An incredibly friendly place that encourages those of us with dogs to gather together and enjoy each others company around the pool or cooking dinner on the grills.
The concierge, rental agents and manager were replaced close to the same time. There is no longer a community feeling and staff no longer knows residents. Maintenance is wonderful though. Since the whole first floor is torn up , there seems to be a disconnect between management and front desk. Very disappointing.

Great and helpful staff! I’ve been here over a year and have loved the experience sofar. Grateful for what everyone does here. The pool is nice in the summer and it’s easy to get in and with many different entrances. If you are looking for a place to live in Bethesda, don’t overlook this gem!

My apartment is contracting. We can’t use a public room because of it. But management office prepared alternative room, fortunately.I hope the room will become more comfortably.

Overall the staff is great and even with all the renovations happening it’s pretty good. I am missing the butterfly phone app that unlocks doors without a fob! I wish there was better hand sanitizer stations available!

I am loving the Whitney. The staff have been wonderful and supportive. We love the convenience of the property’s location and the amenities (especially the pool). Our new apartment is such an upgrade from our old building with modern appliances, flooring and counter tops, and we’re fortunate enough to have a huge balcony! We could not be happier here :)

The Whitney is an amazing place with many facilities around. The building is very confortable and the furniture is beautiful. All the team works in harmony and they are very polite.

The whitney at Bethesda apartments well located, close to the Woodmont triangle area. The unground pool and garden areas are the best in town! The management staff is wonderful to work with, very friendly and professional. They make the tenants feel very welcome and lots of fun events during the year!

I have recently moved to the Whitney and I could not recommend it more. The location is great, the staff is friendly and the residents are also incredibly friendly. It feels more like a community than any other apartments I have been to. Maintenance is incredibly fast and effective and amenities are beautifully maintained. Gym is small but efficient and pool is great! I cannot hear any noise from neighbors, the theater or wisconsin ave.

Move-in went smooth. Whitney concierge staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The apartment could have used a little more attention to detail with respect to cleanliness, but it was move in ready. Small amenities were a nice and welcoming touch. The Whitney is a welcoming community.

I've lived at the Whitney for about 7 months now, and it has been a great experience. My apartment is solid, well maintained prior to my renting it, and any problems which may arise (few as they are) are addressed quickly. Moving to The Whitney has been a great experience! Mr. Grinage was the biggest help! We moved from out of state which was a little stressful, but Mr. Grinage sent weekly emails a month out from our move in date just checking to make sure we were making good progress toward our move! I Love that the management company is very communicative! The Only downside is that the gym is kinda of small, but everything else is great!

My husband and I downsized recently and moved to The Whitney. We fell in love with our apartment with the expansive views and location (the views of downtown Bethesda at night is amazing) But, it’s the Whitney staff that make us call this place home. Everyone is incredibly attentive and pleasant. From the concierge and maintenance staff to housekeeping- they are all professionals who seem to have your best interest at heart. It’s a perfect place to live. Thanks to everyone who make this place feel like a home.

Very expensive and what do you get for your money? Place is falling apart, management is confrontational. They use only the cheapest materials to patch things up, doors frequently jam. Be forewarned too: Many neighbors are elderly and will complain about anything you do - even being on a work Zoom meeting in your own apartment, because the walls are paper thin so you can hear right through them.

I’ve lived here for over 2.5 years and I love it here. The Executive Concierge, Lorraine Ebbin, goes above and beyond every day to schedule fun events to bring together this wonderful community. She takes such excellent care of everyone and really makes this community feel like such a wonderful place to live. I’ve lived in many apartments Over the years and have never had the experience I’ve had here. There are families with kids of all ages, singles, seniors, and lots and lots of dogs!! The maintenance team is excellent and any issues I’ve had were addressed right away. All of the concierges have been friendly and helpful. I’ve met the most wonderful friends here and can’t more highly recommend the Whitney.

I absolutely love living here, and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. It would probably take divine intervention to get me to move. The building is beautiful with an old-time heart but modern amenities, and the staff is so kind. They are my friends away from home. And the apartments themselves are gorgeous and in a ideal location. I can't say enough good things. I absolutely love coming home every day. They have made a home-body out of me.

Lorraine, our amazing concierge, has just been nominated for Concierge of the year by Bozzuto and She Is the Best! Our active Book club, Game night, Movie club, and International nights are all her creations. She takes such good care of all of us and is never without her lovely smile. She should win! I love this community it is quiet and well maintained. I love the pool & the amenities like the garage, package receipt, fitness room & resident planned activities !
If you want to pay upwards of $30k/year for somewhere to live where only one treadmill is functioning at any given time, the Whitney is for you! The management’s excuse that someone “cut the emergency key on the treadmill” and their subsequent waiting weeks to apparently hope that a mysterious vandal resident will “return the key” is the most absurd modern housing drama I’ve ever heard of. Apparently no one in the office thought to go to Amazon and buy a $6.15 replacement part... God forbid anyone suggest that one functioning treadmill might not be enough for a building of hundreds of people. Given the choices in Bethesda and the steep competition for renters, it’s disappointing that the Whitney is not more responsive to the basic needs of their residents...

The management at this apartment complex is seriously lacking. My husband, our dog, and I had been feeling ill for a couple of months (have only lived here for 4 months) and have racked up medical bills as a result. We finally discovered this was all due to mold from a leaking air conditioner tray behind the wall to our closet, which caused a massive amount of black mold to grow behind the wall and eventually penetrate through. We immediately contacted the management upon discovering the mold. The mold has not been properly remediated, and spores are now growing back through the paint just applied over small sections replaced in the wall. Management seems to have zero concern for our health. We had to be pushy and take several hours off work to argue for staying in the guest suite while trying to look for another unit. We were finally told, after insisting that we wanted to move to another unit, that a unit that is much smaller than ours and with no outdoor space was basically our only option. The assistant property manager even made a flippant comment that tenants usually don't even get to discuss moving before 6 months but we could just look at units anyway. Management does not even have it together enough to ensure we can move into the new unit on our agreed upon day (tomorrow) nor that the new lease was properly written - it was emailed to us the day before (today) as the last member of the management team was walking out the door, to basically ensure we couldn't correct anything nor ask any questions. We have emailed and called numerous times over the past two weeks, and our emails go unanswered and calls ignored. I finally copied in the regional manager on an email and "magically" got a response from the property manager within 5 minutes, but she has since dropped the ball and the regional manager never even acknowledged my email. The leasing agent suggested that we just bleach our furniture, because "if you can't smell the mold, that means it's gone." I'm about at my wits end at this point. When you choose what is supposed to be a premium location and pay a premium rent, you expect at least common decency and concern.
The Whitney's management team is terrible. I suggest having your lease looked over by an attorney before signing anything. Also their amenities are poor and their their pricing is higher than most building in the Bethesda Metro area. Plus, you will here dogs barking every morning on their way to the elevator. I am much happier now that I have moved out.
The Whitney is perfectly located two blocks from the Bethesda Metro Station. The building itself is beautiful, clean and modern, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
