Downtown Indianapolis is a true marvel of American urban design, and is rightly recognized as one of the stylistic gems of the Midwest. The grand architecture of the various government buildings and museums ranges from neoclassical to ultra-modern, creating a timeless and visually stunning environment. Huge monuments and war memorials punctuate the landscape as well – in fact, Indianapolis has more such public tributes than any city in America apart from Washington, DC.
Downtown features a thriving nightlife scene, mainly along Meridian Street and Massachusetts Avenue and incorporating an immense selection of bars, clubs, and live music venues for every taste. The dining is unbeatable, with world-class restaurants of every description within a short walk from anywhere and the popular Food Truck Fridays delivering more eclectic fare during the summer months.

Property Ratings at The Whit Apartments
We are elderly 83 and 92. We have lived here 3 years and have only been rarely disapointed. Our aprtment is great, has lots of storage and rooms are a good size. The floor plan is not good for dinner partys. The balcony is way too narrow. The management exceeds our expectations, work orders are quickly and positively resolved. The only negative is the elevators that are unreliable. The location is fantastic with easy access to everything from a great YMCA, to Victory Field, to Great shopping, to at least 50 good restaurants, 3 Supermarkets, and A Hardware. I have never seen a building this well taker cake of.

It is wonderful to know that the location has been a great convenience for you. Your feedback regarding the elevators has been noted; please feel free to reach out to us at any time.
Don't recommend living here! The apartments are set up nicely with high ceilings and the gym and pool are great. However the leasing/office staff are unhelpful and don’t care about the residents. The worst thing is the parking garage, as cars are broken into nearly daily and they don't care at all! They deflect it as they do with everything. They refuse to even consider any options such as camera or security. There are better options out there where you don't have to pay $125 monthly for parking somewhere with no security. Homeless people have also come in the front when the front door was broken for multiple days. And the office staff were no where to be found and did not care or apologize. They also didn't bother to tell us that the windows were broken recently and boarded up. They have no concern for our safety.
Delay in critical repairs. Front office staff are very rude and incompetent.
I’ve lived here for a year now and can say the apartment is perfect for what I was looking for. I live in a Cherry Blossom model. Construction is pretty much finished which is great! Pool (great view) and common areas are done, dog park has been upgraded. If I’ve had a problem, it’s been fixed in a timely fashion. The office staff has been very helpful when I’ve needed it. Not to mention, great location and a good price when I’ve compared to surrounding apartments with less amenities to offer.
Part 1: Please keep in mind as you're reading this review that at its' current capacity, the building is only 1/4 full. Location: The only reason for 2 stars - great location on S. Mass Ave. Apartment Living Space: Kitchen appliances are okay, nothing great. My dishwasher has worked perfectly thus far; I have heard of some people needing theirs fixed/replaced. The washing machines are an old style of washing machine, but new - not modern at all. Multiple cabinet doors have become unhinged or break. Overall, not the worst and definitely not the best. Common Area: Grade school lunch tables with plastic backed chairs. They have a separate, very small, office space with some nice things like TV monitors and a tea machine. The general common area is pathetic, may as well not even have it. Gym: Not what was promised. Was told there would be squat racks - there is one. To go off an earlier post, you cannot flat bench in it. The set of dumbbells is modest, goes to 75 lbs. We were told there would be a cycling studio - there are two cycling bikes. The treadmills work, sometimes, and there are no guided lifting machines at all. Dog Park: I don't take my dog there anymore. It has been a battle with the management staff from day 1 to implement sanitary regulations for the park. Poo Prints wasn't implemented until we begged them to do it (as much the faults of those who were not picking up their dog's poop). Even still, every time I go it's a cesspool of pee, poop, and potential disease. Pool: First reaction: it's pretty nice, probably the best amenity. Cool view of the city. There's more casual seating (sofas and tables/chairs) than there are pool chairs. I will say this - if this apartment fills all 9 floors, there will not be enough space.
