Founded in 1651 by Dutch colonists, Flatbush is a historic community in the heart of Brooklyn. Nestled immediately south of Prospect Park, Flatbush’s active community can easily access walking trails, enjoy lakefront picnics, and visit popular attractions like the Prospect Park Zoo, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Flatbush is home to a few historic attractions itself, including Kings Theatre, a landmark theater with an ornate interior that hosts concerts, performances, and other events.
Flatbush is a sprawling urban district and is one of the borough’s most diverse neighborhoods. The architecture, culture, and community can’t be beat. This lively neighborhood has become one of the most vibrant residential areas in Brooklyn, lined with apartments, condos, and townhomes that range from affordable to upscale. There are abundant subway stations around the neighborhood, along with big-box stores, grocers, retailers, restaurants, bars, and more.

Property Ratings at The Vitagraph
This is wonderful and warm place to live full of so many great people and families. You could see and hear the joy of each child that live here as they enjoy many of the amenities for kids.
Recently I am very unhappy with the maintenance. They do not take me seriously. They come whenever they want. I do not understand why they can’t coordinate a time to come and see the problem
We are having a great time at this apartment. We are on our first year. We just renewed a two year lease and honestly will continue to live here as long as possible. Everyone is great and wonderful.
Since I’ve been here, I’d like it a lot. The neighborhood is good nice people around clean building. They’re on point on everything in the building, loving people around.and my kids love it
You are mostly dependent on the Q train if not having a car, which means if commuting will need to transfer to the subway and takes around 45 min to get to most places. Usually things get done in 1-2 days when requested through the built app. Gym is ok, might need more equipment. Rooftop grill cleaning is on the residents. You are allow to print at the business center which can help if you are in a hurry after hours and not having a home printer
All the ice makers in the buildings don't make ice. I wasn't told this until I moved in. Other than that not a bad place to live. A very quiet neighborhood.
Lots of pets! Very nice. Beautiful outside and great amenities. The doormen are great too. The neighborhood has some nice stores around too for needs.
Just started living here but I can already tell the community is beautiful. The amenities enable us to communicate and socialize amongst each other. Plenty of dog friends and cat owners!
I love the building. My kids are happy to live here. A lot of fun stuff and events to do here clean nice people. and my kids love the playground
Love this residence and management are always available to help. Clean and quiet building . Will sign another two year lease Very family friendly environment
The building is beautiful and staff is pleasant. The apartment is super lovely and spacious, and viewing of the courtyard make it feel like oasis. Love my neighbor. Love it here:)
Very clean, loving people in the building. i’m so happy and excited my kids are happy and comfortable. very fun events, they having in the building
I am a current resident at Vitagraph and extremely disappointed with the management. All the concerns and issues are being simply igrnored or their reply would be ‘get the door pillows!’ The elevators make a very annoying sound and stop on every single floor every weekend and holiday. The noise is loud, disturbing, and nonstop. Before moving in noone warned us that this was going to be the case every weekend and holiday, not anywhere on the lease it mentions that as well. I have two children and none of them can sleep well because of that. I have never seen a building that does this kind of stuff and it was a big surprise when all of a sudden they started doing that. I warn every parent and people who are sensitive to noise to not move into this building because you will be disappointed and unhappy after the first week. Hopefully this message gets to the management who just prefers to ignore concerns of the residents.
We have had nothing short of a bad experience here, and it is not at any fault of the property manager or super. The construction of the building is ATROCIOUS, and they cut corners every where possible. The walls are paper thin and dent extremely easy. The floor had no finish and termite holes, but more importantly, maintenance side: our kitchen sink leaks on a consistent basis, and has now had to be fixed 3 times over the last month. We had our third washing machine installed today after 5 months of living here, the gym is not at all what it was advertised to be (pics showed Pelotons, not happening). None of the community spaces are complete. The price on parking spots was raised from $250 to $375. Our ceiling is leaking from upstairs and has been cut open for a week now with no progress. The elevator broke with us inside of it yesterday, and we were trapped with no air for 25 minutes until the fire department showed up. As you can see... the list goes on. It’s a very promising building that does not deliver, we are extremely disappointed.
