Even though it sits directly south of Madison, Fitchburg feels miles away. The University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum is on the north end of the city, along with Capital Springs State Recreation Area, giving the city a wooded, suburban appearance. The south end of the neighborhood features rolling farmland, adding to the pastoral feel.
When choosing a Fitchburg apartment, be aware that the north side, closer to Madison, is slightly more populated. The commercial center of the city is along Verona Road, while the south side features more open green space. The city offers more than 700 acres of park space and includes hiking trails, greenways, a community center, and a golf course.

Property Ratings at The Vue at Pinnacle Park
I lived at The Vue for 2 years and I saw a massive decline in quality during that time. They let go of most of the maintenance staff and traded out the office staff, so it has been getting worse. Two years ago, I would have recommended this place to everyone; now, I would recommend avoiding it. I have listed my pros and cons: Pros: - Parking garage is nice and felt safe.. - They only increased my rent by $100 after the first year which I felt wasn't bad given the prices in the area. - They have been quick to respond to my maintenance requests. - They have a low barrier to ending your lease early. - There's a decent amount of storage in the apartment. Cons: - Cockroaches. I dealt with a significant cockroach infestation for months; I have been told the infestation was active as of August 2024. - Very dirty communal spaces. Spoiled food waste and dirty diapers in entryways and stairwells. Most of the time you can't even enter the trash room because there is trash piled up and spilling everywhere. The hallway and entrance carpets are stained, smelly and disgusting. - Snow removal and grass cutting is limited. The first year I lived in The Vue, the maintenance staff did an excellent job, but since they let go of staff the sidewalks are always icy in the winter and the grass is high and full of ticks in the spring. - My A/C and heating broke twice a year at least. All they did was switch out blower motors repeatedly. - Very heavy email communication. Sometimes multiple emails per day from management with all caps with bold, highlighting, and underlining. It's aggressive, they repeat the same rules by email over and over with no tangible changes, and they have obvious disdain for their tenants. - Low professionalism. When I moved out, they wrote my forwarding address on a random piece of scrap paper and then never updated it in the system. 2 months after moving out, I still hadn't received my reimbursement check. - Disrespectful entry into tenants' homes. In my final month living there, I woke up in my bed to see a male maintenance staff member standing in my kitchen saying he was "checking for a leak." No communication from management before or after this event to legitimize it. Another time, I made a confirmed appointment for regular maintenance and the staff disregarded my appointment and entered my apartment whenever they wanted while I wasn't there. Don't expect respect for your time or privacy. Would not recommend!
I have been living at the Vue for a while now and I couldn’t ask for a better place to call home. The community is beautiful and the residents are amazing. The property management staff is super helpful. One of the employees, Artan, made my move to the Madison that much easier and stress free with his services. He was able to recommend places to eat, places to see, and things to do. I could not ask for a better place to call home. I've lived here 2 years and it's gone from a great place to live to absolutely terrible. I'm not sure if management has changed but they have become so rude with their interactions - whether it be via email, phone or in person. They won't hold any packages at their office anymore (cant do hellofresh), they constantly have apartment inspections (difficult for pet owners who have to cage their pets then while at work) and they won't let you store anything more than a single bike in your garage space (what if a family has more than one bike??). There have been a string of break-ins, plus newer tenants are loud and disrespectful. The hallways are filthy and people trash the pool (at 1am might I add) and leave the workout facility dirty. Also, there is never enough parking. My suggestion is to look elsewhere! You can find something A LOT better for less.

Been here for 3 years in 2 different buildings. Staff turns over in the office incredibly fast leading to difficulties and pointing to poor management. Amenities are nice, but rarely all working or open (ex. grills all frequently broken and never fixed, clubroom always locked even when not reserved, treadmills broken contently...). Now when attempting to switch apartments we almost lost a lease because the office refused to send rental history despite us paying on time and in full every month for our whole time there! Lots of empty apartments and lots of bad dog owners, no one cleans up and no one holds the leash.

This probably won't make it on the site but it is an honest opinion from someone that lived there for 2 years. The place is poorly managed and run the elevator breaks down alot and the door system too. There was 2 floods in 2971 in the first year I was there. And when you move out they don't go thru the apt with you cause they want to make up stuff so you can't get your security deposit back or a minimal amount of it . That is what exactly happened to mine. The ammenities are nice except the clubhouse cause it is locked up I don't know why they put it in there if you can't use it all the time. IN the 2 years I was there it was never open. There are a lot of apts around town this is not one to rent . The rent is also outrageous is not worth it .
Everything is decent and new and efficient, but gas and electric rack up since it's central air during the summer and electric stove.
The Vue is a great place to live! Great amenities and the people are really nice. The maintenance staff is helpful, fast and very kind. The cupboards are beautiful and the counter tops rock. There is so much space in my kitchen, it is a dream to cook in! The view across the street is a nature preserve that is just gorgeous and it makes me smile every time I look outside!
We live on the top floor facing the nature preserve, and it's absolutely beautiful. Not much traffic comes through, so it's easy to forget that we're so close to the beltline! There's a great pool, fire pit and grill area facing the preserve as well, and it's all very well-maintained. We had a few hiccups when we moved in that were taken care of VERY quickly. The maintenance team is very friendly and obviously cares a lot about the property. The underground parking is a huge plus, and our kitchen is wonderfully spacious with a huge island. Beautiful place, wonderful staff!
For young professionals in Madison, WI you have struck gold. Look out the window and you may feel as if you're in the countryside with a State Park and an array of cornfields - but for the city dwellers you're within 10 minutes of downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus and the healthcare software company, Epic. The Vue Apartments is a brand new apartment complex with spacious units and state of the art appliances as well as access to a fitness center and outdoor pool. Don't even get me started about the bike trails... they're excellent and just outside your door!
