The gates are always open. Intruders are at their will inside. No clean areas anywhere. Roaches. Rude office staff. The only good thing is they attend to service requests in a timely manner otherwise not a good place to call it a residence

This community is consistently having issues with the water! Since living here, mid January, there has been countless water issues (no water). Also, there has been two occasions where the water was off, without giving us a notice. For instance today, 7/10/2024. There has also been a time where the water was out all night, I had to go back to my gym to get a shower and brush my teeth. I DO NOT recommend this community! Who wants to deal with inconsistent water issues?!

This property is clean, the staff is helpful, the apartments are spacious, and the amenities are great, I use the gym every day and save on a membership fee. Super nice property overall!

I have been living in these apartments for 5 months now and have loved them. Moving from another state to this TX heat was ruff but having 5 pools to choose from was not bad. I also liked all the amenities for residents, like the dog park at the property and park across the street. Great for families. If your in this area, check it out!

Out of the few places I have lived, this one has got to be the best!! Both the office staff and maintenance are amazing, especially Enrique and Lee! The manager, Sara, is very involved in the community and makes sure the residents are satisfied!

Ammenities 4/10 New Management 3/10 Last management lead by Sarah was much better. Leasing Agents 6/10 Maintenence 6/10. This complex has major water issues my old building had shutoff frequently...... Location/Schools/neighborhood and people 8/10. New management has implemented new policies and requirements that weren't stated in my lease orginal before I left. Parking, trash, paperwork etc be mindful of what your signing. It's a cool place definitely not the best with management and water issues but everything else is legit. I got more bang for my buck in the same area that's why I moved....

Worst place to live not safe for family. I live here for about three years during my stay we have experienced a lot of stuff. Poor management, snake found in and outside of the apartment and management management doesn't care. All apartment with lot of roaches. Beware they charge you at the end of your stay in order to upgrade their apartment we got our package stolen several time.??

I lived there for 14 months. Very old apartment. The gate, which I paid for on a monthly basis worked only 2 weeks out of the 14 months. Garbage was never picked up though the bill has been paid monthly. Running water is a luxury at this place as the water get shut off twice a week and the record was almost a month without hot water during the cold winter. All they offered was a Target gift card. Maintenance-does not exist. I suffered from mold and dirty air vents, it took them months to come and fix meanwhile I suffered from severe allergies. Because of no running hot water I ended up moving out early which costed me additional $3000 in rent money, yet I kept paying my bills as obligated at the Westside. After moving out, I hired a professional carpet cleaning company and a cleaning company, paid $460.00 and left the apartment clean and sparkling. I have learned that they charged me $90 for carpet cleaning. There was no one I could talk to, or dispute the charge. All emails have been ignored, until I got an email from a collection agency. I am now ready to fight this thing in court and bring up all of the damages I suffered because of this company’s negligence. DO NOT move to this place! There are so much better quality communities! Stay away!

The homes are located in a nice location. Great for families. There is also a park near it. Management has been great during our three years stay. We never had any big issues with our apartment too. I recommend to anyone especially for families.

Always have plunging issues. And roaches everywhere. Plumbing tends to get backed yup in the sinks and management doesn’t answer Thier phones half the time. They send out surveys to hear your opinion and see what they can do but nothing every gets done from it.

A safe, family-friendly community that is constantly maintained, has a convenient school bus stop, and is well located within walking distance to fast food, local restaurants and shopping centers.

