Property Ratings at The Westlyn
Dont rent here if your not looking for something extremely temporary. second night here and i have zero power with no help from maint. landlord special paint, zero maint done to rooms it seems. also no ac if you were wondering. glad im only here for a very short time because this place is honestly disgusting. i made a very poor decision moving here.
The Westlyn is in the perfect spot if you like the river, theater, no car, and the excitement of downtown.
Very convenient , friendly staff and excellent location.
Don't rent here. They have roaches, dirty shared bathrooms, garbage that is filled up on every floor, and illegal activities going on. The best thing about this place is that it's cheap.
It's a vintage building you get why you pay for. Low budget rent, it's under new management, and come here if you need something temporary until a better place comes along.
Only rent if you desperately need a place to live. Very, very noisy. Rude neighbors. Smells like pot all the time. Always some maintenance issues. Trash piled on stair landings.
I really like the old bldg, there's no bugs, the other residents are nice, the staff is extremely helpful at all times, I feel safe and comfortable.
Management does their best to help resolve issues and respond to inquiries on time.
My experience living at Westlyn Apartments for about 6 years has been great. The staff are friendly and helpful and I feel valued as a resident. They keep the building looking great as well and it is safe!
The Westlyn has it all; scenery, downtown activities, and feeling like youre in the heart of Reno.
Beautiful bldg, well cared for inside and out, and a welcoming staff working to keep the facility and it's residents both safe and comfortable in a location providing the best of Reno within steps of the front doors.
I have found all the staff professional and courteous with a touch of cheer. Most of the other residence seem to be Happy, and caring.
Its a very beautiful place just also super hot without A/C
Great place for single people, the retired, or even students. Reasonably fixed-pricing rates, professional, & friendly staff. I love that its a historic building, and its in a great, convenient location. Bus stops practically everywhere, mins from shops, banks, & restaurants. So getting around is a breeze!
The entire staff is absolutely awesome ,our apartment was perfect oh, they moved all our rented furniture in for us did an awesome job all around have already been here for a year and half, moved from a studio to a one bedroom ,gorgeous old building absolutely perfect love this building. staff is friendly efficient and always responds to maintenance issues right away ,give them a perfect 10!!
Overall it's not a bad place to stay in. Studio apartments are small, I personally enjoy the old feel of the apartment, though I know that's not for everyone, and the staff is really nice. The people are also really nice. Maintenance of the public bathrooms could be better, so if people are worried about that I'd suggest a room with a bathroom. Parking could be better. The loading zone is always having cars parked there so that's an issue if you ever need to park near the apartments to unload boxes or heavy groceries.
Its amazing for my first apartment, Im so happy with it, with minor improvements
So far I have had a good experience. The people have been nice and respectful. I've only ran into one problem (accidently locking myself out of my room) and maintenance came to help!
Really friendly staff, and decent room but the building is old and not that great.
I love living here I'm just hoping next summer they open up the grass area so we can use it more often
I really enjoy living at the westlyn Apartments that's why I signed or another 13 months after living here for a year. I believe it to be the best apartment complex in downtown Reno.
We are really Happy here. Its in a great location right next to the river. Cierra and all the staff are awesome. We love our room its very homey and all the vintage lights and moldings and things that have been preserved makes it a beautiful building.
I really love it here I'm in an apartment with a shared bathroom and our new maintenance man is amazing it always smells fresh everything looks good we never run out of anything the office staff is always there they're very helpful the maintenance staff darold and James are always there when you need them I would just like to say thank you to all of them for making my life are very comfortable and safe thank you
1 1/2 block from bus stop, great movie theater across the street with the river and Wingfeild park that has many public Events.
The westlyn has staff that make you feel like you part of a family. They make living here in this apartment feel like your part of a community. It's like a feeling of home. At the westlyn your home not alone is my slogan I tell future residents.
I would not recommend anyone to live here unless they were just starting out and needed a cheap beginner apartment to transition out of once they are on their feet.
Staff is very helpful, right next to the river and movie theater. The rooms are made for a single person, and are somewhat spacious. Fully furnished and great for a college student on a reasonable budget
I absolutely love my apartments, I live at the Ross Apartments, Ross Manor in Reno Nevada. I have lived here since June 1, 2015 I chose this apartment from their website when I was preparing to move from Seattle to Reno for a job. The building is beautiful, the furnishings are beautiful, the rooms and apartments are very well cared for and the staff is awesome! The location in downtown Reno is exceptional, it's in the River Walk district, and across the street from Wingfield Park on the Truckee river. I highly recommend this location!!!! I love this place and I am a long-term resident
