Situated in northeast end of Renton, near Cougar Mountain and the rolling Cascade foothills, the Orchards offer a residential midpoint between rural lands to the east and the densely populated lowlands to the west, where the city of Renton stretches around Lake Washington to meet the south end of Seattle. Comprised primarily of single family homes, the area offers easy access a number of large parks and close proximity to Interstate 405, the gateway to the employment and population centers of the Puget Sound metropolitan region.
Downtown Renton and the extensive Boeing Renton airplane factory sit about four miles east, Downtown Bellevue lies less than 10 miles to the north and downtown Seattle is 15 miles to the northwest. The town of Newcastle lies three miles north.

Property Ratings at The Windsor
By the time we moved in, the apartment had a lot of broken parts and missing a drawer. We barely got to the leasing office a lot before we moved out and the leasing office people are incredibly rude, I called multiple times to check on my move out process and the deductible money, there were two person picked up the phone calls and can't believe both of them were so rude and impatient! Yelled at me saying " I already told you..." even before I asked my questions?!!! ( I just gave them my apartment number so they recognized me) My sister called before too but didn't get the answers ( that's true, you dont get much information before their bad attitudes kick you out of the conversation) it just feels terrible and feel like I'm paying for them to throw their attitude to me. I was being very polite and trying to be clear and short, they just don't even want to listen to your questions and don't even mention helping you. They DON'T EVEN HAVE A REPORT PAGE ON THERE WEBSITE I GUESS THATS WHY!!!!!!!! The worse place I've ever lived, don't rent here

Been in a few different units over the last 5 yrs. All have been drafty & the windows sweat. The updated interiors look nice but the quality of the work is poor & the materials very cheap. Be prepared for things to fall apart. They will fix it but when you start w/cheap, your fixes don't last. Experienced life on every floor, you want the top. You can hear everything. Intercourse, watching TV, talking at night, you will hear it. The apartments are smoke free, but if your neighbors smoke on their deck, which is allowed, you will smell it, even with closed windows. Insulation is poor. If your closet all faces outside you will get mold in it. The grounds are well maintained, drainage sucks. Heavy water accumulates outside of the bottom unit windows. Large puddles cover the walk path which is impossible to walk around w/o getting your feet wet or muddy. There are pet stations. They try to keep these areas stocked w/ poop bags; unfortunately, many of the owners w/smaller dogs do not pick up after their pets. They also have an area for your pet to run & play, it's not maintained. Parking's a nightmare. Pay the $25 for a parking spot, if not be prepared to park on the street. Mail theft is HIGH. Mailboxes are broken into a few times per year. Check your mail daily. If your mail box is vandalized you may have to pick up your mail at the post office for a few weeks. The Windsor is slow about fixing stuff like this. Compared to other properties I would say this one is over priced for what you get (amenities and quality), the location's worth it. We have a nice gym, a BBQ grill & a pool that's broken 70 percent of the time it is open. You can walk to everything: post office; restaurants; parks/schools; grocery stores; the vet; the gym; hair & nail salons & more. Get a place as far away from the leasing office as possible. The kids that use the pool and play basketball are extremely loud, have foul mouths & are not courteous. The office does not monitor where the kids come from so resident kids & kids from other apartments & from the state assisted housing run rampant w/o supervision in the summer months. The staff has always been nice & pleasant. I find they are always stressed & some do not know what they are talking about most of the time but they are easy to get a long with. Even though I would highly recommend looking at other places before committing to this one, I like it and would recommend it.

I have been a resident for 9 months. I went 2 weeks with a broken kitchen sink, an entire month without a mailbox, and now 8 months without ANY promised amenities. No gym, swimming pool, club house, tanning, racquetball court, NOTHING. When asking them if we could just break our lease or get any help from them not providing ANYTHING that was promised, they instead sent me a copy of the lease highlighting the area that says they can take away any of these things without any notice. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I can't wait to leave.