Nice location! I loved the landscaping initially; however, now that a lot of the trees and shrubbery has been removed or pruned..,property doesn't have the she aesthetic. Bummer! Leasing Staff is pleasant and prompt with a response the majority of the time. However, I am not a fan of staff entering my unit on a regular basis iif I did not place a maintenance order.
Good community but bad management and worst maintenance!
Very unprofessional. Bugs everywhere no matter how much you clean! They come and "spray" maybe two times a year, if you are lucky but it doesn't make a difference. You can tell they paint over everything. You can see chunks of layers of paint and bugs. Laminated floors have holes. It showed on the website that they have made thousands of dollars in renovations, which i believe is a lie. My A/C went out in the summer and it took them a week to come and fix it. My kitchen sink was leaking and it took them over two weeks and multiple maintenence requests for anyone to come out to check on it. Avoid these apartments if you are able to !!! Would not recommend to ANYONE.
I am a resident at westside from 2018, seen couple of managements changing, the current management is lousy, they take 20-25 days to look into the maintenance issues and that too after 3-4 visits to the office, the most frustrating is they close the tickets without addressing them. This is not just my personal opinion but all also same with other residents as well.
The current management at Westside is kind, caring and committed to providing residents with good customer service. The Westside is a large property and at times the maintenance can be hit-or-miss. The location of the property is the best! So many properties in Plano are located at or near very busy streets. The Westside is neatly tucked into a residential area - this attribute sets the Westside apart from so many other Plano and Richardson properties
The office staff is nice and helpful, however maintenance and the infestation makes living here unbearable.
Wasp & roach infested!!!! Ive made complaints from the moment Ive moved in has my apt deep cleaned having to repack after moving in just 2 months prior and still ROACHES TINY BABY ONE AND HUGE DISGUSTING ONES!
The Westside Apartment Homes is in an excellent location with decent prices for the area and a good size apartment. The staff were very helpful throughout the move-in process.
I came from a different state and I was unable to go personally to see the apartment complex due to pandemic and since travelling from another state. I asked them for a virtual tour and they gave me a pre recorded video. But the apartment I got is far far from what they showed in the video. This is the worst experience I had so far in any apartments I lived in. They advertise very shiny pictures of swimming pools and people blowing bubbles as though they are very happy. The leasing consultants speak so nice and give sugary talks until you sign the lease and then once you sign their nature changes. DO NOT believe the leasing consultants. I had no washer dryer installed and wasn't even told about that when the keys were handed. You open the door of your new home that you dreamt from the video and surprise surprise... No washer dryer, toilet smells like blocked drainage, bugs everywhere, broken microwave, dirty stoves, stinky and carpets, poor lighting, dirty patios and woodworks, bugs and roaches from dishwasher, holes and damages on doors, oil-stained stove burners which smoke when turned on and innumerable complaints which is difficult to write. I feel cheated. Don't get fooled by shiny pictures in their website or the look of the leasing office. You will lose your sleep, health and peace of living 100%.If you are around the area, first visit the apartment before leasing. Student apartments are way better than this one. More over, you feel like elephants or rhinos running above you from the noise you hear from the upper floor apartments. I leased this one because this is a Greystar apartment and I have lived previously in a Greystar property. If you go to complain, they will say the management changed or their maintenance staff changed. It is not worth to live here for the hard earned money you spend for your rent. The uploaded pictures substantiate my comments. A note to the manager and leasing consultants-please do not apologize. I don't need your apologies.
These apartments are old, with patchy work, no insulation, riddled with bugs and slowly falling apart. They are a great starter apartment or just a place to stay while you're in between homes. It's a roof over your head at an affordable price.
Westside has been a good home for us even with the difficulties. I have recommended it to several people.
I do not recommend anybody to stay at this apartment.its never been maintained. The sliding in my room has not been fix for 6 months now.the broken Bathroom wall was not been fix for 5 months now.
Well the maintenance team does an excellent job on work orders, the community as a whole needs a lot of Maintenance work. There are patios where the railings are coming off, I see a lot of wood rot on buildings that isn't taken care of. The pet Park which is absurdly small none of the gates latch and the pet spa is filthy. I won't even go in there cuz it smells so bad.
Extremely disappointed because they are very unprofessional. If you do decide to move to these apartments, good luck ! And hope and pray that nothing breaks or stops working because you will not get any of your problems fixed even if it's a plumbing emergency!
Good location and fair pricing. Dog spa is a great ammenity to have. Neighbors will climb onto your roof to smoke and keep you up at night. Terrible insulation which will lead to $250 monthly heating and a/c bills and burst pipes which take months to fix. Bad roach problem which has persisted trough multiple exterminators. Managment will blow people off and the complex has mediocre communication with residents. Hot water gets routinely shut off for emergencies multiple times every season. Dumpsters regularly overflow and are not emptied as often as they need to be. Multi-million dollar renovations that only went to beautification and painting of the property, not going to actually fix and modernize units. Numerous passive aggresive emails sent to all residents about issues to wont fix the root cause of. Arbitrary paid parking permits even though there is ample empty parking throughout the complex. Multiple plumbing repairs and pipes clogging even after preventative measures.
The Westside Apartment Staff makes living through these stressful times of covid-19 very manageable. Always professional, friendly and attentive!

Very nice and quiet place to live. Right across the street from a neighborhood park and located in walking distance to drugstores, coffee bar, liquor stores, etc.. The staff is nice and respond quickly to any issues. I highly recommend The Westside.
I love it here. I absolutely love my floor plan the move in was super easy.

These apartment homes are quiet and well located. The environment is pretty with trees and landscaping, very clean and lovely swimming pools. All areas are kept clean including the laundry, tennis courts and pools, there are pet areas and even a pet spa. Im enjoying living here so close to the park and nice businesses in walking or biking distance.
The Westside is a great place to live. The staff is very friendly and cares about the tenants.
The halls of the units are rarely cleaned. That would be good. When I he company decided they needed to refurbish my apartment of 7 years they unceremoniously booted me out with no compensation or consideration.
Recieve people wearing masks in the office and follow up rhe requests of residents. Taking long to respond to repairs.
Pleasure living in the Westside Community. Management and their entire team are professional, friendly and courteous !

A nice updated place with good fixtures. Have a few pest issues
Like most apartments these days, the Westside Apartment Homes are built for a temporary stay, not a lasting home. They are too kid friendly, specifically children 3yo and under. Craftsmanship isn't the best, but it's am affordable roof over your head.
Make the Westside your last resort. Rent has increased but we still have wood rotting on stairwells, leaking windows when it rains, roaches and depending on your building loud neighbors who are consistently fighting.
It safe, not noisy, decent square footage for the price and the maintenance response time is good!
I highly recommend Westside Apartments, very nice and peaceful and quiet.
Nice safe apartments with fair price. Location is great too.
