Lyndhurst is a suburban township stretching between the Hudson River and the Hackensack River, just minutes due west of Manhattan. The easy access to New York City has made Lyndhurst a popular option for commuters, with NJ Transit rail service to Penn Station only being about a thirty-minute ride. The community’s rental market includes a broad variety of apartments, condos, and single-family homes, including numerous units in beautifully-preserved historic brick buildings.
Shops and restaurants are spread throughout the neighborhoods, making it easy to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat without having to drive. One of the townships’ most famous landmarks is the Lyndhurst Pastry Shop, known throughout the region as one of the best places to find traditional Italian cakes and pastries.

Property Ratings at The Winston at Lyndhurst
The place is constructed with the most cheapest materials, yet they say sell this place as a luxury rental. The noise level is beyond bearable. It normally smells like garbage and weed. Pet stains all over. Management is extremely rude and unprofessional. They do not maintain building at all. The gym always has broken faulty equipment that they never fix or care to check up on. It took them over 7 months to repair something in my apartment claiming the piece is out of stock. This was a complete lie. The main manager will lie to your face almost about anything to get you out of the office. They do not respond to your emails. The turn over rate is extremely high due to how poorly managed this place is. Let alone there's always eviction notices down the halls. There is never any parking also. This place needs better professionally trained management on site.
The property is poorly maintained. The gym equipment always has issues. The fire alarms go off constantly. The elevators constantly break. The entire property is surrounded by trash. For a building that is only a few years old, it will get more and more dilapidated.
I moved in Aug of 2020 and will be leaving when my lease is up . If you want a place where management does not respond and when they do you are given incorrect answers then this is the place for you. No one is ever in the office and when you call or email you do not get a response. The halls are always dirty, people smoke inside and it causes the hallways to smell, dogs go to the bathroom in the elevator and on the floor and no one cleans it. They charge you for everything like parking, trash and amenities, but they do nothing. People have parked in my spot several times and when I finally spoke to someone about it the answer I got was park in visitors. Besides the fact that there are never any visitor spots… I should not be paying almost $100 a month and be given that answer. If I could give zero stars I would… Stay away… Not worth the money at all… You will regret moving here. When you go look at the place you feel like it’s going to be nice because of course they keep the second floor looking good because that’s where the leasing office is… Don’t be fooled every other floor is disgusting
I've been living here for a year now. It's horrible The walls are extremely thin It seems like it's made out of cardboard. You can hear your neighbors so clear through the walls. It's never no parking for my guest, They have to park across the street taking a chance on their car being towed away. Because you cannot park on the main street. The trash room Is atrocious Garbage all over the place seems like they take out the garbage once a week and you pay for garbage removal. It's always trash in the hallways it takes them a couple of weeks to clean up the trash, After complaining More than twice about the mess Management In the leasing office do not respond right away To your complaints You constantly smell marijuana in the hallways even though it's supposed to be a smoke free building. This building is not where you wanna be with your family not a good place to live at all
I am still a resident here who got stuck in this bad place, don’t get me wrong the maintenance team is good but unfortunately the leasing office people are so so irresponsible… so so doing nothing that makes me leave this one star here. So I have reported this strong marijuana smell INSIDE out apartment space for months and they couldn’t do anything about it! I’ve lived here for over three years and I’m never picky, but currently I have a pregnant wife at home who is smelling this second hand smoke EVERYDAY, I’m very very desperate right now cuz the people from leasing office have tried yelling at me, calling me trying to shut me up, and now they don’t even respond to any words I say… I’m trying to leave but stuck in current lease which they don’t let you go unless you pay two months rents… if anyone is seeing this and you are currently looking for apartments to LIVE, don’t even think about coming here, so so arrogant leasing office people here. I wish I can attach smell here but unfortunately due to current technology I can’t, we are pretty much smell the second hand smoke inside our apartment EVERYDAY…
