This is the WORST apartment complex I have ever lived in; 15 years living in Los Angeles. Not only do they rarely respond to maintenance requests, or mark them 'completed' without coming to our apartment, but my car was TOWED from our private parking lot with NO NOTICE. No phone call to me, nothing. Not only do I pay for the parking, along with utilities and rent that is WAY too high for what you get, but now they tow my car from where I live??? Insane. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. Save yourself the trouble!

I made an appointment to visit using their website. The appointment date was on Memorial day but since it was an available option on the website, one would reasonably assume that they would be offering tours on that day despite the holiday. For the next few days I was bombarded by texts from their text bot asking me to set up an appointment even though I already did. When the day came around, I went to the property and followed the directions in the confirmation email to look for a QR code which I could scan to get a code to get in. There was no such QR code anywhere, just 3 QR codes for resident apps. The phone number on the leasing office door was unresponsive. It did not take calls, it just played a recording to text them which I did to no response (A major red flag was a sign on the leasing office saying not to knock, only text. If they don't want to be bothered by anyone knocking, I can only imagine how responsive their service is to current residents). Another person also came by for a tour she scheduled and she couldn't get in touch with anyone either. While there I asked a few of the residents who were entering and exiting what they thought of the place and no one had anything good to say, validating all of the reviews here. The next day I got a text from their bot asking how my tour was, and a little later, finally got a text back from leasing saying to come another day. If leasing is this disorganized, I can only imagine how resident support is. Between 3 phone numbers, (the number I was told I could text with any questions in my confirmation email, the number on the leasing office door, and the number on google), it took until the day after my appointment to reach a human. Needless to say, I, and the other person who came to visit when I did, crossed this building off our list.

Homeless crackheads get into the garage daily because there is no security and most doors are unlocked or wide open. One pulled a knife on me today in the stairwell when I confronted him shoving stolen packages into a large bag. This building looks nice but it is not safe!

Love living here! Location is great and the building is well maintained. The pool is a nice plus too. Leasing office staff are super helpful and laid back. They helped my find my phone THANK GOD! It's mostly professional young people living here so the vibe is chill and laid back.
SCAM!!!!!!!! Don’t even think about moving here. It was a disaster from the start when they quoted me for one rent amount, I went to apply and charged me for another (400 additional a month) because it was a typo on their end. They have roaches all over the apartment, car break-ins, no security, elevators always down, loud air bnb parties, lag on having maintenance fix things. Their management does nothing. Whenever you ask them a question they don’t give you an answer or the run around. They don’t answer phones, you have to haggle for CLEAR responses. They’ll add additional $$$ to your statements if you don’t pay attention. And just forget that a deposit existed because they will do everything to keep all of your money. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Worst experience ever! A nightmare, an absolute nightmare.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT HERE. My wife and I have been here for 3 years (this is our last). Constant issues. Air bnb neighbors loudly partying at all hours of the night. Elevators rarely work. The laminate flooring is peeling off the ground. My parking spot is literally covered in dead fleas. Rent increases by several $100's each year. Only a couple of the community grills function. The parking garage has no security so cars are broken into all the time and 100's of bicycles were stolen from a "locked" bike storage room. Service request staff are great, which helps because you will need to call them to your apt semi weekly without a doubt. Posting this as many places as possible as this place is horrendous
The building is decent for the price you pay in this area with lots of amenities including a good pool scene and gym. The management staff is friendly and helpful. I've lived here for 2 years and just re-signed for year 3! Walking distance to the Marina, lots of restaurants/shops, and freeway and airport close (without the airport noise).
the issues open building to the public open door policy very welcoming ,keys are being given to transients to airbnb's that MGT is claiming to take care of. two sets of MGT for guests and others for rentals MGT is rude only cosmetic changes outside no security on premises at night cockroaches and bed bugs hard to park, horrible laundry facilities and fraudulent activity on site do yourself a favor don't rent here.

I want to assure you that we do not participate or seek any financial gain from those who deceitfully rent our apartments as a money making opportunity on websites such as Airbnb or similar. It is a lease violation for residents to host their homes in this manner. If we become aware that someone is violating the terms of their lease, we act within the law to remedy the situation. The community is serviced by an outside pest vendor on a monthly basis. We employ porters seven days a week, an evening courtesy patrol and a full time maintenance staff to keep up with the daily duties. We do our best to catch the problems as they occur and appreciate when our residents let us know about any graffiti, homeless, or areas of the community needing attention. Don't bother... Lived here for almost a year and cant wait to leave. If you are in the market for an overpriced community that has no respect for others , this is your spot!! I guess at these prices, people love to live in filth... The property management team here is an utter joke, with the exception of the maintenance staff.

Totally rip off !!! They wanted me to apply for the apartment and asked me for a holding deposit and altough I have cancelled the application within 24 hours and let them know with my e-mail and a phone call, They did not respond in any ways and ended up not giving me my holding deposit back. Stay Away !!! Totally a rip off !! They wont respond you and not give your deposit back.
the worse apartment i ever lived. they cost a lot from no reason
I've been living in this complex for almost 3 years, and in my last lease renewal they were asking 60 days (it used to be 30) notice to terminate my lease . This gives them more time to find a tenant, and your unit will be listed on their website as soon as you hand out that notice. I find this a bad business practice, and contrary to what they said this is not standard among other nearby communities. Other than that, life here is good, but if you are planning into moving here please take a look at the apartment first, (not just at the floor plan) there are a few units you would think twice about moving in, not because they are in a bad state but rather it's location within the building.. You don't want to be living in an apartment without any sunlight or cell service right? That's the case with a few of them that face towards the courtyard.
I like living here, but it's a big inconvenience because I live on the third floor with two children, there is no elevator and we always have bags and groceries to bring up stairs. It's very quiet and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. It's a two bed room in Orange County, CA so the rent is very high and a great struggle for me right now, it would be a blessing to win free rent for a year.
I have been here for a year and a half now. In that year I have had my car broken into once, and three attempts have been made to steal my motorcycle. The last time they did over $1400 in damage to the bike while trying to steal it. Management's first statement every time was to remind me that they are not liable for damages and that there is nothing they can do. Also, with a very high number of pets and very little oversight there is urine everywhere. This place looks great during a walk through but the beauty is only skin deep.
The Westerly on Lincoln is in a bustling neighborhood with great restaurants, shopping and entertainment options within walking distance. A short walk past the Ralph's grocery store lands you on a bike and exercise trail, by more excellent restaurants and steps away from the marina. This is a walker and biker's paradise. The apartment complex has great amenities (pool, large 24 hour gym, business center, entertainment room and tons of outdoor grilling and quiet spaces). We were fortunate to get a newly upgraded unit with stainless steel appliances and modern cabinets/countertops. Even though our unit faces Lincoln, which can cause it to be quite noisy, the community as a whole seems to be fairly quiet. Overall, I would recommend the property to a friend looking for a convenient location in an active community.
I been at The Westerly for about a year now and I am 100% renewing my lease. The renovation they did is beautiful. All of the updates make the place shine. I'm in walking distance to literally everything and I feel like I never leave the West Side anymore because of that. It's right on Lincoln but surprisingly quiet. I've never had any issues here and I can see myself living here for a long time. Staff/ management are great and accommodating. This is my first apartment living on my own and I had high expectations which were definitely met and I couldn't be happier!
