Cherry Hill is a close-knit community located 8 miles southeast of Philadelphia. Haddonfield, its neighbor immediately south, creates the border between the two towns. With a preserved historic district teeming with Victorian, colonial and federal-period houses, it's no wonder that Philadelphia Magazine chose Haddonfield as one of the best places to live in the Delaware Valley.
The close proximity to the city combined with safe neighborhoods, excellent school systems, and all the charm living in a historic town brings, checking out the area is a no-brainer to those contemplating a move in the area.

Property Ratings at The Waterford Apartments
People who want to come and rent an apartment in this place should think twice, the apartments are moldy and do nothing to solve the problem. They are quickly to take your money but when it comes to resolving a situation in the apartment, they ignore you. My son hasn't even been living for two months on this apartment and both closets are moldy, the heating did not work well, only the living room gets hot, and the two rooms are super cold, the water gets in through the bathroom window and the wall on the bathroom is moldy. I am going to refuel all of this to the Health Department in Cherry Hill. I live here and my apartment and my neighbor's apartment, which are together, also have mold.
Pros: very good price for what you get (if you actually get what is advertised) in the area Cons: EXTREMELY unresponsive office. I’ll address 4 specific situations. 1 - when I signed the lease back in October 2020 I was made aware that the appliances were currently broken are very damaged and needed to be replaced. They stated that they were aware and they had ordered replacements. They said that the new appliances would be there within the month of me moving in which was November 2020. Come July 2021 we still had not heard anything about the appliances and the new ones had never arrived. My husband called them in July and we finally got SOME of the new appliances in August 2021. 2 - when they finally bought the new appliances in August 2021 we let them know that when we moved in the closet door had been broken and no one had ever answered any of our phone calls regarding the situation. They took the door off and said that they would replace it. When we moved out in February 2022 it still had not been replaced. 3 - when we signed the lease in October 2020 we were told that we could go to a sixth month following our first year. This was going to work great for us as my husband is a college basketball coach and that would put us around the time of year when the season would end. When it came time to sign the new lease the paperwork gave no option for a six month lease. We called, left a voicemails, and stopped by the office every day for three weeks. I finally got to a point that we just had to sign a year-long lease renewal because of their negligence. 4 - at the beginning of January 2022 Vanessa nonactive to LA, CA at the end of February. They called to let them now and never got an answer. We wrote a letter letting them know the situation and had to drop it off the mail slot at the office because no one is ever in the office. I stopped by, called, and left a voicemail every day for 2 months with no answer. We wanted to try to negotiate for our security deposit back even though we were breaking lease due to the appliances and closet door situation. It got to the point that it was the last day and we were leaving and I had to just slide the keys into the mail slot at the office and leave a voicemail. It has now been two weeks and we still have not heard back. I’m not even sure they know we are gone considering I got a bill for the month of March - that I will not be paying since we don’t live there!
The area is quite and fairly clean, however slow on repairs. I have a carpet that needed to be seamed up for over a year held together with tape and they never get around to it.
Drove 40 freaking miles up there and no one answers the door or the phone after I MADE AN APPOINTMENT 4 OR 5 DAYS PRIOR. HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT POTENTIAL TENANTS.
I lived here for 2 years (2015-2017) until I was able to buy a house. I was in 36 building. I thought Tammy and Erica in the office were great. Maintenance was always prompt & friendly. The location is ideal; right near downtown Haddonfield, not far from Philly or 295, Cherry Hill school district. All of my neighbors were friendly and the kids were all inside by dark! Lol! I could sleep with my windows open and it was quiet and I always felt safe. I love that you have your own washer & dryer. There's always plenty of parking. In the 2 years I was here, I got all new windows and a new AC unit (all the buildings did, not just me). They really keep the place nice; lawn always mowed, snow shoveled quickly. I definitely recommend this place!
For the price of this place, it's worth it. These reviews are a little harsh. Your electric bill is no longer high in the winter because they switched the heat from electric to gas. The maintenance is great, they show up whenever you need. The updated kitchens are cheap, but they do the job and look good. The convenience of having a washer and dryer in unit is awesome. The only two complaints I have are my loud, rude neighbors (but that can happen anywhere). And when they're in between people renting apartments and decide to "spruce up" the place they do a poor job. My walls are covered in crappy spackling jobs and poor paint coverups. They should take the time to hardwood and give the place a new paint job.
I'm really surprised to see such negative reviews. I just moved here in October 2015, going through a divorce so I'm used to owning my own home. I knew apartment life would be a transition but so far, I'm loving it here. I had some things to be fixed when I moved in and they took care of everything in one day. It's very quiet at night, even when I had the windows open on the weekends. One day, I noticed I was out of hot water and they sent someone the same day. I was just about to call them today because I noticed I don't have a storm window in the bathroom and it's cold. They called me to say that I'm getting all new windows in a couple days! It's a very spacious apartment and very reasonable rent for the area. I can walk to downtown Haddonfield and there's a beautiful lake and park across the street. Also, I haven't noticed and mold or bugs as others have said. I only wish they'd allow pets.
It's not as bad as people claim it to be! I was notified in a timely manor by the office staff and made an appointment and was able to see the property right away! Its an average place nothing special It's great for the price they are asking and the location is great as well!
