important, make sure everything is in writing because you know the sales office of the Vintage Lofts at West End in Tampa, Florida will try to screw you in any way possible if what you say is not in writing.
Office staff Joel told me visitor parking is 3rd floor ramp and above. Then they towed my rental car from the ramp when my car was being serviced. They must have a deal with the tow company! Tell you your guests can park on the ramp and tow your car. No hot water, hallway lights out, safety buzzers don't work. Save your money. Rent some place else! Unless you like your car and your guests cars towed constantly. Then by all means rent here!
